Service is amazing! Staff tries to do everything for guests. I came during my birthday and asked just for the good view, they told me, that I have already been upgraded to Suite. Room is huge, comfortable, beautiful. I was shocked. Thank them for planning upgrade in advance! Then next night unfortunately I felt bad and blood pressure came up very high. I called reception and at 3:30 am they didn’t refuse, they didn’t say “go to hospital”, but kindly helped me: they went to pharmacy and game me a medicine, they did all what I needed. Next day they gave phone charger right to the room. Concierge helped with the taxi every time very kind. I am happy and will recommend the hotel to everyone. Also it is very good for those who come for expo center exhibitions. Just cross the road and you are there. Thank you!

German Precision, Intelligent Serenity
Rooted in German engineering and elevated by smart technology, the hotel distills minimalist aesthetics and efficient philosophy into every detail. In the room, the Delong kettle steams with the warmth of a European morning mist, while the Xiaodu smart system acts as an invisible butler. At a gentle touch, electronic curtains glide open or closed, and the Serta mattress cradles you with cloud-like support, turning travel fatigue into a night of dreamless slumber. This is more than a place to rest—it’s an energy field where body and mind find balance between German rigor and technological warmth.
Agile Meetings, Business Excellence
The meeting spaces are designed with “fluid order” as their core, breaking free from traditional constraints with flexible layouts. Independent projectors and sound systems function like precise gears, providing efficient support for strategic collisions and creative sparks. Whether it’s a grand narrative of a hundred-person training or the low whispers of a private gathering, this space uses modern facilities and a tranquil atmosphere to become the ideal stage for writing your business chapter—making every collaboration a memorable footnote.
German Soul, Social Feast
The restaurant uses the seasons as its script and German flavors as its ink, blending Bavarian boldness with the freshness of local ingredients into a symphony on the tongue. In the classic bar, the amber foam of imported beer intertwines with the mellow aftertaste of whiskey, while the laughter of Happy Hour jumps like musical notes, warming up social interactions in a gentle buzz. The coffee aroma in the lobby bar tells another story: the burnt fragrance of freshly ground beans and the artistry of latte foam provide a “quiet room in the bustle” for business talks or solitary放空, slowing down time and awakening inspiration in the scent.
Tranquil Oasis, Energy Sanctuary
The lobby lounge uses “negative space” as its design philosophy, with a layout that deeply understands the rhythm of business travel. Light gray sofas act as silent islands, receiving visitors for brief stops; the combination of greenery and warm light quietly filters out urban restlessness. Here, you can be a decision-maker refining a plan with partners, or a traveler flipping through an itinerary—regardless of identity, this space embraces you with tranquil tolerance, allowing you to find a moment of respite in a tight schedule and recharge for the next leg of the journey.
Revitalizing Body, Private Sanctuary
The gym takes “privacy” as its keyword, striking a delicate balance between professional equipment and private space. In the morning, sunlight spills onto the treadmill through floor-to-ceiling windows, where sweat dances with the dawn to awaken dormant vitality; at night, the gasps of strength training and the stretching on yoga mats become a ritual to release pressure. This is not just a workout space, but a spiritual corner for business travelers to dialogue with themselves and regain balance outside of rational work—making health the most solid confidence during business travel.
Effortless Care, Quality Companion
The laundry room interprets German craftsmanship through details: top-tier commercial equipment functions like precise instruments, with high-temperature and UV double disinfection building a hygiene fortress; the separate washing and drying zones act as a “custom courtesy” for clothes, protecting every fiber’s softness. Behind the free service lies a deep understanding of “worry-free travel”—when you arrive dusty with luggage, clean, fresh clothes are already waiting, allowing you to focus on what truly matters without distraction.
Booked this hotel as I visited an exhibition at SINEC. Pros: Spacious, bright and clean room; high pressure shower head; hand wash smells nice; good room layout with a separate living/working area; good air conditioning to get the room cool quickly Friendly and helpful staff; offered a bottle of cold water on arrival when outside was soooo HOT, and helped to book taxi when leaving the hotel Allowed early check in and late check out at 3pm Baggage storage available after check out Quick check out process A small but new shopping mall adjacent to the hotel with Starbucks on the ground level and few local cuisines at B2 level Approx. 5 mins walk to nearest metro station Longyang Road station exit 9 (close to Line 7) Cons: The main entrance not easy to find for the first time - main reception on 5/F so needs to take a lift Nothing impressive for the paid breakfast buffet - a mixed range of western/German and local cuisines; cold water isn’t available at the time; tried apple juice but it’s tasteless because of the melting ice Sound proof feature not as good as expected with renovation (?) work conducted on 5/F; a bit noise to close the room door, and some water sound since 6ish in the morning Tips: Check which entrance (1, 2 or 3) at SNIEC you’ll need to get into when attending an event there. Take metro line 7 for one stop to Huamu Road station (exit 5) can take you to Main entrance no. 2. Best to take taxi from Maglev (Longyang Road station) to the hotel if you have baggage and outside is hot! Take metro line 2 at Longyang Road station will take you to People’s Square in ~35-40 mins without any line change

Excellent hotel-I chose this hotel because of the location (so close to the main attractions) but actually exceeded expectations. Very quite environment, super comfortable king size bed gives you deep sleep after long tiring city tour. Service was good especially newly cooked omelet and varied breakfast was sooo delicious. Really satisfied the 24hrs laundry service and gym. When I come back in Shanghai I will definetely choose this hotel again.

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed.
Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free.
The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all.
Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!
GGuest UserThis Bund hotel stay was absolutely amazing! It's just a 5-minute walk to the riverside, and my room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a perfect view of the Lujiazui 'Three-Piece Suit' – I could watch the Oriental Pearl Tower light up at night right from my bed. The smart toilet and automatic curtains were super convenient, and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the river view was just heavenly! The freshly baked croissants at breakfast were so good they were practically addictive. The rooftop bar had incredible night views, and the cocktails created a fantastic ambiance. The front desk even proactively upgraded my room and sent welcome fruits, and the robot delivering food was adorable. The soundproofing was excellent; I slept like a baby until I woke up naturally. Plus, free laundry and drying service was such a thoughtful touch! The location is unbeatable – Yu Garden and Nanjing Road are within walking distance, and the subway station is right outside. For around 400+ RMB per person, it felt like a thousand-yuan experience. As a detail-oriented person, I was completely won over. I'm definitely booking this place again on my next trip to Shanghai!
MMenglitanle. The facilities are great, and the room is spacious. Every time I come to Shanghai, I stay at this hotel. The front desk service is excellent, and the cleaning staff do a thorough and meticulous job. I highly recommend this place; they even have free popcorn at the front desk and complimentary whiskey. My girlfriend and I always stay here. The movies are also great, and there's a free membership that allows screen casting. Rooms with windows offer a view of the plane trees.
IimnotminFrom the moment you step into the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund, the elegant charm of Old Shanghai beautifully intertwines with the Bund's vibrant bustle. From your room, you can take in the Lujiazui skyline, with the Huangpu River's day and night flow just outside your window. The personalized concierge service from Aaron Echole was incredibly meticulous, and the entire staff, from concierge to the front desk, exuded the calm sophistication of a long-standing luxury hotel. Enjoying a 'Shanghai Club' cocktail at the Long Bar in the evening felt like stepping back in time to the social scene of a century ago. An absolutely impeccable stay.
GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a minimalist Japanese style, with a clean and atmospheric environment. The staff are very friendly, warm, and thoughtful. They offer a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport on the hour, which is super convenient for catching flights – a big plus!
However, staying for four consecutive days, the breakfast selection was incredibly monotonous and never changed. It got really boring after a while. The late-night snack options were also very limited, with only noodles and congee available – far too few choices.
Furthermore, during my stay, I noticed that the indoor air felt stuffy and poorly ventilated, always with a stale odor. My room was close to the road, so opening the window meant car noise, but closing it made the room stuffy and smelly, which significantly reduced my comfort.
On a positive note, they thoughtfully gave me a small souvenir when I checked out, which was a lovely touch. Overall, the service and airport shuttle were good, but the stay would be much better if they could improve the breakfast variety, add more late-night snack options, enhance room ventilation and soundproofing, and eliminate the stale indoor smell.
EElianaCThis review is long overdue! I was in Shanghai for a business trip in early March, and it happened to be raining heavily then. The underfloor heating gave me the warmest, most comfortable night's sleep, and the duvet cover felt incredibly soft. It was my first time staying in a Shikumen building, and the courtyard was so unique and stylish. Both the courtyard and the room's interior design were absolutely beautiful. The unit I stayed in was located on West Yan'an Road, very close to Xintiandi and the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It was perfect – I could just stroll back after dinner in Bei Li. Check-in was also a breeze. I saw that the host manages several other unique B&Bs, so I'd love to try them out sometime!
JjaspenI've wanted to stay at the W Shanghai - The Bund for a long time, and finally got to during my recent trip to Shanghai. It wasn't as perfect as I'd imagined.
First, the good points: The environment is nice, and the cleanliness is decent. The staff are very friendly, and the breakfast offers a wide variety. The outdoor bar was the best experience.
Now, for the less satisfying aspects:
1. Previously, when staying at hotels, you could contact scalpers or certain individuals on platforms to use their membership tiers for room upgrades. Since I booked in advance, I contacted them early about a possible upgrade. I was told that if there was an available room type on the day, I could be upgraded. However, on the day of check-in, they claimed there were no rooms available and didn't upgrade me. At the time, I checked the Ctrip app and saw that rooms *were* available. I'm a platinum member with upgrade benefits, and I still didn't get one.
2. My Ctrip booking included two complimentary drinks, but the front desk didn't provide vouchers during check-in. I only found out at the bar that I needed to go back to the front desk to get them.
3. I had a lot of things and wanted to use the black bag in the closet. Unfortunately, it was broken, and the hotel hadn't replaced it in time.
GGuest UserThe room was spotless, smelled fresh, and came with all the amenities you could need. The bedding was super soft, making for a really comfortable sleep. It had great natural light and good ventilation. The owner was incredibly warm and attentive. Fantastic value for money – a perfect stay, highly recommend!
GGuest UserThe facilities are complete, clean, and tidy. You can check in with just your bags. It's very close to the city center, practically within walking distance, making it very convenient for getting around. The price is also excellent, offering great value for money overall.
