The complimentary in-room water supply was continuously replenished, which was a thoughtful touch – plenty of water every day when I returned to the room, showing attention to detail and quality. The smart devices in the room were incredibly easy to use, with one-touch controls for lighting and curtains, making it feel very high-tech yet completely intuitive. What was most impressive was the front desk service: gentle and patient. From check-in to answering questions about local attractions, they always had a smile and responded softly and politely to every request, making me feel so welcome. With excellent hardware and outstanding service, I will definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the city.

GGuest UserWhat's it like to be a ”castle owner” for a night? The Sun Island Castle Hotel, located on the scenic banks of the Songhua River, boasts a charming European architectural style. The first floor is home to various small eateries, while the entire second floor is dedicated to the hotel guest rooms. From the third floor, you can directly access the cross-river cable car, and the fourth floor houses the Chocolate Castle Museum. This museum features an incredibly diverse collection of chocolates, and outside, there's an observation deck – a superb spot to admire the Songhua River's night view. The hotel's location is excellent, offering incredibly convenient transportation. Besides the cable car, you can also take a cruise ship across the river. The sightseeing bus also stops here, making it easy to visit all the attractions on Sun Island, with the freedom to hop on and off as you please. This time, I stayed in the most affordable ”Viscount Interior Room.” The room was spacious and well-equipped, with furnishings that truly captured the grand essence of a castle. The only minor drawback was the lack of a window, meaning I couldn't enjoy the natural scenery outside – a small regret. It's worth noting that, compared to the opulent guest rooms, the hotel's front desk seemed a bit understated. The small reception counter is tucked away in a corner on the first floor, which felt a little out of sync with the ”Chocolate Castle” theme. Personally, I suggest designing the front desk in the shape of chocolate and having the reception staff wear more distinctive attire. Wouldn't that better align with the magical theme of this place? Overall, this was a surprisingly delightful stay, highly recommended for those who appreciate unique hotels.

YYanggaomeinvTraveling to Harbin with my child, our first stop was the Xana Hotel (Harbin Central Street Sophia Church). The hotel's location is perfect, situated in the middle-north section of Central Street, making it incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. Zhaolin Park is just 100 meters east, across the street, and the main Central Street is 50 meters west. St. Sophia Cathedral is about 500-800 meters away on foot. The hotel lobby was super cozy, offering a stamp check-in and afternoon tea. The staff provided excellent service. Since I hadn't planned my trip and decided to go last minute, I asked about Harbin's specialties. They even added me on WeChat and sent me a guide to dining, entertainment, and attractions around the hotel. The breakfast was incredibly rich, meeting all the nutritional needs (meat, eggs, milk, fruit) required for traveling with a child. On the day of check-out, I decided last minute to take some travel photos with my child near St. Sophia, which delayed our check-out time. The staff kindly extended our check-out until 2 PM for free. All in all, our first stop in Harbin made us feel so warm. If you're staying around Central Street, Xana is definitely the best choice!!! I've already recommended it to many friends since returning to Beijing. 😙😙😙

ZZhalewanchuandaoThe hotel's decor style is very new and different from the older Holiday Inn Express, perhaps they've updated their product line. The front desk lady quietly upgraded our room type, and the room was very characteristic of Northeast China, haha. It's spacious and very clean, with not a single water stain on the faucets or showerhead, which made my OCD very happy. It's a shame we had to switch hotels later to go elsewhere, otherwise, I would have definitely stayed here longer. Breakfast was also very rich. Thumbs up!

GGuest UserThis hotel has its pros and cons, but overall I'd recommend it. Service: The service was excellent – very responsive and enthusiastic. They provided children's slippers and toiletries. Initially, the AC in my room wasn't working well, so the manager upgraded me to a better room for free, which was a huge plus. I noticed that many women in Harbin are beautiful, whether at hotels, attractions, or even restaurants; their makeup is also lovely and elegant – another bonus. The afternoon tea was 'better than nothing,' but the breakfast was truly worth it. One morning, the stir-fried green beans with pork were incredibly fragrant and delicious – it was a pleasant surprise to have such fresh, 'wok hei' (breath of the wok) dishes early in the morning. Big points for that! Cleanliness: I'm not overly picky about details. As long as there's no obvious dirt, it's fine. The room and bedding were free of any strange odors. Environment: The location is fantastic, right at the entrance of Central Street. There's a subway station and an airport shuttle stop just a short walk away. The first picture shows the view from my window, where you can see St. Sophia Cathedral and the beginning of Central Street. Facilities: You can tell the hotel has been renovated from an older building. The bathroom and furnishings are decent, and the bed is comfortable. However, the window frames, door frames, and air conditioning are really poor. The second picture shows the bathroom door; the latch was broken, so it couldn't close properly. The AC switch looked like an antique, and the cooling was ineffective – it was the kind of temperature an elderly person who doesn't like AC would prefer. I had to run it on full blast all day to stay cool, but the airflow in my room was quite noisy, so I had to wear earplugs to sleep. Although I enjoyed the room upgrade and want to praise them, I did have to compromise on the temperature and noise. Perhaps the heating works better in winter?

AAnnaaaaaGHow should I even start, the whole stay was just amazing although it was only for a night. I booked 3 rooms in total for my family and the host and all the staff were so nice, they picked us up, gave us fruits and drinks, treated us like a close friend and family. My dad wasn't feeling well and they kept caring about us which was amazing. They have their own food too so we ate there but it's amazing tooo!!! Oh yes, the room is clean, it's as what you see online and it's really worthy the money if you're going to XueXiang snow village. Book this hotel!

I accidentally booked the wrong dates, and the hotel staff were incredibly helpful in accommodating the change. The hotel is right next to a ski resort, and they even offered free skiing passes for the whole family, which was a nice bonus!

All kinds of amenities in the room are complete and well-stocked, and all disposable items are clean and hygienic. The attention to detail is truly thoughtful. The transportation is very convenient, as it's adjacent to Harbin Station and close to Harbin Institute of Technology. It's just a ten-minute drive to Central Street. There's also a complimentary self-service afternoon tea in the afternoon. The hardware is perfect, clean, and comfortable, saving time and effort when visiting attractions. The facility experience far exceeded expectations, offering incredible value for money.
