Very dated for a 5* Hotel, especially the TV. Didn't feel like a 5* hotel compared to others we have stayed at in Beijing. Highlight was the bath. The aircon did not work properly and was a very uncomfortable stay with it being too hot in the room. Don't think we would stay again.
Yiting Zhenshe Hotel (Beijing Qianmen Pedestrian Street)

Qianmen (Front Gate) and Chongwenmen Commercial Area
The hotel is within minutes of walking distance to the subway station - Zhushikou exit A. The reception is good except mediocre English. Housekeeping is not 24hrs. We were surprised as we had asked for replenishment of mineral water at abt 1030pm. There is no closet except for a stand with 4 clothes hangers. One of reception staff is very good, he helped booked a cab for airport and accompanied us while waiting for the driver.

My recent stay at the Beijing Tiananmenwangfujing Manxin Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with a sense of tranquility and elegance that set the tone for my entire trip. The hotel's modern design, infused with subtle touches of traditional Chinese aesthetics, creates a truly unique and welcoming atmosphere. Location, Location, Location: The hotel's location is unbeatable. Situated just steps away from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the bustling Wangfujing shopping street, it's the perfect base for exploring the city's iconic landmarks and vibrant culture. The convenient access to the metro station also made it easy to venture further afield. Comfort and Convenience: My room was a haven of comfort and style. The spacious layout, plush bedding, and modern amenities provided everything I needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the complimentary bottled water and the well-stocked tea and coffee station. Exceptional Service: What truly sets this hotel apart is its exceptional staff. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I must specifically commend their honesty and efficiency. After I accidentally left a necklace in my room, they promptly contacted me and arranged for its safe return. This act of kindness truly exemplified their commitment to guest satisfaction. Beyond Expectations: The Manxin Hotel Wangfujing exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a perfect blend of modern comfort, traditional charm, and outstanding service. Whether you're visiting Beijing for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience.

If you’re a foreigner looking to engage in nightlife and want a diverse range of cuisines both regional Chinese and foreign you really can not be this location. Half way between Sanlitun and Gulou/Houhai it’s really such a great location. Close to subways and a reasonable distance from the forbidden city. Rooms were clean, daily turn down service and friendly staff! You’ll probably need to use a translation app, though.

I was only here for 3 nights, but had an extremely comfortable stay. The rooms are large and very well equipped - there is a fridge, microwave, kettle and a really good washer/dryer, which was such a blessing for me after a month of traveling. This is essentially a serviced apartment, but they also have a lovely lounge/kitchen in the basement, with a coffee machine that I may have used a little too much 🤣 It was good coffee and I was really glad for it at the start of a busy day. Their housekeeping staff is lovely as well, as is their security/doorman with the kindest smile. The reception staff went above and beyond to help me with my many queries. I had some delayed deliveries arrive at the hotel after I checked out, unfortunately, and although I'm sure my many requests may have been rather irritating as my friend in Beijing attempted to reroute/collect the late deliveries from the hotel, never once did the hotel staff convey a hint of frustration to me. They were so kind and gracious throughout, and I am genuinely grateful for that. The hotel's location is an absolute chef's kiss 🤌 There are 2 major subway stations at equal distance from the hotel, and you can pick the station based on which line you need. The hotel is located by the hutongs west of Dongsi, right at the end of the LongfuSi complex, which is essentially a long line of fantastic pubs, cafes, restaurants, and also functions as a community/park of sorts, so you will see lots of families and people walking their dogs in the evenings - I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it's a very uniquely ”Beijing” experience, not one you would experience out on the busy main roads. One of my favourite things was just walking back from the subway station and getting to immerse myself in this environment before arriving at Base. Also, I read some reviews saying it is inaccessible for taxis - this is not true, as there is a wide enough road for cars; your DiDi driver just won't be able to wait for you as there is no parking on the main street, so you'll need to be waiting for them outside. It was very convenient for my driver to pick me up when I checked out. Thank you to the courteous reception staff for putting up with all my queries and shenanigans! I'm genuinely grateful and hope to be back again very soon (hopefully next time with fewer questions, but no promises!)

Service was excellent from checking in to checking out. They are very helpful and English communication is not a problem. The rooms are very clean, good shower, and comfortable bed. The breakfast (48rmb) is also delicious. Free gym and self washing area with dryer. The only downside is that it is a 15mins walk to the nearest subway and not much to do or see in the area. It is value for money!

I had a wonderful stay with my little one. The staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived and so patient when I had an issue checking in. My daughter also took part in a cake decorating class during our stay and she thoroughly enjoyed. The pool was quite large for hotels in Beijing, and the gym met needs. Yael on the front desk, Andy for in room dining, Paolo and the team at Dacappo restaurant made our stay comfortable down to the last detail. The breakfast had enough choice, and the in-room dining portions were generous. We will be recommending to friends, but will also come back again 😃
