3-Star Hotels in Rayong Province, Thailand

This resort is pretty perfect for families or people not wanting to party every night. I stayed here with my elderly parents, and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk on the beach to the more busy part in one direction, and a few minutes the other direction to some of the more nightclub places. This resort is nestled in-between those two noisy places and you can't hear the sound of the music if you want to sleep early. This is why I would rate this place as 10/10. Something to note is that the walk to the rooms is up a hill, so if you don't like walking then maybe it's not for you. For the price, I don't think you can do better than this place.

Our Favorite Island Escape! This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave. The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings. The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special. We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

The hotel is close to the sea, but the location is quite remote, at the end of the road. There are few guests and it is quiet. It is quite convenient to rent a motorcycle to travel around the island. If you can't ride a bike, it is not recommended to stay here. You have to go to a place 1.5 kilometers away for meals

I agree with all the previously positive reviews. I liked everything about this hotel. The standard room in the B23 house is a great room: a huge bed, a view from the window, a large terrace, umbrellas, a lantern, and an electric flycatcher. The beach is not quite suitable for swimming, but by leaving your things on the hotel beach loungers, you can go swimming on the neighboring beach.

Silversand Resort offers a wonderful beachfront experience with an unbeatable location right on Ao Phai Beach. While only a few rooms are directly sea-facing, we stayed in a garden view room that was still well-appointed and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay. The buffet breakfast features a decent variety, including a live egg station, salad bar, breads, pancakes, rice, curry, vegetables, and fresh coffee. One small note is that the 10:00 AM cutoff for breakfast felt a bit early given the laid-back island atmosphere—perhaps a slightly extended timing would better suit guests on vacation mode. The resort maintains a no-smoking policy in its restaurant area (except some designated corner space), including the beachfront section. While this is appreciated from a health and family-friendly perspective, it may feel a bit restrictive for guests looking to fully unwind in an open-air setting. That said, the overall experience—from the location and food to the service and accommodation—was excellent. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and beachfront charm make it a worthwhile choice for couples or anyone seeking a relaxing island escape.

The hotel is far away from anyware. Water heater is not heat enough. Anyway it is OK when business Meetings required.

Cleanliness must be improve, found hair in shower room and toliet, bathmat already old need to change. Staff was so so not welcome. Location is prime not far from the beach

Good location, easily-accessible from highway (however, there's construction and road closed during my stay), street food night market (Mo Saroj Market) is next to the hotel.

Been to Samed Cabana on numerous occasions and really can't beat the Beachfront cabanas. However it's really disappointing and irritating to meet an unfriendly staff at the lobby. Poor service skills and definitely not the Thai way to greet guests. Hotel needs to seriously consider changing the front office manager. All the other staff are great except for one dinner where I had given them food to warm (food for my kids) and they served it to another guests! And I can speak Thai! Absolutely ridiculous. Shall return provided front office goes through a hospitality course.

Stayed here for 2 nights, no need to visit again after the experience, the service staff is unfriendly. Only one staff will actively serve you in order to earn your tip. However, squid fishing at the resort is a good activity, but it is not recommended for seasick people. The activity time is 3 hours.At least the view is good and food is normal but I don’t recommend their breakfast. You can go outside to eat . Fire show is amazing. 👍🏻👍🏻
