CHINnnnnAn absolutely secluded retreat:
True to its name, Jiushan is a top choice for escaping the world. When they picked me up to go up the mountain, we turned off the national road onto a very small and narrow path. The owner explained that he had to get permission from every villager along the way to build it, and it immediately felt very hidden and mysterious, yet also strangely welcoming.
While not completely surrounded by the nine sacred mountains of Jiuzhaigou, the guesthouse lobby and rooms offer an uninterrupted view of continuous mountain ranges right in front. The scenery changes rapidly with the weather, and simply sitting, lying, or standing and daydreaming, you feel healed by the view. It really is worth staying on the mountain; the scenery is a natural gift that hotels downhill just can't compare to.
When I contacted them in advance, they mentioned upgrading me to a room with floor-to-ceiling windows. It was raining when I arrived, and I ended up in a room called 'Rain' – everything felt perfectly serendipitous. The owner told me that the misty mountain view I saw that day was even rarer than the 'golden mountains in the sun.' I went downstairs and sat under a tent for a while, quietly listening to the rain and bird songs, taking deep breaths of fresh air – it felt like a full body cleanse. Sure enough, the next day, after clear skies, the scenery was completely different, offering an experience of peaceful reading in the sunlight.
On the first evening, I only intended to heat up some beef baked buns I'd bought downhill, but I was drawn to the bonfire that had been set up and ended up sitting there for ages. I didn't have my phone, just watched the crackling fire, zoned out, chatted, and even cadged a few beers.
After checking in, I completely forgot about my plans to go down the mountain to other scenic spots. I've often thought that for city dwellers, travel is a process of returning to oneself. We're bombarded with enough information usually, so being able to be alone in an undisturbed place, even just to daydream, is the best possible experience.

The most delightful surprise of our entire trip was staying at Qinghe Heyuan. The environment is tranquil and far from the hustle and bustle, with a wonderful courtyard ambiance. The room facilities are comprehensive and spotless, and the private hot spring experience was incredibly relaxing. The staff are gentle and friendly, always quick to assist with any needs. The location is convenient, making it easy to get to and from the scenic area without worrying about taxis. It offers excellent value for money and is a top choice for accommodation when visiting Jiuzhaigou.

qndhrThis guesthouse is an absolute gem! I spent ages looking for a place to stay with my parents in Jiuzhaigou, and I'm so glad I chose this one. It completely exceeded my expectations! The service was outstanding, and the value for money was incredible. The rooms were even better than pictured, and the environment was fantastic. Plus, it's super convenient, right across from 'The Romance of the Song Dynasty,' with tons of dining, entertainment, and shopping nearby. It's also pet-friendly!! If you have a pet, don't even think twice, just book it! (The husky, Hanhan, was so well-behaved, mooching food, drinks, and AC in my room – so adorable I almost wanted to take him home!) I'm definitely coming back in the autumn!!! I've already recommended it to all my friends; seriously, just go for it! (My mom specifically told me to leave a review because it was so, so good!!!)

Guest UserJiuzhaigou scenic area shuttle service (no limit on number of people): The shuttle service to the scenic area is excellent. After breakfast, you can head straight there.
Worried-free arrival - Free exclusive shuttle service from Huanglong Jiuzhai Station to the hotel (shared ride): There's also a shuttle from the high-speed train station. This time we took a nine-seater 'nanny van' (business van). Overall, a good experience.
The hotel's restaurant is also very good.

They even gave us two blind box figurines when we checked in, which was a nice surprise. We used the provided meal voucher for a delicious dinner at the hotel's second-floor restaurant.
The stay itself was pretty standard, not much different from other hotels. Laundry is self-service and free, but there are only three washing machines, so you need to go early to queue up. The room has oxygen supply, but I still didn't sleep that well, maybe due to some altitude sickness. It could also be because the air conditioning is on automatic constant temperature, and it felt a bit stuffy. I asked the reception if they had a fan, but they didn't. I'm used to having air circulation to sleep, so I ended up having trouble sleeping both nights. Despite that, the overall experience was still good 👍

Guest UserUnfamiliar with Jiuzhai and not wanting to stay at the gully entrance, I opted for an established hotel.
The environment and facilities were perfect, just as expected. After two tiring days of travel, I had a wonderful night's sleep. The hotel was very quiet. The highlight was waking up in the morning, opening the curtains, and seeing the snow-capped mountains right outside the window – a moment of pure tranquility. It's also conveniently located near major attractions.
Around the hotel, there are art galleries, museums, and a very professional coffee shop. While out for a stroll in the evening, I stumbled upon a beautiful lantern festival exhibition.
The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and recommended many travel tips and must-see attractions in Jiuzhaigou.
If you're driving, you can head towards Shenxianchi. The mountain road along the way is very enjoyable, transforming from viewing snow-capped mountains from afar to actually being among them. It's a completely different experience away from the crowds.

Guest UserWe had an excellent stay at this cozy, family-owned bed and breakfast. Everyone was so friendly. They gave us rides to the national park and other places. The yak hot pot was spectacular as was their Sichuan-style sausage, and the daily Chinese breakfast buffet. The beds were extremely comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Guest UserThe Vienna International Hotel is super close to the scenic spots, which is incredibly convenient. Whether you're heading to the attractions or the Songcheng Romance Park, it's a breeze. It's also very quiet at night, so you get a good rest. The front desk staff are incredibly helpful and friendly; they can even arrange transportation for you and you can buy discounted tickets for the Songcheng Romance Park there. If you're planning a trip here, I definitely recommend staying at the Vienna International Hotel – it's excellent!

Guest UserThis hotel, about a 10-minute drive from the scenic area, is very new and offers excellent service. They have a 7-seater car to take you to the attractions and can also pick you up from nearby restaurants to bring you back to the hotel. Even though it's located up a small road on a hill, the shuttle service makes it very convenient. The staff are incredibly attentive. It turns out there's also a great local restaurant not far from the hotel that serves delicious food.

Anonymous UserVery nice place for a stay to visit the Jiuzhaigou scenic area. Breakfast is good, only personal shoyld refill more often, people coming later withing the morning hours get much less options. Free laundry was a very good offer.
