When I booked, the front desk informed me that there would be some noise due to renovations next door, but they were very welcoming and upgraded my room to one with a balcony and a soaking tub. The room was super clean, and the bed was really comfortable. There's a mini-fridge in the room, and the mini-bar snacks are complimentary. They also gave us breakfast vouchers, and the breakfast was delicious. The views are amazing, and it's super convenient for activities – the beach is right there, and there's a really photogenic cafe. Plus, there's a kids' club and a pet park. The beach has crystal-clear water, like a 'glass sea.' I can't wait to come back in the summer to swim! You could easily spend a whole day and night here. Nearby, there's Egong Bay, which is also worth visiting. Honestly, I think staying two nights wouldn't be a problem at all. I'll definitely be back next time! I do have one small suggestion: the soaking tub isn't very private. It's visible from many angles. It would be even more perfect if the hotel could add a movable screen that guests could use for privacy if needed. 😊

Guest UserHere's a detailed review of my stay:
📍 **Location:**
One of the hotel's best features is its location. It's close to the metro station, and the public beach is about a 5-minute walk away. However, it's often crowded, not a private beach, and lacks any water sports or activities. It's also right next to the Outlet Village, accessible in just 2-3 minutes via a bridge, which is a great perk for shopping enthusiasts.
🏨 **Arrival and Reception:**
The hotel entrance is beautiful and modern, making a great first impression. Upon arrival, the reception area was busy, and unfortunately, we had to carry most of our luggage ourselves. Only one small bag was assisted, while we pushed the rest of our suitcases up to our rooms.
We had booked two rooms and were kindly upgraded to a pool-view room for one of them, while the other remained a mountain view as booked. To be honest, the pool-view room was smaller than the original room we had reserved.
🛏️ **Room:**
The room was modern, elegant, and high-tech, with everything looking brand new. The toilet (excuse the description) was smart, and the hotel provided a Dyson hairdryer and special, high-quality outdoor slippers.
Our room was approximately 50 square meters, making it spacious and comfortable, with two air conditioners providing excellent cooling throughout our stay. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable, ensuring a peaceful sleep.
Sound insulation within the room was excellent, and the integrated sound system with the projector/TV was fantastic with great quality. However, when walking through the corridors, you could hear TVs from some rooms.
🧹 **Cleanliness and Service:**
Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was on the last night after the typhoon. During room cleaning, they only cleaned the balcony and emptied the trash, while the room floor remained wet, the bed wasn't made, bathroom tissues weren't replaced, towels weren't changed, and basic amenities weren't refilled.
Overall, the service didn't feel like that of a five-star hotel. Most staff members were either busy on their phones or rushing around the restaurant unprofessionally. One surprising incident was when I went for breakfast about 45 minutes before closing, and when I asked for boiled eggs, I was told they weren't available, even though there was still plenty of time before the buffet ended.
On the other hand, I'd like to thank the receptionist who checked us in; he spoke fluent English and was very helpful. I also appreciate the staff member responsible for the WeChat service, who was very quick to respond to all our inquiries throughout our stay.
🍽️ **Breakfast:**
We stayed for 5 days, and the breakfast was the same every day with no notable variety. For us as Muslims, the options were very limited, mostly consisting of toast, eggs, and fruits. I hope they add more options suitable for international guests.
💡 **Facilities:**
* Curtains and lighting are electronically controlled.
* There's a robot for room service deliveries, which was a nice touch.
* Customer service via WeChat is very quick to respond.
* Upon check-in, we received free vouchers for Wish Tower entry, as well as mini-bar drinks.
* The pool operates from 2 PM to 10 PM. I think the opening time is too late, especially for those who want to swim in the morning.
* The pool is about 120 meters long, with a lifeguard present at all times.
* Pool towels are not provided at the pool area; you have to bring them from your room, which I found surprising for a five-star hotel.
* There's a small but functional gym.
* The pool view is more vibrant and appealing than the mountain view.
📶 **Wi-Fi:**
The internet speed was moderate, sufficient for daily use, but not the best.
🛗 **Elevators:**
There are only two elevators, but during our stay, the waiting time wasn't long.
🚿 **Bathroom:**
The toilet has a heated seat feature but lacks an electronic bidet, which I would have expected in a hotel of this caliber.
👕 **Services:**
There's no iron in the room. Instead, there's a laundry room with a steam iron available for use. Frankly, I was surprised that room ironing service wasn't available, especially for a five-star hotel.
🌪️ **During the Typhoon:**
Our stay coincided with a typhoon, and the winds were extremely strong, making the balcony door shake frighteningly. Credit to the hotel for securing the pool area and closing it to prevent items from flying around. However, guests were unfortunately not informed of any instructions or warnings; we discovered this ourselves. I would have appreciated a message or notice to reassure guests and explain safety procedures.

Guest UserThe wind at Shanya is really strong, but personally, I really dislike the trend of using obscure characters for trendy spots. However, I couldn't resist my family's repeated requests and enthusiastic invitations, so I reluctantly came despite the not-so-great weather 🤫.
The road was very bumpy, with eighteen twists and turns before we finally reached our destination. At the gate, a security guard first checked our reservation information, which was quite strict.
Let's skip the essay and get to the summary 🫨. There are beautiful fireworks at night. The Western restaurant isn't expensive and the food is decent. The free breakfast is also good, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed 🍊. The service attitude is excellent and responses are timely. The room also includes complimentary drinks and snacks.
The park isn't very big and is suitable for families. The swimming pool was filled with parents and their children 👨👩👦. I feel like couples and friends don't need to go to this kind of place; it's not very cost-effective (I wouldn't pay for it myself 🙅🏻♀️). Ultimately, it's just a homestay.

Future Hotel Shenzhen Review (December 2025)
Overall Rating: 3.5/5 stars
Decent budget option for a short stay in Shenzhen, but falls short of expectations, especially if you’re hoping for a truly “new” hotel experience.
Location: 4/5
The hotel is conveniently located right next to a pleasant park, perfect for a quick walk or some fresh air. It’s also just a 5-minute stroll to the nearest subway station, making it easy to get around Shenzhen without needing taxis everywhere. Great for travelers relying on public transport.
First Impressions and Facilities: 2/5
Advertised as a newly opened hotel, but by late 2025, it didn’t feel fresh or modern at all. The lobby is unusually located on the 7th floor, accessed via an elevator that’s just beside a larger neighboring hotel. The lift area felt dim and outdated compared to the brighter, more upscale vibe of the bigger property nearby. The lobby itself is compact, dimly lit, and lacks any welcoming or luxurious atmosphere—more functional than inviting.
Room: 4/5
The room size was surprisingly generous for the price point in Shenzhen, where space often comes at a premium. It was very clean overall, with a large, comfortable bed topped with four plush pillows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The big flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the bathroom was decently sized with a good shower and separate toilet area. No complaints on comfort here.
Service and Issues: 3/5
The major downside was a frustrating check-in experience. Using the hotel’s systems, the receptionist assigned me to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet, it still reeked strongly of cigarette smoke and clearly wasn’t ready. I had to trek back down to the lobby (7th floor elevator and all) to get a new key and room assignment. This kind of mix-up feels avoidable and soured the arrival.
Final Thoughts
Nothing particularly stands out or excels at Future Hotel Shenzhen—it’s serviceable and clean in the rooms, with a solid location and value for money, but the dark, dated common areas, misleading “newly opened” vibe, and the room assignment error make it underwhelming. I wouldn’t skip Shenzhen altogether, but I’d definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in the city. Suitable if you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over polish.

Guest UserThis beautiful hotel is right next to Akanantara Resort. The room was clean and spacious, and it even had a sea-view balcony with a bathtub! The surrounding scenery was truly stunning, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and fruit. It's a shame the weather wasn't good enough to catch a gorgeous sunset 🌅. We'll definitely come back with family next time.

QituantuanThis was my first stay at a St. Regis, and overall I was very happy and comfortable. From the moment I arrived at the hotel to check in, I experienced a signature St. Regis feature: butler service. The staff at the front desk were very patient during check-in. The room itself was very comfortable with great views, and staying at the St. Regis saved me a lot of hassle.

MarinaVKFriendly staff, clean new rooms
The staff here are very friendly and answered all my numerous questions patiently, including detailed directions on how to get to the observatory. I also bought my beach ticket directly at the hotel – they offered a small discount, which was a nice bonus.
The hotel is completely new. The bed linen is spotless, and the bathroom is excellent with modern fixtures. Everything worked well and felt fresh.
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended! near I found a nice European cafe, about 5 minutes walking Mike'sKitchen&Bar

Guest UserIt was okay. It's close to Sea World, which makes getting around easy.
Late-night congee: They offer it, but I didn't try it.
Cleanliness: It was decent.
Service: They upgraded me to an Executive King Room. The Deluxe room I originally booked felt smaller than a standard room.

This hotel, designed in a classic Hakka architectural style, is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient town, near Phoenix Valley. It offers a tranquil escape while still being incredibly convenient. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which was very spacious and featured a huge balcony overlooking the charming town. The room also came with a private large hot spring bath and a steam room – truly a treat after exploring the town. Soaking in the hot springs and enjoying a sauna after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. The hotel service was also top-notch, very warm and welcoming. They even gave us a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out.

XiaoxianggongzhiThis hotel is a long-standing star hotel in Shenzhen, full of a sense of history. The walls from the second to third floors are adorned with photos of visiting dignitaries, entertainment stars, and athletes from various countries, showcasing its past glory. The dragon-patterned elevator in the lobby also possesses an artistic beauty and is quite unique. Upon check-in, the friendly front desk staff thoughtfully upgraded me to a river view room. Outside the window was the Shenzhen River, with the natural beauty of Hong Kong on the opposite bank. In the evening, I even enjoyed a splendid sunset from my room – it was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel's gym and restaurant are also worth commending. In terms of transportation, it's only about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Luohu Port and Shenzhen Luohu Railway Station, which is very convenient. The only thing to note is that after exiting Luohu Port and taking the escalator on the left (towards Heping Road), you'll need to cross a sky bridge to reach the hotel. If you can't find the sky bridge, it's easy to get lost around the railway station. Additionally, ordering takeout is very convenient; there's a takeout locker on the first floor for self-pickup, though you need your room card to use the elevator, so delivery can't reach your room door. Also, this hotel has a lot of foreign guests, making it a perfect choice for those crossing the border to Hong Kong. I will definitely stay here again. The happiest part was that during my stay, I happened to encounter the 2026 Antiques and Art Exhibition on the third floor, where I saw many genuine paintings by famous artists and precious antique collections – it was a real feast for the eyes ❤️
