Hotels in Chongming Island, Changxing Island, Hengsha Island, Shanghai

We booked the last capsule hotel room for the meteor shower. The butler added us on WeChat beforehand, making check-in very convenient. The environment was quite nice, and the capsule itself had a futuristic feel. It was a one-bedroom apartment with a balcony, and the air conditioning was quite warm, though a bit noisy at night. The stargazing conditions at the campsite were good; we brought our own binoculars and placed them on the balcony, which was very convenient. We could see many stars at night, and there were a few meteors, but it was too cold. We also went to see a bonfire party and a metal flower performance, which the kids loved and kept asking if there would be any more. The capsule room had a glass roof where you could see the stars outside, which was quite interesting. The temperature was close to freezing the next day, but the sun was shining brightly. Unfortunately, it was too cold outside, so we took a short walk and went back. I think if it hadn't been so cold, we might have participated in more activities.

The room was generally clean and tidy, with no odor or cigarette smoke. The bathroom facilities were also acceptable. The value for money was quite good for a one-night stay. The location is also great, not far from the Forest Park. Free parking is available at the entrance if you drive. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Chongming.

Though, the location does not have many choices for food but living here is quite a pleasant one, especially the front desk staff Ms. Trancy Zhou. She has shown an excellent of services to help overseas traveler. She event extend her help getting the customer for taxi. This hotel is clean and quite, just that a bit of inconvenient for food and shortage of good pub. There is a simple corner with selling some drinks but there is no TV for sport channels like live football or others sport etc. I sincerely hope there will be vast improvement on this hotel the next time visiting again.

The room is clean and tidy, with intelligent voice control throughout the house. It is very convenient to turn on and off the lights and curtains. There is also Xiao Ai to play music, and the robot can deliver takeout. It is very pleasant to make tea with the Chinese tea set and tea bags in the room. There is a large area of ​​rapeseed flowers and green land outside the window, which is suitable for vacation and relaxation. The underground garage is convenient for parking and charging. There is a delicious restaurant next door. It would be better for the safety of the elderly if a handrail was installed in the shower room.

I stayed two nights at this hotel during the Ironman 70.3 Shanghai Chongming. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, and I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh amenities left during turndown service. What truly makes this a place I would happily return to is definitely the people working here. Everyone was warm and attentive, but Charlie in particular was exceptionally helpful throughout my stay. At the end of my visit, I offered a small tip as a gesture of appreciation, but she kindly declined in line with company policy. That small moment  really reflected the strong values of the hotel, as well as the professionalism and passion Charlie brings to her daily work. Well done to the whole team, see you again next year!

1On the night of check-in, my daughter had a fever. In the middle of the night, the front desk lady sent ice cubes twice and water several times to show her concern and greeting. 2The midnight snacks and breakfast in the small restaurant were delicious. 3The hotel is in a good location, on the fourth floor of Wanda Plaza. 4There is a little noise from the KTV downstairs, but fortunately, the front desk kept reminding us when we checked in. I think this is very good and can actively communicate problems.

Facilities: Every villa boasts a unique style. On this trip, 10 people from 5 families stayed in Villa 58. It was spotless and well-maintained, featuring a private card/mahjong room and two smaller living areas – one upstairs and one downstairs. The only slight downside was that the main living room was a bit compact, so our group of 10 had to split into two to chat and enjoy tea. Environment: On our second day, we took the mini-train for a tour around the resort and were quite surprised by its expansive size! Electric shuttle buggies were available for convenient pickups and drop-offs. Service: The service was generally good, although there wasn't a clear map of the villas, which meant we spent a little extra time locating ours.

During weekdays, the hotel wasn't crowded. The reading area, gym, and laundry room were all open 24 hours, small, but clean and tidy. It was nice to have a bowl of congee downstairs in the evening. The room itself was good too, and the bedside table had wireless charging.

: I'm not being sleazy. I just want to express my true feelings. I'm actually a very picky person and never like to stay in B&Bs. I always choose big-name five-star hotels because the quilts in B&Bs are always very damp, making it hard to rest and the hygiene is very poor. I've tried many expensive B&Bs and they're still like this, but they don't have any problems at all. I tried to find faults with their place, except that the door wouldn't lock, but my dog ​​was able to open the door and go out by himself. The hygiene, service, and environment are all excellent. Many details are well done, such as putting alcohol next to the toilet, mosquito repellent, and a charger. They put a lot of thought into giving customers such an ultimate experience, and the landscaping inside is also very good. Unlike other B&Bs where things are placed in a mess and the flowers are tattered. They pay a lot of attention to detail. In the morning, I saw workers working on the landscaping, cutting off the old grass stalks that affected the appearance, so their management is also very standardized. Anyway, I like this place very much. I think it's also a good choice for company executives to build a team. For someone like me who is extremely busy in Shanghai every day, every day is like a war, I think coming here on the weekend to rest and calm my mind is also a good choice. I've read reports about them before. They hired a French designer who spent millions to design it. It was well worth the money. This should be a relatively successful B&B. The swimming pool is also very clean. Anyway, I will come again.
