Since I was staying overnight, I prepared everything! The hot spring felt so good, I was able to relax in the lounge and kitchen, and the futon in my room was fluffy, so I had a really fun time.
We took a room in a classic style, were very pleased! The room is clean and spacious, has its own washbasin, toilet on the floor, shower in the onsen. The location is great, right next to the embankment, bus stops and 10 minutes to the jr station. The reception staff is very nice! Thank you!
It's nice that parking and breakfast are free. Although the room was a one-room apartment type building and was built several years ago, it was kept well-maintained.
I think this price is acceptable as it is within walking distance to the city.
It's not far from the station. Since the Jr. train was out of service, I arrived very late. The front desk carefully reserved the keys and accommodation information, which was very considerate and welcoming.
The environment is average, the bed is a little unclean because it's a little itchy. But the price is pretty good, and basic disposable supplies are provided. I couldn't sleep at night because there was so much noise upstairs.
Very nice room! !
The layout is a bit strange, not square, but the room is large and very clean, the toilet and bathroom are separated, there is a hot spring on the top floor to soak, the soup is outdoor, the scenery is very good
But when I checked in, I felt a bit like a motorcycle ⋯ Some room types are on the first floor with a garage hahahaha
Check in is very convenient! The password will be sent to the mailbox, and you can go upstairs after entering the machine on the first floor.
The staff are friendly and helpful. I was allowed to leave my luggage upon check out and still explore Beppu. The team even assisted me with taking my luggage to the front door.
Rooms are clean and equipped with a hairdryer, kettle and fridge.
There is a microwave near reception and there is laundry and dryer however you need to pay.
Please note, there is no lift, only stairs to the reception from the main road however the staff helped me carry my bag.
Location is a few minutes walk to Beppu station and buses therefor easy to get around.
Thank you for a pleasant stay! I will stay again when I return to Beppu!

Great
GGuest UserThe staff members were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel overall was very cozy, particularly the onsens. Although all the four onsens were opened for all guests at the hotel, you can use one of them as long as you want because guests are instructed to hang a sign on the onsen to show that it is currently occupied. This is a great way for the guests to enjoy privacy to themselves, although it is opened publicly. Dinner and breakfast was included in the package so we did not have to worry about finding nearby restaurants. The food was delicious here! Would definitely recommend if you enjoy traditional Japanese meals to get the full experience. We had a private barbecue for dinner, and it was truly immaculate! However, there was smoke all over the hotel lobby coming from the barbecue so it would have been better if they kept the windows opened. It was also indoors so it was slightly overwhelming with all the smoke everywhere in the restaurant. But everything else was on point and breakfast was particularly delicious.
Oonlywinxit's a small homey inn, amazing for cat lovers. you get to spend 1h in a room full of super friendly cats. their homemade breakfast and dinner is delicious and very filling - you even get to eat next to another room of cats!
the only downside is the location, which is 1 short train station (comes every 40mins) away from beppu station. it's a bit in the residential area, and the walk from higashibeppu station can get a bit quiet and dark, but overall still a great place to stay!
FFredAbsolutely understated hotel style onsen resort with fully renovated facilities, decently sized rooms, clean onsen springs and most important of all, nice and sociable hotel staff with pleasant smiles.
Bath tub with gorgeous mountain view will surely give you an unforgettable memory and the balcony with greenery mountain will give the tranquility and beauty of nature.
Buffet style breakfast and dinner served with ample choices of delicious and quality foods. The ice cream is a must try!
Last but not least, the relaxation room is full of fun for you to regain balance of body and mind after the taste of different onsen. A walk to the nearby riverside is a good day time activity!
We will come again.

GGuest UserStaying in a traditional Japanese house and ryokan. Kaiseki food
I liked everything.
The facilities were connected to the main building (2nd floor) and the new building 1st floor
A small open-air bath (2~3 people) 1 male and 1 female/Indoor bath is in operation, but I didn't use the indoor bath so I don't know, and the open-air bath was very small, but there was no lack of things to enjoy the open-air bath, and I stayed on the 2nd floor of the main building, and the stairs were steep, so it was not inconvenient except for moving a large suitcase. There were 2 small hell hot spring tourist attractions within 10~10 minutes' walk, so I was able to tour them (I had to go up a little hill).
There were 2 free foot baths right around the accommodation and very cheap paid foot baths. I visited the accommodation using a rental car. Parking was available, and there was a bus terminal 5 minutes away, so I could go without a rental car or a pick-up service. Kaiseki cuisine was very attentive, with raw fish, sushi, steamed food, small soup, and dessert. Breakfast was also very clean and delicious. Since the food was served in the room, I was able to eat individually, which was convenient.
However, since it was an old house, there were traces of time here and there, and water flowed on the toilet floor, but it was not a problem to use. It was a little more simple and not fancy than the Yufuin area, but it was enough to enjoy a Japanese-style accommodation at a good price.
LLi-ChenThe tatami room was clean and spacious. Walls are a bit thin. I could actually hear sound from next door or people walking around the hallway. The futon mattress was quite thin and the pillow too hard for me. Also, I found that the filters of humidifier were so dirty that I washed them myself.
Toilets are shared by all guests but only one is for female (two for male). When I brushed my teeth and washed my face, I had to let the water run for a long time before hot water came out.
¥150 of hot spring tax was collected upon check-in, of which I was not informed in advance.
KKhemikornnatThis type room is big & very comfortable for 2 persons with big luggages, the room is very clean but we need to made bed by ourselves. Staff is very nice and can suggest the good recommendations for nearby onsen and good restaurants around there. The common space and kitchen room is also good, they are provide many type of drinking with ice for us.
This hotel is located very close to beach, Beppu tower and ‘Don Quijote’. Love it.
If you have plan to go to Beppu, it is very good choice ! Recommended!!
GGuest UserHere is a pick-up service if you contact the hotel
After the bus tour, I got off near Kinlin Lake. It was a 40 minute walk, so I wanted to go on a flat ground, but it was a car without a walking road. I experienced hell ...
After arriving at the dormitory, I met the boss, and he was a grandfather with a year old. I opened the Japanese language app first and explained it. It's different from other hotels
If you want to go to a nearby meal or a mart, you can ask the boss for a pick-up service, take you to the mart and wait until you see the market.
In the morning, Yufuin Express Guitar was 9 o'clock, so I asked for breakfast and took me at the time I wanted.
The hostel was spacious enough to stay for more than 2 people.
And the long-awaited private hot spring. Very very satisfied!
I enjoyed it twice once after arriving, once before drinking in the evening.
If I had time in the morning, I would have had breakfast.
I said hello to the boss and said he would come back to rest next time if I came to Yufuin ^^
Yufuin is recommended here if you want to fully heal in the hostel as much as you come to relax with hot springs or if you have a lot of body in the last schedule!
SSawyerzhaoIt's not far from the station. Since the Jr. train was out of service, I arrived very late. The front desk carefully reserved the keys and accommodation information, which was very considerate and welcoming.
GGuest UserI had a great stay. The owners are super lovely and will go out of their way to help you.
I highly recommend the breakfast and dinners, they were great for big days of hiking and convenient as there aren't too many food options up in the mountains.
The train carriages have a large sleeping area and a connected large room to store your things or just to hang out. Yes the pillows are like a bag of rice but it's part of the experience!
Great place to stay and great value.
