Participating in the Spoga Outdoor Exhibition, this hotel has a relatively large room in Cologne. There is a Lidl supermarket at the door, and it is more convenient to call a taxi. I will continue to consider it in the future!

We stayed here for one night, because we were attending a concert in Cologne. The hotel was close to the venue, so for us, the location was perfect. The room was clean, with a comfortable bed/pillows and a nice shower. The staff member who checked us in was a little distracted and didn't give us all the information before wandering away... But his colleague helped us, and the check-out was very easy. If you are looking for a hotel in this part of Cologne, this would be a good choice

Very close to the station. For late check-in, you need to contact the hotel in advance to get the access code and key. The room was clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The hot water was okay, but it would be better if it were a bit hotter. It was really good value for money with the discount! Perfect for a layover.

the location of the hotel was great as it was so close to the christmas markets and city centre and train statio. the staff were very friendly and helpful and tried to provide us with whatever we needed. however, sometimes the cleanliness of the rooms were not as consistent, but this is not a big issue since we could call them up to rectify and they were willing to do so.

The Deutz tickles the brain with all things opposite and does so in a way that is never too heavy. It provides guests with little reminders that life is sometimes enriched and enlivened by taking an opposite view, opinion or side and that this can be refreshing.

It's quite close to the convention center, about a 10-minute walk. There's a supermarket nearby, but no restaurants, so you have to walk across the river for food. The breakfast is pretty limited, mostly just cereal, so I recommend bringing some instant noodles.

Located at very strategic location. Walking distance to the main tourist attraction. Many food choices are nearby. The hotel also provides free pastry and coffee in the morning. Only downside, we only realise there is a 50% discount with selected parking garage after parked our car and checked in. This is important information that should be mentioned on the website.

GGuest UserStayed as a couple at Club King Double room for 5 nights during the Amphi Festival.
Pros:
- Unbeatable location, walking distance to everything while not within the Old Town which is way too touristy. Five-minute walk from the train that takes you straight to the airport.
- Room 99% soundproof, very private and peaceful (stayed at the Club floor, 6/6).
- Amazing bed.
- Full-size working desk in the room.
- Daytime service very professional, helpful, and friendly.
- The Club Floor lounge has it's own very good breakfast buffet (included with the Club rooms at no extra cost - apart from the higher cost of the Club room itself - so you might skip paying extra for the regular breakfast at the restaurant). Also daytime tea with cake and an evening snack are served as well. The snack could become your legitimate dinner if you need it, as there are hot options and appetizers. Amazing view of the cathedral from the Lounge.
- The food was amazing.
Cons:
- The night shift staff is not at the same level as the day shift, so try to resolve your matters during the day.
- Some visible wear and tear in the room (not important to me, but might bother some who expect everything to be 100% at this price point).
Overall:
- Highly recommend, would stay again.

The furniture and furnishings showed some signs of use, but were generally clean and tidy, and the bedding was perfectly soft, ensuring a pleasant sleep. The bathroom had a nice, dry/wet area with a reliable hot water supply. The toiletries were basic, but those with skincare needs are advised to bring their own. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both prompt and helpful. They patiently answered questions about directions to attractions, but they didn't proactively offer any extra touches (such as local recommendations or extended luggage storage). GGuest UserGreat location, walking distance to all the great restaurants and shops in the city centre. Main lobby area was very nice and so were the rooms. The only minor issue in the room was that the bathroom door was in pretty rough condition on the inside due to water splashing from the shower. Wifi was pretty poor and we both ended up using mobile data the whole time we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast was good but I was hoping for a bit more variety, and the omelette chef was only present for a couple mornings out of our 6 night stay but it’s understandable because we stayed around Christmas. Great hotel for the price overall!

GGuest UserWhen I was checking in, I was a little worried the staff would be unable to speak English. However the two receptionists who helped me were perfectly fluent and answered any questions I had. I did unfortunately have to pay a city tax on top of my room, but it wasn’t expensive and this is a common thing in most hotels in Europe.
The room itself was pretty decent and had plenty of space for my suitcase and to walk around. The en-suite was great and had good towels and hot shower. The bed was comfy with a good mattress and duvet wise, but the pillows were a bit limp and didn’t have a lot in them. I spoke to another member of staff who spoke little English, who said he’d look and bring one to my room, but this never happened. Whatever the case, still had a good sleep, would have better with extra head comfort.
As for breakfast, there was a great variety of choice from fry-up food (bacon, sausages, eggs) to continental pastries and drinks. I would say the only downside was there was not enough for fruit, as there was only a few apples and plates of sliced oranges. Would have been better if there was more to choose fruit wise, but everything else was great and was a good fuel up for the day in Cologne.
When checking out, they also allowed me to place my luggage and bags in their storage room with zero charge which is great when you’re exploring for the day and have a later departure time.
Overall, if you’re in Cologne for a day (like me) or two, this place is a great option and I would stay here again!

GGuest UserStruggled to get through to the hotel as the phone number on the app used to make booking was in correct. The hotel is easy to find and transport links from the airport I give a 10/10 plus connection to the city was super easy. Upon arrival, the service desk staff were pleasant and apologised. Finally checked in and the room was clean and well done. However, my room was facing the major road and extremely noisy during the entire stay as the road is a busy one.
Ordered a late dinner and disappointed with my under done beef patty, the bun it came with required an electric knife to get through. I did complain and an apology was given.
Now, the hotel room doors bang whenever they’re being closed and made my stay unbearable. Something definitely needs to be done as I was put off!! Before retiring to bed, I hung the notice to not be disturbed..alas! the following morning after breakfast I just wanted to have a quiet time but I was rudely interrupted, disturbed coupled with the loud doors as the cleaners went about their inspections 2 x in a space of 10 minutes.
I would have loved to stay here on future visits but it’s a NO!!
The breakfast was lovely, sauna and swimming pool facilities too. I did not use the gym. Otherwise it’s in a good safe location.

GGuest UserThe location is perfect. Just 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. You can buy for 10 € a wonderful buffet breakfast. For lunch and dinner they have good meals. The rooms are very safe with single beds on the ground (not station beds to climb up). Bathroom shower is big and good. Best place to stay in Cologne Central for little money.

- Location is right in the middle of everything and few steps from the Cologne Cathedral and the Cologne Central Station.
- Most of the staff were nice and helpful. The young lady (she had curly hair) and the Dutch man were amazing and friendly!
- The room given to us was huge! It had a living room.
- The price was affordable considering we went during peak holiday season with the Christmas markets open.
The Bad:
- We were on the 5th floor and the lift was only until the 4th floor. We had to carry our luggages up 2 flights of stairs to get to our room. Also the lift was tiny! It could only fit 2 persons or 1 person with luggage.
- Heating was not working. When we arrived, we were wondering why we had 2 portable heaters (with 1 not working), we realised the radiators were not working!
- The bathroom stank the whole room everytime we came in from outside. It seemed to come from the drainage.
- The bathroom has a huge window (not frosted, no curtain) that makes you uncomfortable when showering! I had to turn the lights off at night so I wasn't visible from outside. And during the day, I had to crouch.
- The shower cubicle was so tiny! I kept hitting the shower lever so the temperature kept changing while showering. I had to leave the glass door open so I can move.
- The sofas in the living room had stains.
- The king bed was actually 2 single bed beds placed side by side and I kept falling into the middle crack.
- The mattress had a lump in the middle. It was uncomfortable.
- There was 1 female staff (older lady), who was rude. We asked to collect our luggage we left after we checked out and she had this pissed off expression like we bothered her for asking.
I had high expectations as I have stayed in Wyndham hotels before and this hotel was not up to par.
