This hostel is amazing ! Everything is perfectly clean, at the reception they speak perfect English and can give you indications on what to do and directions.
The hostel is really nice, you have a rooftop where you can enjoy some time outside. There is a place to do laundry and they provide laundry detergent for free, you even have a place to hang your clothes to let them dry.
There is a small restaurant where you can have yunnan specialities as well as some european dish (pasta, burger).
I had a really good stay and will definitely comeback next time I am in Kunming.
The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Yi scenic area, and the hotel environment is okay, but the hotel room is not very clean, with heavy dust. I suggest the innkeeper to clean it thoroughly with a vacuum cleaner. I sneezed when I went in, and I am allergic to dust mites.
We are a few elderly people traveling together and will not book rooms online. The front desk clerk Xiao Yuan enthusiastically helped us book rooms online. The service is really good. The room is clean, cost-effective and comfortable. Also with breakfast, Xiao Li is next to introduce my friends to the delicious and fun places around them. Eating is next to the delicious street. The road is not far, it takes three or four minutes to walk. The parking lot is large and parking is safe. It is also close to the city center. The traffic is also very convenient, the hotel is right next to the highway intersection, and the upper and lower highways are very convenient.

This was my first time in Shangri-La, and traveling solo, I was curious about hostels as I'd never stayed in one before. I saw Pine Cone Hostel recommended on Xiaohongshu, so I looked it up and it turned out to be really great!
I stayed here for a total of 4 days. Three days in a private room and one day in a 4-person dorm. The front desk staff member is leaving tomorrow, which is a real shame – I'll definitely stay at Pine Cone again next time I'm in Shangri-La!!!
**Service:** The front desk staff were very proactive in resolving issues and had an excellent service attitude. After check-in, they also sent over welcome information and local travel tips, which was very thoughtful! Besides the front desk, other staff members also actively helped out whenever they saw a problem.
**Facilities:** The private rooms are very well-equipped, with a heater, humidifier, and a dressing table. They even provide disposable bath towels, regular towels, and bottled water. For the 4-person dorm, the towels and bottled water are placed in the respective lockers. The public areas also have excellent facilities. The shower area has curtains, hooks, and toiletries, with plenty of space, strong water pressure, and ample hot water. The restrooms have both Western-style toilets and squat toilets, and overall, the hygiene is impeccable. The laundry area has a dryer, washing machine, and even a shoe-washing machine – how thoughtful! The makeup area has large stools, hair dryers, and curling irons, completely catering to women's needs. Hand soap is provided at the sinks, and there's enough space between each sink so you won't bump into each other while getting ready, haha.
**Hygiene:** Both the public service areas and guest rooms are kept very clean.
**Environment:** The overall experience was fantastic. It was my first time staying in a hostel with private rooms, and it felt very special. I recommended it to my friends right after checking in. The male and female dorms are in separate buildings, and the common areas are very cozy, like a huge 'Friends' apartment. The hostel offers breakfast and dinner, which are both good value for money. It's actually not too far from the ancient town – just a few minutes by taxi, or about a 20-30 minute walk.
It's my first time to travel to Tonghai County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province. I didn't expect there is such a good hotel. The transportation from the train station to the hotel is very convenient. The bus goes directly to the ancient city, the Confucian Temple, Xiushan, and the lake. You don't need to take a car. You can walk for more than ten minutes. The rooms are clean and tidy. The customer service is warm and hospitable. There is also a laundry room.

Last week, I went to Qujing to talk about the project, and temporarily brushed the whole international business travel hotel (Qujing Baodu Store) on the platform. I read the evaluation and said that ”Baodu Road Business Travel is convenient” and booked it with the mentality of trying. It was dark when I arrived at the store. The girl at the front desk smiled and handed the room card. The nails were neatly cut. She also reminded the elevator to be on the left hand side. This detail made people feel warm.
Pushing the door directly surprised: the room is small but bright, the rice curtains are light, the sheets are pure cotton, and the pillows are soft and hard (I chose the soft ones, and I was stuck in like clouds). The independent small balcony is facing the banyan tree on Baodu Road. The wind blows the leaves rustling, which is much more comfortable than the sound of air conditioning. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the non-slip mat is coral velvet, the sink is placed with a pressed toothpaste, and even the shower cap is stacked into small squares. This is clean and strong, like my mother cleaned up.
The most poking is the quiet accommodation experience in Baodu Community. I have lived in a hotel of the same price before. I always heard the sound of corridor slippers in the middle of the night. The door is closed here. The air conditioner is low, and even the TV sound next door is tightly separated. Breakfast is more unexpected: freshly steamed potato crispy outside, with bowls of thin bean powder, and local steamed buns, which taste more than the standard meal of the hotel chain.
Compared with the last time I lived in Qujing, the facilities were old and the deposit was charged. When I checked out, the front desk directly said ”the deposit is returned, you go slowly”. There is also a box of handwritten notes on the table. Baodu Old Street twist: ”The project is smooth, eat a sweet rest”~ This is where to stay in a hotel, like returning to a relative's house.
Really Amway for business trips or short-distance friends, especially the price-performance ratio of the family room of the whole international business travel. The location is not biased, 10 minutes walk to the bus station, there are some rooms, the service is still warm. The facilities are not new but well maintained, the bed is not tired to sleep, and it is quiet enough to sleep. Next time I come to Qujing, I will set this one!

The environment is quite good, clean and hygienic, the room has no strange smell, the washing facilities are convenient, the toilet is clean, and there are lockers with password locks, etc. The staff are very enthusiastic; they offered tangerine peel tea when it was cold, which was very heartwarming! I'll definitely come back next time I travel to Shangri-La by motorcycle! The privacy curtains on the bunks are also very good.

This was one of the most exciting and memorable stays during our trip in Yunnan. I had many warm and meaningful conversations with the owner, and I can truly say that the entire staff was extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to help whenever we needed anything. Their support made our stay feel very easy and comfortable.
We stayed in a lovely room furnished entirely in traditional Chinese style, which made the experience feel truly unique and authentic. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and every detail reflected the local character.
One of the best things about this accommodation is its location. It is right inside the Old Town of Lijiang—quiet and peaceful, yet at the same time you really feel like you are part of the old town itself. It never felt noisy, but instead warm, lively, and full of atmosphere.
The courtyard is beautifully designed in classic Lijiang style, creating a space where guests can truly relax. I stayed on the second floor, and every afternoon I could enjoy the warm sunlight while looking down into the courtyard. Those moments felt incredibly romantic and special, and they gave me a deep sense of connection to the place.
A very special highlight were the two dogs, so typical of Lijiang. They are quite big, but incredibly gentle and friendly, and they truly made the place feel like home. Their presence added warmth and character to the stay and made everything feel even more welcoming.
This is one of those accommodations where foreign guests can genuinely feel at home while experiencing the real spirit of Lijiang. Everything about this stay felt authentic and heartfelt. I can recommend this place to everyone with complete confidence—it was simply perfect, a true 10 out of 10.
During the Chinese New Year, when everything else was exorbitantly priced, they stuck to their principles, offering very affordable rates. The atmosphere was great, making it perfect for backpackers, students, and solo travelers. It's easy to meet new people here. Ideal for budget travel, short trips, saving money, and those who enjoy a lively environment. Not only is the setting good, but the owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. As soon as I arrived with my heavy luggage, he came out to greet me. After checking in, he even helped me carry my bags to my dorm room – super friendly! If you prefer peace and quiet, head up to the small bar on the rooftop. It's a common area that's usually pretty empty, but you can catch a stunning view of the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' (sunrise over snow-capped peaks). The scenery is also beautiful, and they have two adorable cats – one is a bit greedy, and the other is nice and plump, hehehe. There's another common area with plenty of gym equipment you can use freely. Plus, you can leave your mark on the wall upstairs, which feels really meaningful! 😜

The hotel was in a very convenient and prime location just at the entrance of Dali Ancient City. There are a lot of food options and convenience stores just right outside the hotel both during the day and at night.
The service was inpeccable, with the hotel owner helping to carry my luggage to my room or to the car, or to help me with transport arrangements etc. The room was also clean and cosy, with all the listed amenities. Would recommend for sure!

JjukachaThis time in this hotel we got the room on the first floor and this room was quite awful. Toilet is stinky and has problems with flushing, the window outside passing all the sounds from the street and it's annoying. Other rooms aren't so bad, but on the first floor better never choose.
GGuest UserThe B&B was spotless and well-maintained with excellent facilities. The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.
胡胡姑娘We had a really wonderful experience. My family and I, a total of five people, booked a deluxe business smart suite room, which has three bedrooms. The hotel was new and clean. The location was nice, with a shopping mall, food stalls, and bus stop nearby. The decoration in the room was really nice and the room was spacious. Although it said that the room was smoking permitted, the room doesn't smell at all. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay.
LLuxiangbeibeiMy friend highly recommended this place, saying the area is fantastic and super convenient, and the shuttle service was a huge plus. The shuttle service to/from the South High-Speed Rail Station was excellent. Overall, the service was truly impeccable, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip.
GGuest UserThe hotel is newly renovated, the room is very comfortable, there is a snack street downstairs, it is convenient, the hotel service is very good, and it is also very close to the high-speed rail. Relatively speaking, it is comfortable to stay and the experience is good. You can choose this hotel if you are transiting nearby!
GGuest UserReally loved the place! The courtyard is spacious and beautifully arranged, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The host picked us up right from the entrance of Zhongyi Market and took us to the guesthouse, which was incredibly thoughtful. The luggage cart was a lifesaver for our bags, saving us a great deal of trouble. Plus, it's very close to Zhongyi Market, and public transport or taxis are both easily accessible.
GGuest UserIt is close to Kunming South Railway Station, suitable for friends to stop over and rest, and it is also very convenient for shopping and eating around it. I booked a room during the Spring Festival. Compared with other hotels, there were no additional charges, and the service was good with pick-up and drop-off at the site!
GGuest UserFacilities: The hotel facilities are quite good, but there's an issue with the property management – only one elevator is operational for over ten floors. It takes about fifteen minutes to get downstairs, which is also a torment for the staff, who have to squeeze into the elevator with us... This property management is really unprofessional.
Hygiene: The cleaning was very thorough. Although it's an old hotel that has been renovated, the rooms feel almost brand new.
Environment: It's right in the city center, with a subway station downstairs. You're right next to Shuncheng Shopping Center and Kunming Old Street. Highly recommended.
Service: The service was very warm and helpful. The front desk staff assisted us with delivering items (not takeout) and extended our check-out time. The staff's attitude was excellent.
Overall, I'm quite satisfied, except for the elevator problem. When checking out, I noticed the staff were also complaining about it. I hope it gets resolved soon.
BBarry MichaelA Warm Home in Shangri-La - Definitely Choose Wufan Shanjian!
The luckiest choice of my trip to Shangri-La was definitely Wufan Shanjian Light Luxury Homestay, and the biggest surprise was meeting the owner couple, a local ******* pair. The simplicity and enthusiasm unique to Tibetans in them filled the entire journey with warmth.
From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by their thoughtfulness: they not only took the initiative to pick us up at the high-speed railway station but also carefully reminded us not to rush to take a bath just after arriving on the plateau and to remember to turn on the oxygen concentrator at night. A family member traveling with us had a bit of altitude sickness, and the landlady Zhuoma immediately brought Coke and glucose to relieve the discomfort. In the evening, she specially brought warm yak milk and fresh grapes. Even the child kept saying that Aunt Zhuoma was as kind as family. The husband was simple and enthusiastic. When he saw that we had trouble parking, he immediately helped park the car without hesitation, so we didn't have to worry at all. When we wanted to find delicious skewers or plan the route around Napahai, they could always give the most authentic suggestions and even recommend reliable stores, which were more useful than the strategies we made.
The environment of the homestay is impeccable. As a person with a bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, the cleanliness here completely exceeded expectations - the rooms are bright and tidy, the bed sheets and quilt covers have no peculiar smell at all, and even the bathroom is cleaned spotlessly. The facilities are also very considerate, with full-house floor heating and smart devices. The oxygen concentrator by the bed can automatically adjust the oxygen concentration, completely solving the worry about sleeping on the plateau. What's more surprising is that the location is in the center of the ancient town, only a three-minute walk to the prayer wheel, making it very convenient for shopping and dining.
During the few days staying here, I was moved by the details every day: free down jackets and umbrellas, pre-prepared moisturizing masks, hot breakfast in the morning, and even after leaving, when we found that we had forgotten something, the boss would carefully send it back. This kind of warmth that is not family but better than family made the beauty of Shangri-La more concrete. Next time I come, I will definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserChoosing this Lijiang Ancient City B&B is so worry-free! Just in the center of the ancient city, it takes only ten minutes to walk to Sifang Street and the big waterwheel. You don't have to get up early to catch the traffic. You can go back to the hotel to rest at any time when you are tired. The most pleasant surprise is to be quiet in the middle of noisy, the window is the blue tiles and white walls, not noisy at night, sleep particularly fragrant. During the day, follow the ancient city to visit the attractions, and bask in the sun in the yard in the evening. This kind of holiday feeling is comfortable when you go out and come back, and it is directly full!
