When I booked, the front desk informed me that there would be some noise due to renovations next door, but they were very welcoming and upgraded my room to one with a balcony and a soaking tub. The room was super clean, and the bed was really comfortable. There's a mini-fridge in the room, and the mini-bar snacks are complimentary. They also gave us breakfast vouchers, and the breakfast was delicious. The views are amazing, and it's super convenient for activities – the beach is right there, and there's a really photogenic cafe. Plus, there's a kids' club and a pet park. The beach has crystal-clear water, like a 'glass sea.' I can't wait to come back in the summer to swim! You could easily spend a whole day and night here. Nearby, there's Egong Bay, which is also worth visiting. Honestly, I think staying two nights wouldn't be a problem at all. I'll definitely be back next time! I do have one small suggestion: the soaking tub isn't very private. It's visible from many angles. It would be even more perfect if the hotel could add a movable screen that guests could use for privacy if needed. 😊

Guest UserOur two-day stay at Tomiya was very satisfying and enjoyable! Although the weather wasn't as expected, we could still feel the warmth of Tomiya! From the moment the butler added us on WeChat, they always responded promptly, no matter how late it was. Upon check-in, they proactively helped with our luggage and called the shuttle. Room requests were promptly fulfilled, and umbrellas were already placed outside our door on rainy days. The shuttle bus driver deliberately slowed down over bumps to ensure a smooth ride – many small services like these made us feel warm and welcome. Although the beach here isn't huge, it's not crowded and very clean, making for a pleasant time. Both the Chinese and Western restaurants offered excellent food and great value for money! My family and I were very happy with our experience these past two days! We'll definitely be back! We hope Tomiya can arrange more water activities on the beach, like paddleboarding or jet skis, so we don't have to go all the way to Egongwan for them.

Future Hotel Shenzhen Review (December 2025)
Overall Rating: 3.5/5 stars
Decent budget option for a short stay in Shenzhen, but falls short of expectations, especially if you’re hoping for a truly “new” hotel experience.
Location: 4/5
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a pleasant park, perfect for a quick walk or some fresh air. It’s also just a 5-minute stroll to the nearest subway station, making it easy to get around Shenzhen without needing taxis everywhere. Great for travelers relying on public transport.
First Impressions and Facilities: 2/5
Advertised as a newly opened hotel, but by late 2025, it didn’t feel fresh or modern at all. The lobby is unusually located on the 7th floor, accessed via an elevator that’s just beside a larger neighboring hotel. The lift area felt dim and outdated compared to the brighter, more upscale vibe of the bigger property nearby. The lobby itself is compact, dimly lit, and lacks any welcoming or luxurious atmosphere—more functional than inviting.
Room: 4/5
The room size was surprisingly generous for the price point in Shenzhen, where space often comes at a premium. It was very clean overall, with a large, comfortable bed topped with four plush pillows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The big flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the bathroom was decently sized with a good shower and separate toilet area. No complaints on comfort here.
Service and Issues: 3/5
The major downside was a frustrating check-in experience. Using the hotel’s systems, the receptionist assigned me to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet, it still reeked strongly of cigarette smoke and clearly wasn’t ready. I had to trek back down to the lobby (7th floor elevator and all) to get a new key and room assignment. This kind of mix-up feels avoidable and soured the arrival.
Final Thoughts
Nothing particularly stands out or excels at Future Hotel Shenzhen—it’s serviceable and clean in the rooms, with a solid location and value for money, but the dark, dated common areas, misleading “newly opened” vibe, and the room assignment error make it underwhelming. I wouldn’t skip Shenzhen altogether, but I’d definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in the city. Suitable if you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over polish.

Guest UserThis beautiful hotel is right next to Akanantara Resort. The room was clean and spacious, and it even had a sea-view balcony with a bathtub! The surrounding scenery was truly stunning, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and fruit. It's a shame the weather wasn't good enough to catch a gorgeous sunset 🌅. We'll definitely come back with family next time.

Guest UserA Memorable Stay at The St. Regis Shenzhen
During a short family break in Shenzhen, I was impressed by the signature Champagne Sabering Ceremony held every evening at 6:30pm. As I had not made a prior reservation, I thought I would miss the experience. But Kimi Chen noticed my disappointment, and together with Chief Floor Butler Alice Chen, somehow managed to arrange for me to experience it on my second evening. It was a thoughtful gesture and a beautiful memory that will stay with me for a long time.
My appreciation also goes to the entire St. Regis Shenzhen team. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, while breakfast offered an impressive selection of both Western and Asian cuisine. Sometimes it is not only the luxury of a hotel that we remember, but the people who make us feel genuinely cared for. Thank you, Kimi, Alice and the team for making our family stay so memorable.

GunaiI highly recommend the Stargazing Hotel! It's incredibly convenient, easy to find, and great for both parking and getting around. There's a parking lot right across from the hotel which is cheap and never crowded. Plus, there's a shuttle stop downstairs, so you can hop on a bus to the Observatory or Wangyuling in no time. Check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I felt very at ease, and personally, I think it's much more organized than a B&B. The price is affordable and offers great value for money, with no hidden costs. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I'll definitely choose this place again! The main draw is how incredibly easy it is to get to the attractions – just head downstairs, jump on the shuttle, and you're off!

This was a perfect hotel for us to land after a long international flight with young kids; huge hotel and compound which likely had its prime when it was first built 20 years ago; it needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep but the standout of it was its nature park access which is a must with young kids; so beautiful and lots of fun. It would be so nice if it became more popular again so they can restore the place to its former glory. Workers were really warm and friendly; breakfast was a nice touch.

This hotel, designed in a classic Hakka architectural style, is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient town, near Phoenix Valley. It offers a tranquil escape while still being incredibly convenient. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which was very spacious and featured a huge balcony overlooking the charming town. The room also came with a private large hot spring bath and a steam room – truly a treat after exploring the town. Soaking in the hot springs and enjoying a sauna after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. The hotel service was also top-notch, very warm and welcoming. They even gave us a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out.

Guest UserMy stay at the Shenzhen Fu Lin Hotel was excellent. The hotel boasts a prime location right next to Luohu Port and Shenzhen Railway Station, making cross-border travel and train journeys incredibly convenient. With a well-developed transportation network nearby, it's a hassle-free choice for both commuting and sightseeing.
The hotel itself is grand and impressive, exuding the classic charm of an established star-rated hotel. The lobby is spacious and bright, and all public areas are clean and tidy. The front desk staff were gentle and polite, handling check-in and check-out procedures quickly and smoothly. They were also patient and thorough in answering any questions, providing thoughtful and attentive service.
I stayed in a Superior King Room, which was spacious and impeccably clean, with excellent attention to detail in hygiene. The room had great natural light, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. All in-room amenities were complete and well-maintained; the bathroom had consistent water pressure, and the Wi-Fi was fast. Standing by the window, I enjoyed a pleasant city view. The hotel also offers dining and leisure areas, making daily life convenient during my stay.
For a hotel located so close to the border, the value for money in this area is outstanding. It saves a lot of time and effort for travel, making it perfect for both business trips and commutes to and from Hong Kong. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Luohu next time. Highly recommended.
