Hotels in Zhongshan Park Commercial Area, Shanghai

I stayed here during the National Day holiday, and the overall experience was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near Jiangsu Road subway station, making it easy to get around to places like Zhongshan Park and Jing'an Temple. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding felt new and had no strange odors, and the bathroom was well-maintained. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and patiently answered all my questions about tourist routes. The hotel environment was quiet, so I wasn't disturbed by street noise. There's a convenience store and restaurants downstairs, which was very handy for meals. Facilities like hot water and internet worked perfectly. To maintain such quality even during a busy holiday period with high demand for rooms, the value for money is really high. It's definitely a worthwhile choice for anyone visiting Shanghai.

Overall, I liked the hotel. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. The views from the windows were amazing (photos attached). The room has a kettle, fridge, ironing board and iron, umbrella, and safe. There's plenty of storage space. We were able to check in before 2 PM without any issues. On the downside, the furniture is really worn out, it was dusty, the mattresses were strange, and the pillows weren't great. There were four of us, but only three towels provided. Tip: Don't try to find the entrance through the shopping mall right away. Exit subway Green Line #2 at Exit #5, turn left, and walk around the exit. You'll see the entrance to the high-rise building (literally 50 steps away). At the entrance, there are elevators to the 25th floor, where the reception is. From reception, other elevators take you to the residential floors. Once you're familiar, you can use the mall entrance/exit if needed.

I booked this small hotel at the last minute for a business trip to Shanghai, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The overall environment is very clean, and the hallways are quiet, not noisy at all. The room is spacious enough, very comfortable for one person, and not cramped for two, with a very sensible layout. The furniture and appliances are all in good condition, the TV is large and clear, and the WiFi speed is stable, making it smooth for working or binge-watching shows in the room without any lag. The bathroom also has a separate wet and dry area, hot water is available instantly, and the temperature doesn't fluctuate. The cleaning staff are exceptionally thorough; they clean daily, change towels, and replenish toiletries – they really pay attention to the details. The front desk staff's service is also impeccable; they are friendly, patient, and not pushy at all, with no upselling. Plus, the price is really reasonable, I genuinely feel it's great value! The lady at the front desk was especially thoughtful and helpful, assisting me with a toilet issue, turning on the AC, lending me a charger, and getting my key card – her service was absolutely spot on!

Good location next to Metro and huge Global Harbour shopping mall. Hotel is well-kept per expected Mercure standard, large in-room TV screen with lots of viewing channels. Excellent breakfast with many hot food choices. The housekeeping auntie (I think her name is 圣大姐) is very friendly and helpful, did our laundry (plus drying and folding) within a short few hours, so efficient, all complementary, very useful! The front office personnel are also very helpful! Will be back again next time we visit Shanghai.

The place is close to Metrobank International Plaza where I have a business to attend to. It is also surrounded with banks, restaurants, convenient stores and fruit shops. Subway stations are a bit far but I don't mind as it just took me 10-20 minutes. Bed is comfy and I slept really well. But I suggest they should check their pipes coz I heard weird sounds from there.

1. Compared to other cities, the room rates are a bit high, but considering Shanghai's prices, it's acceptable. 2. The air conditioning worked well, which is what I care about most. My room was on the side facing the overpass, but I was so tired during the day that I just crashed at night and left early in the morning, so I didn't find it too noisy. 3. Walking towards Zhongshan Park Metro Station, you'll pass a few small eateries, and there are plenty of dining options near the station. On a hot day, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk from the hotel to the metro station. Overall, it's a decent option in Shanghai.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower had great water pressure, and the hotel even offered free laundry service. There's a subway station nearby, as well as restaurants and fruit shops, making it very convenient for getting around.

Extremely satisfied! The room was clean and new, and the toiletries provided were excellent. They even had Little Prince-themed toothbrushes and toothpaste for the kids, which my child absolutely loved. The staff I encountered in the morning were also very friendly and greeted me warmly. The hotel's location is fantastic; it's right outside Exit 8 of Zhongshan Park Station on Line 2/8. It's also very close to Yuyuan Road, just across the street. There are tons of delicious takeaway options available nearby, and plenty of dining choices downstairs. We were going to Legoland the next day and didn't want to bring our big suitcases, so it was very convenient to store them and pick them up the following day. All in all, I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.
