Hotels Near Sun Young Huge Leisure Center in Shanghai

As a business traveller, when I go to a hotel, I crave familiarity, as there are often enough surprises at work. At the Radisson Xing Guo, I had high expectations, check-in process was smooth and the room was nice. However, when I came back after work, the dirty cups were still inside my room and when I called down to front desk, they sent replacement glasses from room service without any spoons after a long wait. On my second day returning from work, there was only half the normal nunber of bottles of water. The continuous little errors were unfortuante as I never knew what else would go wrong. Hotel overall was nice, and should definitely spend more time training room servicing staff.

The 2 counter staff was totally unhelpful. Checked in on an evening where the weather was extremely cold. Counter staff saw us struggling with our luggages to enter the hotel premise and made no move to assist. The wooden floor of my hotel room has some gaps in it and may be a hazard since you may trip on those holes and fall. Not able to locate any staff at the counter when i checked out during early hours to catch my 8am flight. Should have 2 chairs in the room. Hotel room is of decent size for 3 adults and there are 2 tvs in the room.

Fantastic Location with Stunning City Views This hotel is in a prime location—just steps from Zhongshan Station (Line 2, Exit 10). Simply cross the street, and you're there! It's surrounded by major shopping malls and famous restaurants, without the long queues typical in more touristy areas. We stayed on the 30th floor, and the room was spacious—much larger than what you'd get for the same price in the city center. The view was breathtaking, offering a panoramic look at Shanghai’s skyline. Since it's next to Lines 2, 3, and 4, there may be some noise from the trains, but it wasn’t disruptive for us. Housekeeping is available upon request, with complimentary bottled water (2 per day). Just note that there’s no fridge in the room. Overall, a great choice for convenience, comfort, and amazing city views!

Service was fine, room was big and balcony I liked it but since it’s an apartment why not keep pans in rooms or in storage if someone asks for what to use when they want to cook, I mean you take deposit! This Should strongly be put under consideration! No full mirrors, just for toilets 😏 no speakers, soaps are tiny and no laundry detergent! For the price all this should be included. Cleaning part I give it a 5.8

I last stayed at this hotel 10 years ago, when it was still named ”Regal International East Asia Hotel”. 10 years later, when I had the opportunity to stay at this hotel again, I was surprised that the hotel was more or less kept as the same, with a similar classy style and decor. Even the rooms looked the same! Although they were probably never renovated, the fixtures and fittings were kept in very good condition and the beds comfortable. It is located in a very classy and laid back part of Xujiahui, Shanghai which was part of the former french concession. I had a good stroll down Hengshan Road, and found that while it was tree-lined and as pretty as ever, there were more cafes and malls there now. The location is also very convenient, a short stroll away from Wukang Building, 5 mins walk to Hengshan Road station and 15mins drive from the bund. As I had just arrived from Chongqing, which is most definitely a second tier chinese city, I was taken aback by the good english spoken by the reception, which was much better than that in a similar 5 star hotel in CQ. The hotel staff all provided good service and were courteous. The room was large and I appreciated the work table, something that is not common in other hotels of similar price range. The toilet's design was a little strange though, as there was no real separation from the shower area and the sink(only had a glass door). While I didn't have the time to use the hotel's facilities, there was a large indoor swimming pool and a fully equipped gym-- with fitness instructors and classes. Very impressive. The breakfast at the lobby restaurant was also good, with a good selection of hot food and bread, nothing to complain about. I also loved taking a stroll in the garden behind the restaurant, where locals were exercising and the gentle winter breeze uplifted my mood greatly. Overall, for the price paid, it is a good value for money hotel in Xujiahui, Shanghai, I love the hotel itself and the neighbourhood it is located in. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay here again if I am back in Shanghai, China.

Pros: as first time tourists to Shanghai the hotel was easy to locate and we had no problem checking in even though the receptionist spoke little English. It was also handy to have a communal microwave and fridge for guests of the hotel. Cons: To get up to your room you take the lift to the upper levels of the building - the lift itself was dirty and looked very unprofessional. If I didn't know I was taking that lift to go up to my hotel room, I wouldn't have known it belonged to a hotel. The cleanliness of the room could have also been better.

It was overall a great stay. The lobby is cozy, fragrant and dimly lit with soft yellow lighting. The room is not very big but there was enough space to move around comfortably. Love the shower with instant heating and water temperature digitally displayed and the hairdryer has good wind strength. The toilet seat is electronically kept warm and wash basin tap comes with hot water, which really made a difference during cold weather. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with variety enough for a nutritious start to the day. The noodles made by the robot was unexpectedly quite tasty. The complimentary late night porridge was also a warm touch to end the day for guests. There are books spread out throughout the public spaces for guests to borrow (all Chinese books though). The location is rather convenient, about 10-15min walk to 2 metro stations, Jing An Temple Station and Nanjing West Rd station, lots of eateries nearby and a few shopping malls like Kerry Centre are also within walking distance, plus the beautiful Jing An Temple of course. Special thanks to the kind staff named Weekend (Zhou Mo) who extended complimentary late check out till 4pm in view of my late flight.

Excellent concierge team. The front desk and all the colleagues went above and beyond! We arrived on 5th July. Our child felt unwell from the travelling. The hotel staff was very helpful in helping us find a hospital who would offer outpatient appointments without pre-booking. She helped to get us a taxi. They are a credit to their employer. Nice and clean hotel room. Lovely breakfast buffet. Perfect location. A++++

Nice small hotel 10 minutes from the nearest metro station. Bus stop across the road. Room is clean and cleaned every day. There is no fridge in the room, but you can leave your beer in the fridge at reception. The staff speaks little English, but uses the online translator perfectly and we had no problems. Wi-Fi in the room is fast. There is a bar The Shed next to the hotel, very convenient to put a tag for Didi taxi. Most of the rooms overlook the side streets, so there is little noise. The nearest supermarket Aldi is 10 minutes walk away. In general, this hotel is an ideal option for its money.

The hotel is great, the service is great, the facilities are great. The only downside is that the room is a little small. There is also a cute robot that brings coffee. I am so lucky to stay in such a good hotel for the first time. I will list it as a must-stay hotel in Shanghai
