Choosing a hotel in China can often be a hit-or-miss experience—but the Palace Hotel in Luohu, Shenzhen is truly a hidden gem. Located just 400 meters from the Shenzhen Railway Station, it’s a short and convenient walk—mostly through well-lit underground shopping alleys, with part of the route even passing a lively food street. The location is unbeatable. Right outside the hotel, Line 1 Metro is to your right, and Line 9 is to your left—both within 200 meters from the lobby. The hotel is also just 500 meters from Luohu Commercial City, one of Shenzhen’s largest malls, with hundreds of shops offering everything from electronics and knockoffs to dried food, fashion, massage parlours, and eateries. But a convenient location is only part of what makes a great stay—comfort matters, and this hotel delivers. Newly built in 2023, it’s modern, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything a tourist might need. The rooms are big and spacious. Free self-service laundry and dryers mean you can pack light. There’s also a gym, and within 500 meters, you’ll find an abundance of food options. Service is another standout. The staff are attentive and responsive. Towels are replaced promptly when needed, and even small gestures—like an extra bottle of mineral water—don’t go unnoticed. Security is excellent, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. I must give special mention to Miss Long (龙小姐) at the reception. Her attention to detail and dedication to service were truly impressive. What really stood out was when she personally carried three new 24” suitcases (which I had ordered from Xiaomi and delivered to the front desk) all the way to my room—an act that perfectly embodies “going the extra mile.” As a retired senior manager, I strongly urge the hotel’s leadership to recognize her potential. If you’re heading to Shenzhen and want a hotel with superb service and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend the Palace Hotel. It’s located just to the left of the Shangri-La Hotel—but with better value and warmth. We booked four rooms for our stay from April 23 to April 26. I stayed in Room 5419.

I’m in love with this hotel! 🥰 The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had such a good rest throughout my stay. The overall environment was clean, cozy, and welcoming. I’ll definitely come back again the next time I visit Shenzhen! !

New hotel, everything is new. It feels very cool when you enter the hotel lobby. The space is large and the design is modern. It was Saturday, and the occupancy rate was high, but Carol Li at the front desk was very good and helped us upgrade to a high-floor suite with a bathtub. The children were super happy because they could take a bubble bath. The suite was large, with 2 toilets, open views, and sufficient air conditioning. The room attendant was quickly delivered to the room when I asked him to bring the items. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool. It is less than a 10-minute walk from the Sea World Station. There is a 7-11 at the nearby intersection. There are many breakfast options, and the porridge is great. Worth staying again.

Great stay and almost everything are perfect. Even though the building looks a bit old but please don’t let it stop you from staying in this hotel. Will return again.

Outside the hotel has roadwork. It is not too convenient for taxi to stop and the roadwork sound can be loud if you are staying in the same direction. The room toilet drainage needs to be looked into, otherwise the room is clean and well maintained. Feel like a 4 star rather than 5 star hotel to me.

Nice modern comfortable hotel with a lot of restaurant around. Quite a bit traffic around so might not be too comfortable for long sleepers. Location is also convenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful 👍🏽

You can relax and spend time here. It is also very close to the beach. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the beach. When I came back from a walk on the beach at night, the housekeeper sent me a good night sweet soup, which was white fungus and red dates sweet soup. The taste was not bad. The breakfast was also very rich. There was also a separate breakfast for children. There was also a souvenir gift when I left the store. This was a very cost-effective holiday experience.
