I had a very early flight out of Pudong Airport, so I booked this hotel last minute for an overnight layover. I was only expecting a basic stay, but it turned out to be a really good experience. The front desk staff were very friendly and communicated smoothly. When I needed to adjust my pickup time last minute, they quickly arranged everything for me and even thoughtfully told me where to wait for the shuttle. The airport shuttle runs hourly, so I didn't have to worry about finding a taxi back and forth, which saved a lot of hassle for a transit traveler like myself. The room looked pretty much like the photos online, with all the basic amenities provided. The bed was clean and tidy, making for a reassuring stay. There's a small supermarket right next to the hotel, and vending machines in the lobby, so it was convenient to grab water and snacks even late at night. The overall environment was quiet, and I slept well. The price was also very reasonable, perfect for an overnight stay before a flight. I'll definitely consider this hotel first next time I have a layover in Pudong, and I'd recommend it to anyone catching an early morning flight.

This hotel is perfectly functional and the price was reasonable, so I can’t complain too much. However, the rooms are incredibly small and tight, and the entire property feels like it could use a significant renewal to feel fresh again. That said, the most remarkable thing about this place is its location—it’s crammed together with the metro, the Maglev, and a massive shopping mall, all squeezed into one multifunctional super-building. I’ve never seen anything like this in any other city; the sheer convenience of having everything stacked together is an experience in itself.

I liked how bright the lobby was, and the flower arrangement in the lobby was really pretty. However, the room couldn't be deadbolted from the inside, and the room size was quite small. The hotel is located on a side street. On the upside, it's very close and convenient to Shanghai Station. Also, there's no elevator, so you have to walk up.

After a tiring day of travel, I instantly felt relaxed upon returning to the hotel. The room was meticulously cleaned, with no unpleasant odors, and very spacious. The mattress was just right—not too soft, not too hard—and I slept soundly until morning. Check-in at the front desk was efficient, and any requests were promptly handled. The surrounding area offers convenient transportation and plenty of dining and shopping options. It's rare to find such a comfortable place to stay during a trip; highly recommended!

I enjoyed my stay there, it's quite in the countryside but we are 10 mins away by bike from a metro station line 11 or 35 min from line 13 by bike or you can take the bus and it is 20 min. The room is quite small but new and cosy the bed is also comfortable I loved it. There is a Cotti Coffee, a Luckin Coffee an Aunty Jenny and a family mart nearby. Although it is in the countryside I really like the location. Also the receptionists of the hotel was sooo nice and helped us with our luggage. The hotel is really convenient because the hotel lobby is shared with a convenience store which is really convenient I think it's a 25/7 convenience store. I recommend!

Pudding Hotel provides a place to stay. Don't have too many expectations in Shanghai. Choose an affordable place to stay. You can still try it, but it's located at the back and you need to find it.

I came here for a summer trip, and the transportation is really convenient. The subway is right across the street, and there are many great food options nearby. I asked the young lady at the front desk about fun places to visit, and she was very patient and helpful with her recommendations. I had a wonderful experience and will definitely choose this hotel again next time.
