It was good! No matter what you say, it's a two-story At the hotel, I didn't have to take the troublesome elevator, and there were few people at the front desk, so it was nice and quiet! There is a kitchen and a separate bathroom and toilet, so it's great to rent a bicycle! I will take care of you again when I travel next time.

The hotel is clean and if you contact the hostel, you will have a shuttle bus to the bus terminal when you check in and check out. Breakfast and dinner can be added, and I only added dinner, but it was a satisfactory meal for the price. There is no bathtub and shower in the room, and there are 3 chartered hot springs, which can be used freely when it is empty. There is also a 7-Eleven within a 3-minute walk

I love Japanese style rooms. There is a basin in the room but toilets and showers are downstairs they recommended a great restaurant down the road. I enjoyed my stay and there was a man at the front desk who spoke a little English which was great. They have good coin washing and drying machines too.

I liked the friendly staff, the fact that breakfast was included, the large public bath, and the ample amenities. It's a bit far from the station, but it's not a problem for solo travelers, and it was very affordable.

This B&B is called ”Goroji” in Japanese. I was misled by the transliterated pattern, and it took me a while to find it. The room is clean. Picture 3 shows its own bathhouse and shared bathroom facilities. Not bad😁

I was traveling solo by car this time, and overall, it was incredibly convenient. There's a parking lot downstairs, which is really great for anyone driving. The room came with kitchen facilities, which was a bit of a shame because my trip was rushed, and I didn't get a chance to cook – I just bought some food back to eat. But there are also several restaurants downstairs, which is quite handy too. The fridge in the room was surprisingly large, which I was thrilled about; it easily fit all the drinks and ice cream I bought. The room itself was spacious, bright, and clean, making for a very comfortable stay. Plus, the environment was really quiet, so I slept wonderfully. I especially want to mention the hot springs downstairs – they were a huge bonus. The spa area is big, bright, and tidy, and as soon as you walk in, you feel relaxed. The water temperature was perfect, very comfortable for soaking, and it truly melted away the day's fatigue. After the soak, there are massage chairs to relax in, and vending machines nearby to rehydrate. These little details felt very thoughtful and made for a great experience. My time was limited on this trip, so I couldn't stay longer, which is a bit of a regret. Next time, I plan to bring my family and stay for a few days to really enjoy it. Also, the front desk staff were very friendly, and there were even staff members who spoke Chinese, which made me feel very at ease. Overall, it was excellent value for money and a very satisfying stay!

The room is big enough, clean and tidy Breakfast is Japanese style, a small pot per person, warm. The hot spring is divided into three separate rooms, which are pure natural hot spring water in Caojin, soaking is perfect and comfortable. The only water is too hot, to know how to operate ditch frozen water. There is also an outdoor corridor to reach the hot spring room.

There was a large bath in a natural hot spring. The building was new and the room was clean. The staff and everyone were kind and I was able to stay with peace of mind. I am very satisfied. You can see Mt. Asama like Mt. Fuji from the window.

GGuest UserThis was my first and only stay at a ryokan so I don’t have much to compare it to. I chose this lodging because of the cats and good reviews on the food. The cats were really sweet and I enjoyed playing with them. I have 2 cats of my own so it was really nice. The food was so beautiful and delicious - the mushroom soup at dinner was amazing. I really enjoyed it. The private bath rooms were very convenient and open 24 hrs. I thought the facilities were clean and very pleasant. The location was very close to the central area and a quick walk to all the important sites including the bus station. The only comment I have was in the morning someone was smoking and the smell got ****** into the 2nd floor hallway so maybe more care should be taken to be sure the smoke stays outside. The host was so nice and sweet and I used google translate to ask questions. The matcha madeleines are so tasty I bought a box to take with me.

Mmino_chanI really liked the facilities and service, they were good for the price. The two private hot springs were just the right size for two people and we were able to relax in them. The complimentary breakfast was also luxurious and delicious. I would like to use it again if I come to Kusatsu!

GGuest UserI don't know where to start. Our stay was a highlight of our trip to Japan. This area is so beautiful and calm. We had a large room in the old house, very.spacious and with comfortable beds. The onsen in the room was amazing. But the best of all was the care of the owner in preparing delicious meals for dinner and for breakfast. Very generous and prepared with such attention. Each dish has its unique flavour. We stayed three nights and were truly sad to leave. It is a different world. We went on walks and we were given a tasty picnic box. Everything was wonderful. The place can be easily reached by train to Shimonita from where the owner can pick you up. Please visit this place. You will not regret it.

GGuest UserThe staff is very earnest and helped with the luggage and all. They just recently renovated their room with brand new air con unit and new smart lighting with remote and while the exterior may not look dashing, it is very clean and comfortable inside the room. The shared bathroom is clean and often empty as well as they have a few of them.

RRally LiaoThe family room didn't include breakfast. It had a spacious living room and bedroom. The free parking was a bit far, but still manageable, as the staff would help drive the car to the parking lot and carry your luggage to the room. The manager then gave a very detailed explanation of the hot spring facilities (using Google Translate), which took quite a while. They said it was a hot spring where adding cold water was allowed in small quantities! I quickly realized that to enjoy the original hot spring water, they didn't add a single drop, allowing it to cool naturally to around 45 degrees Celsius. For me, that was too hot and completely unacceptable. Luckily, we added a lot of water here, and it was comfortable. Even the kids dared to come in!

KkesaThere are many restaurants near the hotel, so it was convenient for dinner. The room was clean, but men had a large communal bath, but women had a small bathtub in the room. I was happy that my hair became smooth when I used amenities shampoo and conditioner. I am very satisfied because I was able to stay cheaply with three families. I still want to use it.

GGuest UserEverything was good to be honest. Only the check out timing was written on trip.com “before 12” however the owner said “it is 10 am”. We went out in the morning and we came back before 12, the owner removed all our belongings from the to the entrance so we felt about annoyed since we could only call us to excuse us before removing our belongings by himself. Also, it is not written on the website, but the owner asked us to pay 300 yen (150 each) as taxes for using Ofuro.

GGuest UserThe place is far from the city so it’s actually pretty hard to access to this place. But the owner is really nice, she helped us with a lot of stuff, including with luggage transfer and taking us back to the train station. She also made us food because she’s worried we’re not eating enough and it’s cold. On top of that, if you are planning to go snowboarding or skiing there is a shuttle bus near by that takes you to the Kawaba ski resort for free!

NNat_SThe location is perfect, right on the main square. But this ryokan doesn’t ready for foreign travelers, even Signboard only in Japanese. Workers doesn’t speak English also. And there is no kayseki dinner. In the room you’ll have matcha tea and beautiful tableware, traditional clothes. For breakfast you should choose time 7:30 or 8:30 and it’s so big (2 photo), but for me was very salty. There is two onsen - outside and inside on different floors.

GGuest UserBooked the Japanese style room with toilet. Shower room has to be shared on the 2nd floor. Room has no amenities at all. Basic hair dryer and hot flask are in the communal area. We had to set up the bed ourselves. Room was dusty and was freezing cold even tho there was heater from the air con on winter’s night. There’s instructions to learn how to kill the stink bugs. The hotel facilities are good but the overall experience wasn’t good.
