Marriott Hotels in Shanghai

We are given a warm welcome and free upgrade to a higher floor for a better view. Appreciate that. Encountered a small incident when we check in. Something fell from the ceiling and nearly hit my friend. Feedback to reception n investigation was quickly carried out. Impressed at their quick turnaround. Findings it was dried paint from the ceiling. Have me wondering. Quite a big patch and corners are sharp. I took a pic of one of them. We were given upgrade to higher floor with desserts n sweets. However the access to the executive lounge that came with the room was not granted. Hotel will have give us the full access if they are sincere in their apology. That will be an extra step and beyond from Marriott to set them apart. Anyway, their housekeeping is mediocre. Dusty at some places and they did not clear the used cutlery. Expect the guests to wash ? Other than this , the rest of the stay is still enjoyable. Location is near Nanjing road n malls n dining. McDonald CHAGEE n subway downstairs. Need to take didi to the bund. Short drive.

Not a five stars standard hotel. But the check in staff is very friendly and attentive. Other than that all self service. Breakfast has plenty of choices, food is quite okay. Location of the hotel is opposite of a hospital, not really strategic but easy to book a ride or taxi. We chose this hotel for our last night stay because is nearer to Pudong airport. Probably won’t choose this hotel again next time.

This is a very well-managed hotel. Have been coming here for years. The staff are well-trained and very nice, and the whole hotel is well-kept. They have a really nice fitness center and the indoor pool is heated, which is great in the winter!

Check-in was fast. I would like to give special praise to Vivian Ding, who is good-looking and has a good service attitude. The room is large and clean. It has a refrigerator, wardrobe, safe, bathtub, etc. Robots deliver supplies, but no takeout. You can see the Oriental Pearl Tower. The soundproofing is very good, and I slept soundly. The breakfast of Marriott Group is OK.

Magnificent Hotel hall and quick checking/checkout. Room was spacious, thou the panoramic window on Daning Park was just behind TV stand, so not really enjoyable. Top clean. Breakfast with large selection, but the service was not really ok: at the coffee machines sugar was missing, mugs run out quickly and not timely substituted. Generally inattentive staff. The patio outside the restaurant was very dirty, like nobody was taking care of it since a long time.

Love my stay here in this hotel. The room is really nice, bed is very comfortable, bath tub beside the bed is really relaxing especially while watching TV. Ordered food in my room at dinner time. The food is indeed delicious. They also send different types of fruits on a platter at night which is such a wonderful and generous gesture. Would be great if they can have more choices for their breakfast buffet. Overall stay is amazing. I will come back for sure.
