"The facilities were good, staff were generally helpful and nice. Very clean environment; generally has what you need. Very conveniently located. Some of the staff at the front desk are a bit too immature and could act a bit more professional. Apparently, they find it funny for you ask them for water; ask them a few more times and they would giggle and laugh behind your back and make fun of you; they might even horse around with you if Mandarin is not your first language and you don't speak as natively as they do. I made an add on booking for an extra night. If you need them to do anything towards the end of your stay, they might withhold service at the front desk until you give them a perfect rating; they wouldn't check me back in the hotel until I left a good rating/comment for my first booking. They forgot I that I could also rate / comment for my second booking. Basically a bunch of kids. Otherwise, hotel management seems fine. Pretty clean, the staff were generally polite."

"When we arrived at the hotel my friend was sick AF and was throwing up every 5minutes. Thankfully the room was huge (not like other hotels in china, and to be honest is big even for european standards) so i could enjoy some time in the room by watching drag race global (#teamnehellenia) on the sofa, by watching the view from the window and by taking long walks in the room all of this while he was vomiting in the bathroom. The location is great is just 20min by didi from the airport and 20min from xi'an north railway station by subway (just one stop). Next to the hotel there are a lot of restaurants and places to eat in general. The only downside was that the hotel only had 2 washing machines (very weird since ibis hotel in jiayuguan has several and it is way smaller) and they do greenwashing!!! (the trashcan should is separated for recycling waste and non recycling waste but if you look more closely you realize that inside there's only one bag for the trash. And please please please make sure to visti hua shan mountain it's beautifull up there e soprattutto è pieno di fregni rari con le tette e braccia enormi e bara! BEST HOTEL IN CHINA HANDS DOWN"

"I came to Xi'an and stayed at Wall Inn Chang'an near the city wall again. It felt like home. The housekeeper was as enthusiastic as ever. The bed and pillows in the B&B were so so so comfortable. It is so important to have a good night's sleep. I really want to ask if I can buy the same ones. It was Valentine's Day and when I returned to the room at night, I saw the roses and Ferrero Rocher chocolates carefully prepared by the housekeeper. It was so sweet! All toiletries are Jo Loves by Jo Malone. The digital shower system has a lot of water and displays the bath water temperature in real time. You can adjust it to your favorite temperature every time without having to try hot and cold. The location is inside the north gate of the city wall and it is very convenient to take a taxi anywhere. Anyway, I will live here permanently when I come to Xi'an in the future!"

"We were surprised by the environment and facilities. A few days ago, I stepped on a pit and a homestay with more than 1,000 without TVs. It really feels refreshed to come here. Whether it is decoration, furniture or door details, I am very careful. The toiletries are Ole b's room and Marshall speakers, which is really full of taste. There is a big dog called Denmark in the store, and the daughter is reluctant to go with the dog the next day. Breakfast is finally not a farm meal, it is a Western light meal and milk, I like it very much! We will definitely come again. Whether it is a weekend empty or winter snow, it will be very pleasant!"

The room is large and clean, and came with really cute snacks and fruits. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety. The mini noodle soup at the breakfast buffet was top tier!
This hotel went a long way in making my trip at Xi’an so memorable. And will 100% rebook during my next trip to Xi’an
Totally random- there is this ahhhhmazing burger truck across from the hotel. Super clean and delicious. Great for a dinner part 2, which we had every single night while we were there!

TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!)
The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all.
A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome.
I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone.
After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out.
I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.

TTerissaFirstly, big thank you to the warm hotel staff for making our our visit to Xi'an a memorable one. Service is top-notch! We checked in past midnight and was greeted by Mr Lee (very warm n friendly man). He took us to our room and gave us a tour. Upon check out, he was v kind to assist us to look for our transport, which happened to be parked across the road.
We were moved to the garden view room after informing the staff that our original room was a tad too stuffy. The staff assisted in transferring everything while we were away exploring the city. Superb service recovery!
Hotel room is very comfortable, clean and located just minutes away from 大唐不夜城。

Hotel also has 2 washer and dryer for free usage which is great for families. Hotel breakfast is nice with local specialities like 肉夹馍. AAnonymous UserCheck in took way too long and front desk staff seemed unsure about the process. Nonetheless, was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade. Room was well kept and included multi plug sockets and bottled water. Shower area was well designed with a non-slip centre section and the bathtub was a nice addition. However, there was some leakage of water to the toilet section so some maintenance is needed there. Room could be improved with the inclusion of a simple card detailing the hotel’s facilities, operating hours and additional services that could be requested for, such as firmer pillows - which were actually available. Breakfast was not overly costly and spread was decent. Hotel has a decent length pool but that was rather crowded, and hot tub was not hot enough. Steam room and spa were also closed during the time there with no mention of when they would reopen. Hotel is well located with shopping malls and subway station under 10 minutes walk away.

The toilet is seperated from the bathroom..so, u can do ur 'business' when somebody else is having a shower. The aircond is also adjustable which makes the temperature in the room very cosy. Bonus - the location of the hotel is very near to the Muslim Food Street and the Great Xian Mosque...so u don't need to get a taxi/e-hailing to go there. It's just 5 minute walk, and u are already there.

HHay AswadVery friendly and helpful receptionist. The location is perfect to good halal street foods and Muslim Quarters, also the Xi’an drum and city wall. Lots of good shops around. The hotel room can be controlled with voice command advantage if you speak Chinese but you can also use manually. They give you two juice packets and two water bottles every day along with green tea packets. It’s a really nice hotel!
