Found a real gem with this hotel! It's great value for money, the ambiance is fantastic, and the stay was super comfortable. A special shout-out to Bertha at the front desk – she's incredibly thoughtful and sweet! She proactively helped us get a quiet room, and resolved any issues promptly. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I loved being able to pick my own blanched vegetables, noodles, and vermicelli. Plus, the lounge staff were really welcoming and friendly! My friend and I booked a river-view room, and the beautiful river scenery right outside our window was amazing. Highly recommend!

I picked this place for my Shanghai trip because the location is known to be great — super convenient for food and shopping. Was still impressed when Tristan (晴晴), the friendly polite receptionist introduced us the area. The room was clean and fresh, very important for young family, hot water with good pressure and doesn't run out. Good value for money overall, and the stay felt very comfortable and relaxing!

My father was hospitalized for surgery, so I booked a hotel for my 70-year-old mother. I initially booked 4 nights, but the hospital delayed his discharge by a day, so I extended the stay for another night. The first 4 nights included breakfast, but due to my oversight, I didn't realize the extended night didn't. My mother, expecting breakfast as before, didn't order the hospital's plain porridge for my father after his surgery (she felt the hotel's porridge was too thick 😰). When I found out, I asked the hotel if they could humanely provide just a small bowl of plain porridge, but my request was denied after two attempts. I admit it was my oversight. However, Fuzhong Hospital is indeed a bit isolated, and I had already stayed 4 nights. To have my request for a small bowl of plain porridge denied, despite asking for a humane understanding, left me personally disappointed with the hotel's human-centered service and the staff's empathy. The hotel is a service industry; it should demonstrate a service-oriented mindset and an attitude towards resolving unexpected issues, rather than simply rejecting customers' urgent requests based on procedure.

❶ The night I checked in, I called the front desk (button 1) for mineral water, but it was never delivered. I had to call again the next morning to finally get it.❷ The next day, after checking out past 12 PM, I stayed in the hotel lobby for 5 hours, leaving around 5 PM. No staff member called me about the charger I left in the room. It wasn't until I got home that evening and called the hotel that they responded the next day, confirming they had the charger and would send it back cash on delivery. What if I hadn't called? Would it just not have been returned to the customer?❸ I booked a king room, but was given a 'Transformers' themed room instead. To get to this room, you have to walk through a long corridor. At the end of the corridor, where the Transformers room is, you're supposed to use your key card to enter. However, multiple times I went back and forth, the door was just open, not requiring a key card at all. This clearly shows a lack of staff oversight regarding security!

The service at this branded hotel is consistently excellent. I've booked rooms for clients here, and my company has also held annual meetings. The rooms are always spotless. This time, I forgot to ask for an invoice, but after a quick call to the hotel, they promptly issued it for me. A big thanks to Jojo for the fast and efficient service!
