What a gem of a hotel I stumbled upon in Shanghai! It's not far from Jiangsu Road subway station, making transportation incredibly convenient. Getting around to all the attractions by subway was a breeze. The room was meticulously clean and had no strange odors. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too hard – and I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The hotel itself is quiet and comfortable, providing an excellent environment for rest. The front desk service was attentive and efficient, making the entire check-in process smooth. The surrounding neighborhood has a fantastic vibe, with Yuyuan Road nearby, perfect for exploring unique shops when you have some free time. Dining and shopping are also super convenient with all the amenities close by. Overall, it's great value for money and my top choice for travel. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

I finally chose Weiting Hotel because their negative reviews were tolerable. It turned out to be much better than what the negative reviews suggested. The hotel's decor is simple and modern, the environment is clean, and the service is excellent. It's much better than chain hotels like Home Inn or Hanting. It's perfectly adequate for a business trip. This is an honest review, for reference only.

You can also take a stroll along the Suzhou River. Check-in, check-out, and luggage storage were all very efficient.

However, there were two issues: first, the windowsill was leaking a bit, and there was a musty smell when entering the room, which felt a bit below a 5-star hotel standard. Second, the shower pressure was too low, making it inconvenient for showering, especially in the middle of summer. Service: A positive point was that we arrived at the hotel at 11 AM to check in, and they proactively contacted us at 12 PM to let us know a room was available. The downside was that for breakfast on August 3rd, I clearly purchased two portions, but the front desk on the 26th floor only said I bought one when swiping the card, and they even followed us into the restaurant to stop us. This definitely detracted from the experience. In summary, I'm deducting half a star for service and ambiance, and one star for facilities.
