GGuest UserWe stayed at this guesthouse with our kids for our trip to Disneyland. It's about a 10-minute drive from the park, and the owner provides a complimentary shuttle service, dropping us off in the morning and picking us up in the evening. We hadn't booked our tickets in advance, but the owner even helped us connect with a concierge service to get them. All the rooms are themed, which was a big hit, and it offers great value for money. Plus, the kids loved being able to feed the rabbits!

GGuest UserExcellent stay! The staff is friendly, inviting and welcoming! The hotel location is great- just steps away from Nanjing Rd pedestrian street. The room was simply fabulous! We had a family room with two beds and an amazing view of the Bund. It’s tastefully decorated and well appointed. The beds were comfy with soft sheets and great pillows. They provided slippers and robes along with toothbrush, shower cap, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. The room also has a tea kettle, water and a mini fridge. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided too. There are plenty of outlets and adequate lighting. The hotel also has 2 robots that will deliver goods/food directly to your room. My son got a kick out of that. They also have a free laundry room with washers, dryers, laundry detergent, ironing board and irons. The front desk staff was amazing . They were so friendly and helpful. They also will hold your luggage as you explore free of charge. We moved around during our trip to China and this hotel was our top stay! It was luxurious without the hefty price tag. I would stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone!! The breakfast was good ( mostly Chinese cuisine) however the seating area was limited. They offered water, coffee, bottled soda, juice etc.

HHuangxingqiangThe hotel upgraded my Executive King Room to an Executive Twin Room, which was much more comfortable for our family of four. For an additional preferential price of just over 800 yuan, both kids also got to enjoy the Executive Lounge dining. Our butler, May, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive; when she saw I hadn't finished my champagne at FLTFLAIR on the 58th floor, she even prepared a champagne stopper so I could take it with me! 😄 The view from the room's window was absolutely unbeatable and stunning, as you can see in the photos! If you're staying in an executive room, I highly recommend having breakfast on the 52nd floor. The variety is much richer, and if you can snag a window seat, you'll enjoy an even more beautiful view, as shown in the video! One thing to note: all the surrounding buildings, including the Oriental Pearl Tower and those across the Huangpu River, turn off their lights automatically at 11 PM every night. So, if you plan to go up to the 58th floor for photos, don't go too late.

IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

GGuest Userwe stayed here for the free shuttle to disneyland and pick up to and from the airport. disneyland shuttle only operates 720am (to disney) and 1020pm (back) its early but the park opens at 830am and we reached the park’s entrance after walking at about 815am so it works out. airport pick up has no timing, you contact the hotel to get their wechat and arrange for the shuttle. for shuttle to the airport they have hourly timing except the early mornings 4am, 6am, 8am, 10am then hourly. can check with the front desk. rooms wise it was so smelly with smoke and the sheets were obviously not changed because it reeked and they definitely knew because our windows were opened and the air freshener was plugged in. saving grace was the breakfast we paid for and shuttles

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.

AAnonymous UserThe room amenities felt a bit subpar. It's advertised as 'premium' but doesn't quite live up to it. The toilet is electric, which feels fancy when it opens automatically as you approach, but then it often closes on its own just as quickly. The electric curtains are a nice touch, but they can't be voice-controlled and don't close completely. The ceiling lights are motion-sensor activated, which is cool, but they frequently don't turn on when you want them to, leaving the room feeling quite dark. There's a fridge in the room, but it's incredibly noisy. The hairdryer is weak; the airflow isn't strong, and it doesn't get hot enough. While the environment and overall decor are fine, the amenities are truly disappointing.
