Aside from the small shower, everything else was fantastic, especially the location. I had low expectations after reading some negative reviews before booking, but it completely exceeded them. It wasn't noisy or dirty, and the small size didn't bother me since I was only staying a few days. Plenty of food options downstairs, and the subway station is right below the hotel, which is incredibly convenient. It's a great choice for budget-conscious travelers. Oh, and you don't need a converter plug to charge your phone.

Great location, near to a few MRT station and very close to the bus station that can reach the city center too! The room is clean even though it's at the basement. Everything is good for us with limited budget and only stay for a night.

I had my brief pleasant stay at Bugis Social Stay. Boasting an exceptional prime location, it is only a few minutes’ walk from Bugis MRT station, various shopping malls and local dining spots, making it extremely convenient for sightseeing and city tours. The guest rooms are equipped with essential daily supplies such as toothbrushes and bottled water. The hotel staff are courteous and quick to respond, while the check-in and check-out processes are seamless and hassle-free. This accommodation is an ideal cost-effective pick for solo travelers and short-term stays. There are a few slight drawbacks: the in-room space is relatively compact, and the sound insulation is just mediocre. Additionally, some rooms come with shared bathrooms, and the on-site Wi-Fi is unavailable. If you book the projector room, you will have to use your personal mobile hotspot for internet access. All in all, it is still a worthy stay mainly thanks to its superb central location.

We were going to store our luggage before checking in, but luckily the front desk staff Mr. Faddilli assisted us for an early check in. We were very happy for the early check in. The hotel location is superb and the lobby is very spacious. But there were not much amenities provided for a 4 star hotel. Overall we are satisfied.

Super clean room, relatively new, with nice hospitality. We stayed 2 nights in a standard queen room with 2 adults and a 2-year-old child. The room has limited space for movement, but it was sufficient for resting at night after spending the day exploring the city. Under-bed storage is very useful for keeping belongings and freeing up space. There is limited space for prayer, but it was still manageable. We brought a stroller and were able to place it behind the door. You just need to organize your belongings well. The hotel provides two bottles of water, standard amenities (shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste), a bidet, TV, and Wi-Fi. Good location—only a short walk to Lavender MRT station and a bus stop. The area feels safe, with many restaurants and cafés along the way, even at night. A FairPrice supermarket is also available nearby for daily necessities. Halal food options near the hotel are limited; I only found two Indian restaurants, though this may be due to limited exploration. Soundproofing is not perfect, and some noise from surrounding rooms or the corridor can still be heard. I would like to apologize if any noise was caused during our stay, as we were traveling with a young child.

Great for a budget work-study day, but hygiene needs a serious upgrade I checked into The Pod Boutique on a Thursday afternoon (3:30 PM) specifically to test out their ”business-friendly” reputation. While it serves as a decent, affordable alternative to a café for co-working, there are several pros and cons to consider before booking The Work Experience (Co-working & Amenities) The hostel offers a dedicated co-working space and private office booths The Good: Plenty of power sockets under the tables, a water cooler, and free-flow coffee/tea. There’s a communal fridge and microwave (label your food!) if you want to bring your own snacks The Not-so-Good: The co-working area has no air-conditioning. There are no non-caffeinated options (like Milo or Hot Chocolate) and no snacks provided. The Office Booths: These are a bit dim and not soundproof, so they aren’t ideal for confidential or high-stakes calls. The Bunk & Stay (Mixed Dorm) As a solo female traveler, I felt safe here. There are cameras throughout the property, and the interior of the bunk itself was clean, comfortable, and smelled nice. Inside the Pod: You get one power socket, a towel rack, a hook, and a small shelf Privacy & Noise: The blind is quite translucent, offering little privacy. It isn’t soundproof, so expect noise during the early morning and late-night ”rush hours.” The Catch: There is no mini-table inside the pod, so you can't work from your bed; it's strictly for resting The Downsides Cleanliness: This was the biggest issue. The toilet hallways are very dirty, yet guests are required to remove shoes before entering. Walking barefoot there was quite unpleasant Facilities: There is only one lift (the stairs are faster/more reliable). The pantry is bare-bones (just sugar and stirrers), they charge for cutlery, and no breakfast is provided Value: Honestly, this feels like a ”slightly nice” hostel rather than a ”Boutique” experience. I wouldn’t pay the standard $42–$50 rate for this quality. However, at the $22 discounted rate I got through Trip.com, it’s a fair trade-off for a quiet place to study Summary: If you need a cheap place to crash and do some light laptop work, it’s okay—just bring your own slippers for the bathroom and don't expect a premium ”boutique” feel

We recently stayed at Kam Leng Hotel for 2 days, and overall it was a decent experience for the price. From Changi Airport to the hotel, it took almost an hour via MRT, which was manageable. Upon arrival, the hotel staff at the lobby were very approachable, friendly, and professional. Check in was smooth as we simply presented our booking confirmation. However, we were a bit disappointed with the room. The listing on Trip.com showed a room with windows, but the room we received did not have one. The only window was in the bathroom, and the view was just an emergency exit ladder. On the positive side, the room itself was clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable and well-maintained. Amenities included a kettle, coffee mugs, and complimentary bottled water for two. The Android TV was a nice bonus for entertainment, and the lighting was adequate, with a dim option suitable for sleeping. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room whenever we were out. One issue we encountered was a power outage that lasted around 15 minutes when we returned to the room, which was quite inconvenient. Thankfully, it was resolved shortly. The bathroom was clean and well kept, with a reliable hot water supply. Despite a few drawbacks, for its affordable price, I would still recommend this hotel. It is also conveniently located just a short walk from nearby parks and leisure attractions in Singapore.

Newly renovated with nice and clean room, but the wall is so thin that you can hear other people chatting and water running sounds when they are showering. It would be nice if the bathroom has separate dry/wet area, and hope they have some shower curtains because it’s quite awkward to shower with just ground glass windows. Near MRT Farrer Park station, you can access MRT by going through the mall across the hotel. Very close to Mustafa shopping center, City Square Mall, and Hawker center just 5 minutes walk. Friendly and helpful receptionist.

After a few days exploring Singapore, I'm grateful for this accommodation. The surrounding area is decent, and the hostel's air conditioning kept it nice and cool. Plus, there's a balcony where you can stargaze at night...

This hotel is conveniently situated near the Lavender Station, providing easy access to public transportation. Within walking distance, you’ll find many restaurants and convenience stores. While the rooms are slightly smaller, they are exceptionally clean. Every floor boasts a water dispenser, allowing guests to refill their water bottles at no cost. Lastly, the staff is incredibly friendly and always ready to assist.
