"An absolutely wonderful experience! I've stayed here many times, and I always love the service. They're so generous with water bottles – they replenish them as fast as I drink them! The main thing is, I wanted something light to eat late at night, and they had exactly what I needed: millet porridge, meat porridge, steamed buns, pastries, 6 different side dishes, and delicious fruit. The fruit was clearly hand-picked; the oranges and cantaloupe were both incredibly sweet and fresh. More importantly, my husband got sick with a cold during our stay. It was past midnight, and as a foreigner, I had no idea where to find a clinic. The front desk was incredibly thoughtful and provided me with a thermometer and a fever patch. However, his high fever was stubborn. So, I asked the front desk to help me get some medicine, and it was delivered to my room in less than 15 minutes! After taking the medicine and resting, he was completely recovered by the next day. I'm so grateful for the attentive front desk staff who helped me buy the medicine. I even went online to research which brand of fever medicine was definitely available in Shenzhen, and the front desk was so efficient in getting it. Thank you to all the staff; you guys are truly amazing! 🥰🥰"

"Location: Great location, just about 300 meters walk to Metro Lines 9 and 13. The hotel is on a very high floor, offering a panoramic view of Nanshan District. Facilities: The facilities are quite new, and its five-star rating is well-deserved. Service: It's a modern business-style hotel. The lobby manager proactively introduced the room size, view features, and facilities. Hygiene: The hygiene was very good, but the cleaning was a little delayed. I requested cleaning on the 28th, but they only came on the 29th, close to check-out time. Perhaps they were short-staffed? However, it's not a big deal."

I forgot to take actual photos of the room, but it looks exactly like the official promotional pictures, and actually felt even more spacious. It seems some rooms have a coffee capsule machine and some don't; ours didn't, and we also didn't get any welcome fruit. Perhaps they were too busy preparing during the holiday season. We ordered takeout, and it was delivered by a robot. The second time, it was too slow, so I called to ask about its whereabouts. The third time, a staff member personally delivered it, which made me feel a bit embarrassed. But it really shows that all the hotel staff are great. The hotel breakfast is above average; the variety was less than I expected, but the quality was good, and they had most of what we wanted to eat. 🥰🥰 A very pleasant stay.

DDengdengciciUgh, this place was terrible! I only gave it a slightly higher rating because they gave us a small bear plushie. The service was incredibly slow; we had to wait for everything. The staff blamed it on the weekend, but other hotels don't have this issue. We had to wait for ages to get through on the phone. Other hotels usually have a butler who proactively adds you on WeChat and responds instantly. For a hotel at this price point, that's just not acceptable. We had to call room service, and they made us pick up our own takeout. I insisted, and they finally agreed to deliver it (they said I had to sign a food safety agreement, but then never made me, which just proves they were too lazy to deliver it in the first place). The room was just okay; there was no view to speak of. When checking out, the staff told me I had booked the second most expensive room type, just below the presidential suite, but then said they'd recommend the Ferris Wheel room for a better view. Why didn't they mention that during check-in? I even put a note requesting a good view. In the evening, we went to a bar that the hotel offered a voucher for. We had confirmed a 10 PM reservation with the front desk during check-in, and they said it was fine. The bar even called our room to reconfirm and also said it was fine. But when we arrived, the server said the voucher expired at 8 PM. Then, with a 'grand gesture of mercy,' they allowed us to stay and drink, but... *sigh*... with friends present, I didn't argue, but it was pretty ridiculous. Didn't wake up for breakfast, so no comment there. The only good thing was that they extended my check-out to 4 PM, which was nice for getting some extra sleep. However, I was woken up at 10 AM by a phone call because the person I called the day before to pick up dry cleaning never showed up (they forgot), and then they said they'd come at 10 AM. 🥲🥲 Although they didn't charge me for the laundry in the end. In summary, it was awful. This was my first time in Shenzhen. Is every hotel in Shenzhen this bad, or was it just this one?

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel. However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

GGuest UserMy overall experience at JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen Bao'an was excellent, and I'd especially like to thank Guest Service Specialist Reina. The check-in process was efficient and smooth. Reina was professional and meticulous, proactively understanding my business travel needs. She thoughtfully arranged a quiet, high-floor room for me and patiently explained the hotel's office amenities, internet usage, and local business travel information. The room was clean and elegant, with complete office facilities, comfortable bedding, and good soundproofing, allowing for a restful night after a busy day. During my stay, I contacted Reina for some last-minute needs, and she responded quickly and handled everything appropriately, communicating with a warm and polite demeanor. Her service throughout truly showcased Marriott's professional standards. The hotel's location is excellent, making travel convenient, and the overall environment is grand and comfortable, suitable for both business meetings and short breaks. Reina's attentive and thoughtful service was incredibly heartwarming. I will definitely choose this hotel first for my next business trip.

GGuest UserPros - Both our rooms at level 10 were relatively close to each other facing the Wong Tee Plaza. It might be a way of the said front desk staff allocating these rooms to us to compensate for our unpleasant check in experience (see below). Spectacular views and we managed to spectate the night light show on Saturday without needing to go to the Civic Centre. - Facilities are great including 24-hour well equipped gym and sauna (best of all hotels in China we experienced so far). - Rooms are relatively new and fully equipped with necessities, has a dyson air dryer, Toto automatic toilet, automated curtains and a steamer to iron the clothes. - Breakfast had a lot of varieties to offer (personally loved the oden and sushi section), good service too. - Housekeeping was amazing. As I was leaving my room, Joy asked if we were interested in their laundry services and we declined as we do not have much laundry to do. After the first day of housekeeping, she noticed we did simple laundry (1-2 pieces of undergarment) and offered us a complimentary mini laundry detergent. We appreciate her thoughtfulness despite the fact that we initially declined her services. - Check out was relatively seamless, I believe it was the front office manager that managed our check out and explained the deposit refund procedures accordingly. - Concierge was decent too as they suggested we are better off getting a Didi to transfer our move to our next destination, and helped us load our bags to the Didi. Cons The only downside experience was check in. We requested if it would be possible to have interconnecting rooms (all good if not, at least as close to each other as possible within the same floor). We were advised that given interconnecting rooms are not available for the same type of rooms: 1.The staff provided an offer (upgrade to one of the bigger rooms that has interconnecting room with free 3 days hotel breakfast for 2 out of 4 pax). The quote/offer was outside of our budget hence we declined the offer and we just accept our original booking via Trip.com with no interconnecting rooms. 2.After we declined, the staff informed us that she miscalculated the price (from RMB 31k down to RMB 20k) for the same offer. This is very odd/confusing to us especially with the price difference due to miscalculation, and she was trying to push this offer to us again which we declined. At this point, whatever price quoted to us of this offer lost its credibility and we proceeded to stick to our original booking. 3.The staff said that she will notify us via WeChat (she added us on WeChat) once the room is ready. Understood at that time it was before check in time (i.e. before 3pm) hence we decided to grab lunch and come back after the check in time. It was past 3pm and we heard nothing from her upon returning to hotel and had to approach the front desk to ask for an update. The same staff managed to provide us key card for one of the rooms while the other room is still not ready (it was past 3:20pm at that time). She said that she will arrange one of her coworkers to deliver the keycards to us once that other room is ready. Around 3:50-4:20pm, we heard nothing (I walked past the other room and noted the housekeeping has finished cleaning up the room and left). I had to go to the front desk to request an update and eventually obtained the keycard. I am not sure if the above stems from the individual's motivation or if this is part of the hotel's standard procedure to aggressively upsell (even if we already said no) or if the front desk is pressured to meet monthly KPIs, but that left us an unpleasant check in experience and obviously did not represent the check in hospitality standards of the hotel itself. Aside from the check in, we loved everything hence we had to give 4 out of 5.

TTudoudatudoudouI was looking for a beachfront hotel near home to spend the weekend with my child. I debated between MGM and this place, and somewhat nervously booked Shanya, as online reviews were a mixed bag. Since I booked late, there weren't many room types left, so I chose the Mirror Reef Sea-view Courtyard room. Overall, the room was quite average for a hotel in this price range. However, the hotel's biggest draw is the overall experience. The free yacht rides, incredibly affordable restaurant prices – 7 yuan for fresh apple juice and 10 yuan for a large portion of steamed eggs. The Chinese restaurant's appeal wasn't just the price; the food truly exceeded my expectations. I stayed in Phase Two. Getting to Phase One was easy, either by walking along the seaside boardwalk or taking the shuttle bus. All the staff were very friendly and responsive to any requests. Even though the hotel was fully booked for these two days, I didn't feel it was crowded. I often passed by the pool and saw no one there. The beach was also very clean and not crowded at all, living up to its name as a 'secluded retreat.' My child and I had a wonderful weekend. Next time I want to stay by the sea, this will still be my top choice.

GGuest UserMy stay at the Renaissance Shenzhen Nanshan was truly a healing experience. The moment I opened the door, the breathtaking Shenzhen Bay sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows immediately captivated me. Whether it was gazing at the seamless blend of sky and sea during the day, or lounging by the window watching the sunset and twilight glow in the evening, the view was absolutely incredible. The room's decor was brand new and very modern, making the entire space feel open and bright. Both the breakfast and the executive lounge deserve high praise! The Happy Hour offerings were exceptionally refined, with both hot dishes and desserts hitting the mark. Sipping a drink by the window, while enjoying the night view of Nanshan, created an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast was equally impressive, with excellent quality and a wide variety of choices – I ate too much! The high-altitude infinity pool was stunning and a definite must-try. The service was also outstanding. The only minor inconvenience was having to transfer elevators from the underground parking garage to the 57th-floor service lobby and then to the guest rooms; it was a bit disorienting if you weren't familiar with the layout. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!
