Hotel is where the marina is. So it is nice. It is also the opposite end to where the castle is. Fortunately, Caernarfon is not very big. It's a nice 10 min walk along the coastal castle wall. What's unfortunate is that our toilet smells of urine and that the hotel doesnt really have a drop off drive way. The hotel uses public carpark for guests, so imagine when it rains. Reception is 1 floor up. More like a cashier counter. All in all, stay was fine, just a little ”piss” off with the smell in the bathroom.
The location of the Hotel is good. It is located very close to the high street providing easy access to the shops.
The car park has electric charging facilities. The restaurant facilities are good with a vast variety of food to choose from. The room was quiet and comfortable to sleep. Will return back if in the area.
The hotel is ok if you book it for 3 people or less. I booked it for my family of 4 and the description on the booking site was different from what I had. Description on Trip.com clearly mentioned that I will have 1 double bed and 2 single beds, but 1 single bed finally changed to a sofa bed. I did discuss it with the concierge, and she said the hotel policy can arrange a sofa bed if 3 bed’s bedrooms are full. I did check again, I really didn’t find it on policy page and also room description. Lastly, the sofa bed, I actually don’t think it is a sofa bed. The sofa cannot be extended. The arm of the sofa and the back of the sofa are still there.
Really clean room, good service at the front desk but the aircon is like a cement mixer unfortunately :-( if they sort that out then it’s a perfect stay! Also parking is non existent you need to put your car in a council car park and hope it doesn’t get broken into! Btw don’t stay in a room opposite the travel lodge as you will be away all night! Other than that no issues.
The room is actually good, the whole is relatively clean, the style is the same as other Travel lodge. I encountered some small troubles when I checked-in. The confirmation given by Trip.com Booking Number The front desk had to say no. I had to ask me to show the type of Booking Number they requested. I didn't seem to be able to show the UK ID. I said that I had a name on it. Because I didn't write the phone address when I booked, this reason is unreasonable. I have been driving for a long time and want to rest. I often use Trip.com to book a hotel. I have never encountered this situation. My English is not bad, and I am also embarrassed by this. It is difficult to imagine what to do with people who can't speak English. However, I also contacted the customer service of Trip.com at the same time. The customer service was very fast. I called directly to communicate, and I checked in smoothly.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a beautiful location with steep hills on either side of the valley and magnificent views. My room was comfortable, with all the conveniences provided with a fabulous view of the mountain. The owner, who was very attentive and kind, promptly attended to the issues I had with the hairdryer and resetting the alarm after a power cut. A few things, like the lampshades were in need of replacement and there were cobwebs in the oak beams, but generally I was happy with the room.
The food was amazing! A full buffet bar of fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt, as well as superbly cooked al a carte menu; often more than I could eat, but it would certainly be a good start to a day walking in the hills. The packed lunch was generous and the evening menu had a good variety of dishes lovingly presented and with several options for vegetarians.
GGuest UserJust the perfect stay with the best host ever. Situated away from the hustle, this guesthouse is surrounded by Farmlands and countryside views. The beds were super comfortable, well sized rooms with enough storage and a well sizes bathroom. There is ample parking space and an outdoor picnic table. The breakfast served is fresh off the kitchen with lots of love. The lounge area is cozy and warm, perfect for a lazy evening. The best part of this place is the conversations you can have with this charming host and her hospitality. Definitely visiting again when around.

RRobbA beautiful building, atmospheric and old, with a great vioew of Loch Ness - really has to be the best. The hotel is a looking a little old and tired. The 4 poster suite is the best in the hotel, but neeeds and upgrade. The food also needs a total makeover. Verdict: a lovely hotel that needs major investment and upgrade. Book through a travel website, as the hotel's own rates are too high.

GGuest UserBooked room had no bathroom light or bulb in reading lamp but staff moved us to another room , which was ok but no bathroom exhaust fan , the bar manager was awesome
GGuest UserThe breakfast is amazing, it's traditional English breakfast however cooked very well. The room is clean and comfortable too, worth of money. Remember to register your car registration on the hotel parking tablet at reception.
