Bed was comfy! Location is perfect, no lack of food options, near grand place and tourist spots. There’s even a kitchen in the room!
Breakfast is not fantastic but decent.
No bedroom slippers, no room cleaning.
Booked double bed but hotel said they couldn’t see the option in the booking and had given me a twin (fully booked when I’m there so can’t change too). So trip.com compensated me through coins.

Air cond in the lobby was a relief in the summer time. Air cond room is a must during summer. Room is clean just unsure if its a norm that the housekeeper would not clean used mugs provided in the room though staying for few days. Breakfast was good. But during our stay, got one morning brekfast time was cut by an hour due to water system maintenance. Some guests didnt get to eat breakfast.
Location is 10m walk from Midi SNCB station. Massive construction work at entrance, so get a room facing courtyard is advisable.
Room is fine for 1-2nts, the neighbourhood is mainly occupied by African, Middle Easterners & East Asian. Many grocery shops, buying fruits & daily essentials are cheap, for meals it’s better to eat in the station
Did not consume the hotel breakfast. Lift& corridoris extremely claustrophobic, the space of 1pax
Overall I was very satisfied!
First of all, the room was very clean, and the toilet and shower booth were also clean.
The amenities were sufficient for one night, but those staying multiple nights may find some things lacking.
There is no mini-fridge in the room. Also no toothbrushes or glass cups.
However, there were four free bottles of water, a Nespresso machine, tea bags, and the hotel's paper cups.
It was conveniently located within walking distance of Minami Station and close to the main tourist attractions.
Frankly, I want to give this hotel full marks for its clean and nice environment, free coffee and water at the pantry island next to the reception, and friendly, cheerful and helpful receptionists, just my local friend there said the location does not seem very safe at night. Indeed it’s quite quiet at night. So have a weary eye when you walk back to the hotel.
If you are considering a hotel near the Midi Station, I will still recommend this hotel. It is just 5 mins away! No need to worry about the noise from the trains, you hear nothing inside the hotel and room!
The hotel is more than 400 meters away from Brussels South Train Station. It is located in a residential area. The surrounding environment is relatively busy, but it is very convenient to the train station. The room is large and the furniture configurations are quite new. The hotel staff is warm, proactive and thoughtful. I will return to Brussels on my return trip. It is a hotel worth staying in again.

The room is in the city center, the location is very good, it is very convenient to travel, no matter it is very convenient to go to the Central Railway Station or the South Railway Station, the price is very cost-effective, it is recommended, and will stay again next time
Convenient location near the station.
Check in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Highlight was the bar serving a decent selection of Belgian beers at a pretty reasonable price given it being a hotel bar.

GGuest Usergood location and good service; It’s convenient for travellers that the hotel provide free luggage storage. The room is clean and well furnished.
GGuest UserI booked this hotel at the last minute for a short trip to Brussels for an event.I arrived at night time so it took a while to get my bearings from De Bruckere metro station. I arrived tired and hungry so once I checked in,I got a quick shower to freshen up. Booked a single room (bed was slightly bigger than a single). Okay size for the time I was there. It had a patio door so could go outside if you smoke. Bathroom small but for what I needed perfect. There was even a hairdryer which was needed as my trousers had been washed before ai left home and were a bit damp and also for drying hair on the Sunday morning. A safe was in the room and a colour TV with a desk and chair. Foodwise, the information in the hotel booklet in the room needs to be updated as it stated breakfast was on the 7th floor. It wasn't it was on the ground floor then you had to go down a couple of lots of stairs so bear this in mind if wanting to eat breakfast in the hotel especially if disabled or you have mobility issues.Breakfast was scrambled egg, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans if you wanted a hot option. There was also a waffle machine, toast, cereals, yogurt, fruit and pastries with water, fruit juice and two hot drinks makers for tea, coggee and hot chocolate. Food was ok for setting me up for the rest of the day. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby selling a variety of different cuisines however the friterie a few doors up seemed to always be busy. Location wise about 6 minutes walk to the Grand Place and about 8-10 minutes to the Mannequin Pis. In the other direction about the same to the Place de Monnaie which has lots of shops like Uniqlo,Foot Locket,Primark,Decathlon etc. There is a Dunkin Donuts however there is only seating on the upstairs level and there is no lift. Found using the Beurs metro either no 4 or 10 useful for if getting the Eurostar from Brussels. Staff helpful as was able to leave my bags in the left luggage room whilst sightseeing on last day and helped with directions to get to South-Midi station. Only complaints if you can call them that are, lack of kettle in room for making a tea or coffee (much needed after a long journey),decoration in room needs a refresh as paint work chipped and looks like it has seen better days same with corridors away from hotel lobby.
GGuest UserPlus:
The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s.
There is heating both in the room and in the shower
There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works)
This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station
Minus
The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s.
There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers.
The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt.
Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still.
The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes.
The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry.
The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully.
The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to.
I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep.
I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house.
The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button .
I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.
JJoelIf you're looking for a no-frills, budget-friendly stay in Brussels, Hotel Siru is your go-to! Nestled right next to the Rogier subway station, the location is a dream for both avid explorers and lazy travelers alike. Seriously, if it were any closer to the subway, it would be on the tracks!
The rooms are clean and cozy, nothing fancy, but hey, who needs a chandelier when you're just there to crash after a day of waffles and chocolate? The service? Top-notch. The staff are so attentive and friendly, you'd think they mistook you for royalty. They even helped us with directions, dining recommendations, and were quick with extra towels—no need to resort to using the hand towels like makeshift bath sheets.
Now, Brussels has a bit of a reputation for being... let's say, 'adventurous.' But don't fret! Despite the city's somewhat sketchy safety stats, we managed to dodge danger like pros. We weren't mugged or robbed—hooray for small victories! We did have a close encounter with a pickpocket, though. Some overly enthusiastic Maghrebi immigrant tried their luck on our first day, but they must have been new at the game. We walked away with all our belongings intact and a story to tell.
In conclusion, Hotel Siru is your knight in slightly faded armor, offering a safe, clean, and friendly haven amidst the bustling streets of Brussels. Book your stay, and may your pockets remain as full as your stomach after sampling Brussels' finest treats!
GGuest UserWe stayed in an apartment for 4 people for 2 days. The room is not big but functional for 4 people. We didn’t use small kitchen area as there wasn’t enough space if we opened the sofa bed. Overall the room is clean, but a bit old for the furnitures and facilities. The toilet is a bit small too. But it’s in a good location, walkable distance to everywhere e.g. just 12min walk to the Grand-Place.
GGuest UserThe staffs are friendly for non-native French speakers. There is also clean in-room kitchenware available. However, you’ll need to pull the door heavily to make sure the automatic lock works.
GGuest UserThe room is not big, but it is enough for traveling alone. The hygiene is very good. There is a water bar on the basement floor where you can get hot water. If you need anything, you can go to the staff room on the first floor to ask for help. For example, I asked the staff to help me open a beer. Haha. By the way, you can go to the nearby Carrefour to buy beer. The berry beer is really delicious and not too strong.
CChristopherConvenient location near the station.
