Mountain View Hotels in Shenzhen

When I booked, the front desk informed me that there would be some noise due to renovations next door, but they were very welcoming and upgraded my room to one with a balcony and a soaking tub. The room was super clean, and the bed was really comfortable. There's a mini-fridge in the room, and the mini-bar snacks are complimentary. They also gave us breakfast vouchers, and the breakfast was delicious. The views are amazing, and it's super convenient for activities – the beach is right there, and there's a really photogenic cafe. Plus, there's a kids' club and a pet park. The beach has crystal-clear water, like a 'glass sea.' I can't wait to come back in the summer to swim! You could easily spend a whole day and night here. Nearby, there's Egong Bay, which is also worth visiting. Honestly, I think staying two nights wouldn't be a problem at all. I'll definitely be back next time! I do have one small suggestion: the soaking tub isn't very private. It's visible from many angles. It would be even more perfect if the hotel could add a movable screen that guests could use for privacy if needed. 😊

The front desk manager had excellent service. They were very considerate of guests' feelings, especially on a rainy day. They showed me different room types and respected my preferences, recommending a quiet room based on my needs. When I left, they even helped me carry my belongings to my car. Overall, it was a great stay. I really loved the room's design – very therapeutic, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. I also particularly liked the screen window design.

Overall, a 7/10. If you're vacationing on Dapeng Peninsula, The Hidden Resort (Shanya Bishu) is still the best option right now. However, there are a few minor downsides: The room was a partial sea view room, which didn't match the official photos. The official pictures show the end unit, which is actually sold as a mountain view room. A heads-up: the balcony railing didn't seem to be glass, but rather acrylic, and it wasn't securely fixed on both sides. You could wobble it easily with two fingers. It would be quite dangerous to lean or rest on it. I recommend the resort checks and replaces it. The privacy of some of the adjacent units is quite poor; you can see into each other's balconies and side windows. The soundproofing in the rooms isn't great either; you can hear loud conversations from neighboring rooms. The bathroom design has a flaw: the floor isn't sloped or recessed, so shower water spills out of the bathroom door. They provided a new Dyson hairdryer, but did they consider the new Dyson plug? The outlet is positioned too low, and the plug is too big to insert directly. If you try to plug it in upside down, it won't stay put and will fall out. I suggest the relevant person in charge tries it out themselves.

First Impressions and Facilities: 2/5 Advertised as a newly opened hotel, but by late 2025, it didn’t feel fresh or modern at all. The lobby is unusually located on the 7th floor, accessed via an elevator that’s just beside a larger neighboring hotel. The lift area felt dim and outdated compared to the brighter, more upscale vibe of the bigger property nearby. The lobby itself is compact, dimly lit, and lacks any welcoming or luxurious atmosphere—more functional than inviting. Room: 4/5 The room size was surprisingly generous for the price point in Shenzhen, where space often comes at a premium. It was very clean overall, with a large, comfortable bed topped with four plush pillows, perfect for a good night’s sleep. The big flat-screen TV was a nice touch, and the bathroom was decently sized with a good shower and separate toilet area. No complaints on comfort here. Service and Issues: 3/5 The major downside was a frustrating check-in experience. Using the hotel’s systems, the receptionist assigned me to a room that hadn’t been cleaned yet, it still reeked strongly of cigarette smoke and clearly wasn’t ready. I had to trek back down to the lobby (7th floor elevator and all) to get a new key and room assignment. This kind of mix-up feels avoidable and soured the arrival. Final Thoughts Nothing particularly stands out or excels at Future Hotel Shenzhen—it’s serviceable and clean in the rooms, with a solid location and value for money, but the dark, dated common areas, misleading “newly opened” vibe, and the room assignment error make it underwhelming. I wouldn’t skip Shenzhen altogether, but I’d definitely choose a different hotel next time I’m in the city. Suitable if you’re on a tight budget and prioritize location over polish.

This beautiful hotel is right next to Akanantara Resort. The room was clean and spacious, and it even had a sea-view balcony with a bathtub! The surrounding scenery was truly stunning, and we appreciated the complimentary drinks and fruit. It's a shame the weather wasn't good enough to catch a gorgeous sunset 🌅. We'll definitely come back with family next time.

This city hotel, with its views of the Shenzhen skyline from every angle, is my top pick for city views. The location, hotel amenities, surrounding facilities, and guest services are all exceptional. Many online reviews mention that the hotel is a bit old and the facilities are dated, but after staying there, I disagree. When the hotel first opened, it was very well-equipped, from the bathrooms to the decor, and even had iPads, which are usually only found at The Peninsula, making it quite convenient. If you're concerned about outdated hardware, you can opt for a suite or higher-category room, as it seems these have all been updated. I have two particularly strong impressions: 1) Due to a minor operational error by the hotel, I contacted the platform, and they connected me with the duty manager. The duty manager on the day of my check-in was very friendly, highly professional, and also quite personable and sincere. This was one of the best duty managers I've encountered at a St. Regis property. 2) When checking out, I left my luggage in the room, intending to have the concierge store it. However, after exchanging currency, I found it inconvenient to carry the cash and wanted to retrieve my wallet from my bag. The two concierges on the 1st floor responded quickly and were very professional. 3) When leaving the hotel and hailing a taxi, the driver didn't stop right at the entrance. Seriously unearthed a hidden gem! The environment is incredibly healing; opening the window reveals stunning views of green mountains and trees. The air is fresh, it's wonderfully quiet, and it's so relaxing to be away from the city hustle. The room was clean and tidy, decorated warmly and elegantly, and the bedding was super comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The host was very warm, easygoing, and provided thoughtful, meticulous service with great attention to detail. The surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking, perfect for photos. Dining and staying here were both very pleasant, and it offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely come back for my next vacation and highly recommend it to everyone!

This was a perfect hotel for us to land after a long international flight with young kids; huge hotel and compound which likely had its prime when it was first built 20 years ago; it needs a lot of maintenance and upkeep but the standout of it was its nature park access which is a must with young kids; so beautiful and lots of fun. It would be so nice if it became more popular again so they can restore the place to its former glory. Workers were really warm and friendly; breakfast was a nice touch.

The location of the hotel is just perfect! 2 minutes of a walking distance to the Sea World. The room was clean. And the laundry service was available as well. Personally, I used the iron and the ironing board. But there were some disappointing facts about the shower cabin. The water pours and leaks out of the cabin which makes the floor so wet, so no towels can help, and I had to collect it with my slippers apparently. And there was shampoo in the shampoo and conditioner containers both which means I just washed my head twice. I’d recommend the hotel stuff mind these details. But, nevertheless, thanks my stay there!

This hotel, designed in a classic Hakka architectural style, is perfectly situated in the heart of the ancient town, near Phoenix Valley. It offers a tranquil escape while still being incredibly convenient. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, which was very spacious and featured a huge balcony overlooking the charming town. The room also came with a private large hot spring bath and a steam room – truly a treat after exploring the town. Soaking in the hot springs and enjoying a sauna after a day of sightseeing was incredibly relaxing. The hotel service was also top-notch, very warm and welcoming. They even gave us a thoughtful souvenir upon check-out.
