place is located on the main road, bit of traffic noise and a bar next door, but was not an issue. 771's, tourist shops, supermarkets, restaurants & bars all around, also mcdonalds 100m away if needed.can book trips & travel at reception, small dining area downstairs with coffee, microwave & toaster, bit of a hostel vibe rather than hotel. room was small, but perfectly adequate for my needs. (2 & luggage might be a squeeze, but they have larger rooms too), comfy bed, hot shower and decent aircon
not far from the beach by foot.
Recommend the Taj Mahal Indian 50m up the road.
cheap n cheerful & clean, would come again.

Everything was great, except that there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room at the beginning (~15), because the rooms are aired when not occupied and a lot of bugs get in. Otherwise everything was there and clean, just a bit outdated. The staff was very nice but not always easy to find. The location is pleasantly quiet :)

Actually, I haven't expect anything much for hostel with the price of 200-300 Thai baht. Just sleep for one night with safe and clean room.
However, This hostel make me feel very comfortable like stay in my neighbor's house.
The room and bed is nice and clean. It is not luxurious but every stuff is prompt for guest like you are in your own home.
You can get hair dryer, drinking water, snack, microwave, bowl, glass, knife for share to every guest.
There is no staff in the hostel but you can contact owner or staff by phone. They are very kind and nice.
I saw a hostel staff ride a motorcycle come to hostel to refill drinking water in the tank in the night since a guest told owner that water is nearly empty.
There should be next time for sure to come back to this hostel. Very recommend.!

Really love this hotel. Clean and quiet room with comfy bed, I can sleep well all night. There are many sockets in room which I like. The staff is so nice and kind. Good location, there are restaurants and coffee shop nearby, I recommend go Mali coffee shop to grab nice coffee just walk 2 mins from hotel.

Very nice and really very clean hotel, quite fresh renovation. Comfortable big bed. In 10 minutes walk there is Lotus and 7/11, a good Thai restaurant with local food. The hotel has parking.
The only inconvenience in this hotel for me is the shower between the toilet and the sink, without any tray and curtain. But for one night it is quite enough.

The hotel is cozy, the rooms are small, but there is everything you need to spend the night while traveling. Shower with hot water, air conditioning, clean bed linen.
Of the minuses, I would like to note that in the bathroom there were items left from the previous occupant - an opened shower cap was hanging on a hook, the toilet paper was almost finished.
Otherwise everything is decent.

We were planning to drive to Phuket from Surat Thani and chose to stay here overnight and go to Phuket the next morning. Accommodation is great with elegant design and high quality amenities. No fridge in room but you can use the fridge in the common area. Had a great night's sleep. Couldn't have asked for more. There are some eateries just next to it too. 10/10

GGuest UserWe had a really nice stay at the hotel. The owner takes allot of pride in what she owns. All areas have been professionally built, there is a very small pool, but it was a perfect size for my 4yr old to practice his swimming without armbands. The breakfast was delicious. A random main was usually made consisting of eggs which I enjoyed. However my partner is vegan but still she loved the options of cereals, drinks, toast and fruit provided.
The location was close enough to walk to some locals shops but scooter rental was available.
We booked a similan trip through the host, which was a very competitive rate. Also on a evening there is a very close bar (around 5mins walk) called happy snapper. Live music, food, drinks, nice surroundings and good for children to play.

JJarek MecinaWe spent a few fantastic days at Secret Garden Homestay and we can fully recommend this place! Everything was at the highest level – from the wonderful atmosphere, through comfortable accommodation, to the hospitality of the hosts.
The hotel is located in a quiet green area, which makes you really relax and feel the island's climate. The rooms are clean, spacious and very climate-friendly, and the proximity of the forest adds this unique charm to the place.
The biggest assets of Secret Garden Homestay are, however, – hosts hearty, helpful and always smiley.They were happy to advise us what was worth seeing at Koh Yao Yai, helped in the transportation organization and made sure that we didn't miss anything.
This is a place with the soul we would love to return to. If you are looking for a quiet corner in the surrounding nature, Secret Garden Homestay is the perfect choice!

The accommodation deducted a star because when booking Reserved a bungalow room but when we arrived at the accommodation it was a standard room instead. There were only 2 rooms left, namely our room and another room that had not yet been checked in. They were told the room was full. We booked through trip.com, so I'm confused as to why they didn't change it in the system. Standard room from the beginning, or it's better not to reserve through APPLICATION walk in. Can you see the room on the cover? It makes us look pessimistic because we entered the accommodation around 8 p.m. and didn't inform the accommodation. So, are you thinking of canceling it? then let the room go However, you should call and ask what time you will arrive at your accommodation?

AAnonymous UserKuapa Resort is a great option. The rooms are beautiful and well-maintained. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning is cool and makes sleeping well even on hot nights. The hot water heater makes taking a shower a relaxing experience. The good Wi-Fi makes connecting to the internet easy and smooth.
The location of the resort is convenient, just a short distance from the main road, making it easy to travel to the main attractions. The rooms are beautiful and stylish, with a touch of luxury and the decoration creates a warm and friendly atmosphere. And most importantly, the price is cheap.

GGerryOnTourI really enjoyed my stay here as I am a lover of nature and peace and quiet. The bungalow was spacious with a lovely balcony and outdoor shower. It was fun to feed the fish everyday. The breakfast was amazing, so full I skipped lunch some days. The hosts were super kind and helpful. I have already recommended here to many friends and I would love to return one day. It's also a 5 minute bicycle ride to a beautiful sunset beach.

GGuest UserOur stay at Kura Buri resort was short (just one night) but definetly pleasent :) we had a beautiful riverside doublebed bungalow and woke up to the sound of friendly chicken and to the view on the beautiful river and its surroundings. The staff is really friendly and helpful and we were pretty happy with everything :) It's an older resort, but with lots of charm and perfectly located.

EElenaIt's very good accomodation butnot far away from Taplamu pier. If you have your own transport is good.. If not it's a little difficult with taxi: grab, bolt and indrive is not working there. But you can ask the staffs to help to call taxi but before more than 20-30 minutes. The room condition are very good: good AC , comfortable mattress, hot water, drinking water, even fridge and TV.
