Hotels in Chongming Island, Changxing Island, Hengsha Island, Shanghai

During weekdays, the hotel wasn't crowded. The reading area, gym, and laundry room were all open 24 hours, small, but clean and tidy. It was nice to have a bowl of congee downstairs in the evening. The room itself was good too, and the bedside table had wireless charging.

I specifically chose the off-season to bring my child to Chongming, and to my surprise, the experience was absolutely fantastic. It felt like we had the entire hotel to ourselves! Environment and Atmosphere: The air was incredibly fresh, and the resort grounds were exceptionally quiet. Without the hustle and bustle of peak season, every stroll was a pure delight and very relaxing. Activities and Experience: Even though there weren't many guests, the hotel's activity schedule wasn't cut back at all. The activities were rich and varied, and my child had so much fun they didn't want to stop. Dining: I must praise the food – whether it was breakfast or other meals, the ingredients were incredibly fresh, allowing you to taste their natural deliciousness. It's not easy to find good food outside, so we ended up having all our meals at the hotel with the child. The breakfast portions were super generous, and while the main meals weren't cheap, the servings were truly ample. Service: What was most heartwarming were the staff. Even with fewer guests, their enthusiasm didn't wane one bit. They were especially attentive to children, providing thoughtful and friendly service. Overall, it was a stay that far exceeded our expectations. The whole family loved it, especially the little one, who is already looking forward to coming back.

The room is not big, but the design is reasonable. It is quite comfortable to live in. It is clean overall. Although it is small, it has everything (small refrigerator, scale is not included). The front desk staff in the lobby is also quite professional. There is also a small area for children to play at the door. The breakfast restaurant is quite satisfactory. The dishes are as shown in the picture, including noodles, bread, porridge, etc. There is also a self-service laundry room on the second floor, which is quite convenient for business trips.

We booked the last capsule hotel room for the meteor shower. The butler added us on WeChat beforehand, making check-in very convenient. The environment was quite nice, and the capsule itself had a futuristic feel. It was a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony, and the air conditioning was quite warm, though a bit noisy at night. The stargazing conditions at the campsite were good; we brought our own binoculars and placed them on the balcony, which was very convenient. We could see many stars at night, and there were a few meteors, but it was too cold. We also went to see a bonfire party and a metal flower performance, which the kids loved and kept asking if there would be any more. The capsule room had a glass roof where you could see the stars outside, which was quite interesting. The temperature was close to freezing the next day, but the sun was shining brightly. Unfortunately, it was too cold outside, so we took a short walk and went back. I think if it hadn't been so cold, we might have participated in more activities.

The season has been fully upgraded. I traveled to many areas this month, including Anhui, the city and the suburbs. They have been uniformly upgraded and are spacious, like a star hotel... The front desk service is simple and clear... This time a fat guy also gave me a cup of Costa coffee. Hey, my heart was warmed. It was just that the remote control of the room was not easy to use... Changxing Island is now full of people from the shipyard, from students to teachers to workers to foreign guests. The ships built in Jiangnan are the face of our country and the forefront of the best manufacturing industry. I wish the motherland a better future and Shanghai continued healthy development. Reasons to love Shanghai. We have finally squeezed onto the poker table of the Western world, and our long march has just begun... Courage does not mean the absence of fear, but facing fear with unwavering determination. Courage comes from firm beliefs, surging enthusiasm, and down-to-earth steps.

When checking in, nothing was mentioned or explained. We weren't informed about the children's play facilities, nor were we offered children's toiletries. We had to ask for everything ourselves. They just handed us a room card without saying a word. Perhaps the hotel is quite old, as the in-room facilities were not great. Even with the curtains fully drawn, light still seeped through from the top. The air conditioning was so loud it sounded like construction was going on. The pillows and mattress were also very uncomfortable, and the disposable toiletries were incredibly poor. It's hard to believe this is Sheraton standard. The breakfast was also disappointing; we didn't even find Chongming cake, despite being in Chongming. The variety was limited, the taste was mediocre, and there was nothing special about it. For the price, both the service and facilities felt significantly worse than other hotels.

Spent two days at Songpin Changxing over the weekend. On August 8th, National Fitness Day, I had a two-hour photo shoot, two hours of table tennis, two hours of billiards, and two hours of tennis. On August 9th, during the 'Typhoon Day,' I spent two hours enjoying the views and two hours playing games. All of these activities were within the hotel and at no extra cost. Compared to Songpin Guilin Yanshan, where I stayed two years ago, the Changxing Island location doesn't have external scenic landscapes or nearby amusement parks to boost its appeal; it relies entirely on its internal offerings. The hotel itself isn't huge, with a lot of 'whitespace' in its public areas, but all the indoor and outdoor dining, entertainment, and fitness facilities are comprehensive, new, and very well-maintained. The noodle bar at breakfast is almost as large as the self-service buffet, which means it's quite extensive. Dinner was also delicious, especially the local lamb hotpot and fermented glutinous rice, which our group of three completely polished off. Besides the butler who maintained constant communication and coordination via WeChat, the staff at the front desk, recreation, and housekeeping were all very enthusiastic. The photographer for the travel shoot was particularly accommodating, fulfilling every request despite the high temperatures (and a heavy rainstorm the next day). Overall, Songpin Changxing is perfect for those who prefer peace and quiet, allowing you to stay in the hotel all day, with everything you need and without any disturbances.

Had a fantastic stay! The facilities were great, and the room was spotless. The service was thoughtful and attentive. Ivy, one of the staff members, was incredibly warm and patient. The hotel offers a comfortable environment and excellent value for money. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for my next trip.

I think my room was great, very new. It's a bit odd that there were no USB outlets, but everything else was excellent. Unfortunately, my friend was next to the storage room and said the cleaners were rustling plastic bags in the middle of the night, which disturbed his sleep. It was also noisy outside in the morning. I didn't experience any of that, as I sleep soundly.
