Exceeded all expectations! I thought a hotel in an old building would be run-down, but the room was beautifully renovated. It was small but had everything you needed and was very comfortable. The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful. She let us check in early as soon as a room was available, and answered all our questions throughout our stay. The breakfast room offers stunning views of Florence, with the cathedral dome and swifts that have migrated back from Africa after winter flying by the window.

I stayed with my aunt and my friend for 2 nights recently; we had 3 beds in the same room, 1 single and 1 double. The hotel had basic amenities - private bathroom which was a little small for me and a TV in the room. We didn't notice a kettle in the room but to be honest, we weren't really bothered since we had paid for the hotel breakfast. The breakfast had small selection of hot food: eggs and sausages were really good. The coffee machine wasn't working properly but the staff did everything they could to provide espressos for the guests. Speaking of the staff, they were so kind and amazing, The 1st staff we saw was kind enough to mark the local/popular attractions on the map and give us some guidance on what to do and where to go. They also gave us this incentive where we all got free breakfasts for the 2nd day after signing up to the hotel account (or something like that). The only major con about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator and it was noisy all morning and late at night so please if you can, ask for a faraway room!

The most beautiful, quiet peaceful place, breakfast buffet was great, the views are breathtaking, staff goes over and beyond, thank you Andrea, other guest friendly, everyone happy. Loved it want to return for a longer stay. Pool nice also

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and overall it was a great experience. One of the best things about it was the location. Everything I needed was close by, and the area felt lively and accessible, which made the trip much more enjoyable. Another thing that stood out was the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was very clean when I arrived, and it was clear that the hotel takes good care of its facilities. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the common areas were also well maintained. A clean and tidy environment always makes a big difference, and it definitely helped me feel comfortable and relaxed during my stay. The staff were also one of the highlights. Everyone I spoke to was polite, friendly, and very helpful. They were happy to answer questions, offer assistance, and make sure guests felt welcome. Their positive attitude created a warm atmosphere and added a personal touch to the whole experience. It is always nice to stay somewhere that values good service, and the staff here really helped make the visit smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the local recommendations provided by the staff. They suggested nearby restaurants, cafés, and places to visit, which helped me experience more of the area beyond the usual tourist spots. Their advice was useful and showed that they genuinely wanted guests to have a good time, not just at the hotel but in the surrounding neighborhood as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. With its excellent location, high standards of cleanliness, and kind, helpful staff, it offers a very positive experience. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

A magical stay in the heart of San Gimignano I cannot believe we actually stayed inside the historic town of Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi. It truly felt like stepping back in time. We booked this place in a rush and honestly didn’t read much about it beforehand. When we arrived in San Gimignano, we were completely stunned by the beauty of the stone buildings and cobbled streets. The entire area feels like a medieval movie scene. Check-in was officially until 8 pm, but we arrived around 8:30 pm. The owner was incredibly kind and waited for us patiently. She also explained very clearly where we could park the car, which is extremely helpful because driving and parking in historic towns can be tricky. The whole property is simply gorgeous. The courtyard is beautiful and full of character. Even though our unit was in the attic and required climbing some stairs, it was absolutely part of the charm and experience. There is no lift, but for us it was completely fine. The decoration throughout the property makes you feel like you are truly living inside history. Every corner reflects the heritage of this place. The location is fantastic — you can simply walk to the famous squares and restaurants of San Gimignano. It’s also only about 8 minutes away from the world-famous gelato shop, Gelateria Dondoli, which was a highlight of our visit! What surprised us the most was the size of the apartment. For the price, it is incredible value. The space is huge and includes a kitchen and a lovely attic area. This was truly one of our best stays in Italy, and it made our experience in San Gimignano even more special. If you want to experience the magic of living inside a medieval town, this place is unforgettable.

The single room itself was very spacious. There is plenty of floor space in both the bedrooms and bathrooms. The bed was average, but acceptable. The wireless internet is fast and good, and the TV is big enough. The staff are cool but efficient.

I stayed at two hotels in Florence, and this one was a standard, convenient hotel. However, the room was too small, and the breakfast was very mediocre. I'd recommend the other guesthouse more, comparatively. Both are within a five-minute walk from the train station. The pros are the excellent location, right next to a small square opposite the train station, so I never felt unsafe coming back late. It's also very close to all the attractions; just turn right out of the door and walk down the alley to find the Central Market and the Duomo. There's even a Chinese restaurant and a bubble tea shop downstairs.

We had a very good stay, the room was spacious and very comfortable. The only thing is that it’s not specify on trip.com that the room in not directly a part of the hotel but a room in a building at 4 minutes. The address for the checking is Via delle Ruote, 52, 50129 Firenze FI, Italy (Hotel royal). We could still enjoy all the services as breakfast, pool and luggage storage. I recommend

The staff were really friendly and helpful! I met the lady with beautiful grey hair who takes care of breakfast and cleaning during my stay. The big problem is she doesn’t understand English, I handed my phone for her to speak via Google translate. She didn’t say anything! A second later she started talking in Italian again. This happened a few times in 3 minutes of facing her. She denied talking on Google translate. So I gave up and walked away…she said “respecta”, I assumed it means “respect”. I kept showing her Google translate in Italian that “whatever you wanna say, you say here since I don’t understand Italian”. The guests should be informed/reminded of “quiet hours”. BUT it gets pretty noisy from the guests… when someone opens the doors, everyone hears it. I could hear my neighbours chatting, sneezing, coughing, and all that. My room is facing the backyard, last night some guests living downstairs were enjoying the backyard at 11 pm. it was loud! Shower was another problem, water didn’t seem to go down the drain properly. The bed was two twins joined together without any proper topper. Thus, the twin beds were moving away from one another at night if you sleep in the middle. This part is common sense, either the hotel puts topper or the guest sleep on one side of the bed. The WiFi was reliable. Breakfast was pretty basic. Make sure to bring good-quality earplugs with you…

The room overall was very good. It's close to the train station, which makes getting around incredibly convenient. Florence's attractions are quite concentrated and most are within walking distance. The only downside of being so close to the station is that it can be a bit noisy at night. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful. A very gentlemanly staff member named Luca made a wonderful impression on me. I felt completely respected during my stay. When I needed to store my luggage, he even asked if I had any valuables and proactively offered to keep them safe for me. I'll always remember this kind gentleman; he truly brought a ray of sunshine to my trip. 😊😊
