2-Star Hotels in Bagmati, Nepal

It was my second stay (1 night) at Pomelo Hotel, and as much as we enjoyed it, last September, this time was a real disappointment. The staff was as friendly and helpful as ever, booking my bus ticket for the next morning and giving me all relevant information despite the very late hour. However, I got a smokers room, disgusting for a non smoker. The young man sprayed the room, which made the smell bearable. The room was so cold that I didn't sleep at all despite the warm duvet, no heater provided. No hot water either, no matter how long I waited (the staff told me to run the water for 5 minutes). All in all, I don't recommend it at this time of the year as the hotel is not equipped for comfort in the cold season.

Nice hotel in the city center with all the conditions I need. There is a good restaurant on the top, and the coffee shop on the ground floor. The service was perfect, the men from reception, his name is Birendra, allowed me to leave my belongings while I was on track, and helped me with all the questions I had.

This trip to Nepal was a great experience staying at Flock Hostel! The hostel is clean and tidy, and the environment is quiet and pleasant. The front desk staff are excellent, whether they are handsome guys or gentle beauties, they are all warm and considerate. Every time I go out to take a taxi, they will take the initiative to help contact the driver, making the journey worry-free and safe.

I stayed here near the airport in preparation for my flight the next morning. When I asked the staff about the breakfast time, I got different answers depending on who I asked. When I went to the breakfast venue in the morning, it wasn't ready yet, so I had them call my room when it was ready. The showers are quite local and don't come with a conditioner, so if you want to use them, it's better to bring your own. It was helpful to be able to pick up and drop off from the hotel to the airport.

Had a great 2-night stay at Holiday Hostel. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful — quick to sort out transport and full of good local tips. The place has a nice, relaxed environment and the rooftop bar is a real highlight, perfect for winding down in the evening. Location couldn't be more convenient, right in the heart of Thamel with everything within walking distance. Great value for the price — would definitely stay again.

The location and cleanliness of the hotel were very good, while the facilities and service were rather average. When I asked for the bed sheets and towels to be changed, there were not enough clean ones available to replace them. The change was done the following day, which was fine for us. However, having enough clean bed linen and towels should be considered basic equipment for any hotel. I also found the laundry service quite disappointing. The hotel charges 300 NPR per kg, which I would expect to include a proper professional laundry service. Instead, the hotel simply took our laundry to a laundry service about 200 metres away, where the actual washing costs only 130 NPR per kg. The laundry was not properly clean and was still slightly damp when we received it. On top of that, the laundry service charged us for more laundry than we had actually handed in. In the end, I only paid the 130 NPR per kg, which was fair. Overall, the hotel was good, especially regarding its location and cleanliness, but the service and some basic aspects of the facilities could definitely be improved.

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay before my flight back home, as it coincided with election day. I chose it because of the positive reviews from Japanese guests. I checked in around 5 PM, and the staff greeted me with big smiles. I was instantly delighted to see Doraemon playing in Hindi on a screen in the entrance lobby! The room was incredibly spacious for one person, and I could relax by watching YouTube, Nepalese TV, and dramas on the TV. I was surprised to find a toilet with both large and small flush buttons, which is rare in Nepal. The shower room was also very large and had a shower curtain, making it very comfortable. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which was substantial and delicious.

The size of the room is OK, not noisy, the small yard is very comfortable, it is convenient to go anywhere, the surrounding food is also OK, especially convenient, the service attitude is very good, the hospitality is warm, responsive, try to help the needs of the guests.

In the alley opposite the main entrance of the Manyuan Tower, you need to cross the road to the Manyuan Tower, but it is quite close. The hotel has a large space. There are 2 tables available. There are also bathtubs and heating. The price price is high. The evening is very quiet. Breakfast can be a la carte Western or Nepalese package, 260 rupees. But the amount is not good, it is recommended to eat outside, the hotel has a parking lot, the taxi can park in, it is very convenient to check the luggage.
