Super clean room, pool, friendly staff and great service! Super attentive to our requests for help and always provides water at your door at the end of each day! Sadly there is a cat in the lobby so it’s very hard for my husband and I to eat in peace without it trying to eat our food too, otherwise the cat is harmless and adorable! Great experience. Super close to the Saturday night market too! Would book again if I come back to Chiang Mai! Pictures may look a bit messy cuz I forgot to take a picture before my stay 🥲🥲

At first this place seemed to be not nice but then I accepted some things and it turned to be fine. The stuff is really nice, location is good and beds are comfy. However the room was quite gloomy
Clean and decent for the price. Breakfast is just a wrap so don't expect too much from that. It was a tasty wrap to be fair, but I was expecting a buffet.
Clean, convenient, very good service, the staff is attentive and helpful, very safe, comfortable bed, clean, has personal lockers, uses modern IT system to help with check-in and various services in the hotel, has a small coffee shop, has communal tables and chairs for relaxing and doing activities, cheap price 👍👍👍

Polite and helpful staff, nice kitchen with free candies, super cute owl decor and very quiet. The beds are a bit hard but that’s probably healthier haha.
Nice and clean little hotel in town. Easy for commute to many places. Friendly staff and restful tiny garden in the open-air area. Safety for stay, key-card system is available. Got the right kind of room that I requested for. Soft bed, blanket and clean towels. Need a little bit improve of free-drinking water. Totally like this location near small market and 7/11.
The location suited me and the accommodation was tidy and clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful as well. The only negative thing to say is that some of the staff have the memory of a goldfish - they ask you if you want your room cleaned but do nothing about it.

Located in 5 mins walking distance from Tha Phae gate with some markets nearby.
The staff was accomodating and friendly.
The room was clean and tidy. There was an aircon inside. Capsule was well-organised with your own big locker (enough space for backpack 35-40L + 2 small carrybags). Bedsheets were clean as well. Mattress was soft and comfy. They also offer a normal blanket (not just the second linen) and towel. It was quiet in the room.
As for common bath and toilets (separate) it was 2 cabins of each on each floor for at least 3 rooms and it was also clean. But there was no any queue to access there. There was a hot water, shampoo/shower gel in baths and toilet paper in toilets as well.
Breakfast was good and rich: different kinds of cooked eggs (for choosing only 1 kind), tea/coffee, toasts with some butter, different toppings, vegetables as like cherry-tomatos, cucumber and carrot slices watermelon, corn flakes with milk also.
The internet connection was stable as well.

The space is open, the kitchen is spacious (with cooking utensils), and the refrigerator is large. There is also a laundry room.
The breakfast is plentiful, the beds are larger than other dormitories, and the showers have plenty of hot water.
The staff always cleaned the place well and it was comfortable.
It's easy to access, and the cafe next door is great.
I'll definitely come back.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The hotel on the main road Mahidol very convenient to go to downtown and many travel places in Chaing Mai.

Ssusan0922It is not very far from the ancient city of Chiang Mai and the airport, and there is a supermarket downstairs for shopping, which is very convenient! great service!

GGuest UserThis hotel has no stairs for anyone that has heavy luggage, but the staff will assist in carrying. The location is right next to Tha Phae Gate and in a very busy tourist area for those that are looking to eat and drink at restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, this is not the place since you can hear music and people late into the night. The room has basic amenities like shampoo and body soap, but nothing else. The AC works well and is cold . Overall it’s a decent stay if you’re on a budget and want to be in a busy area.
JJessie.lymingA place far far away from town and also Mon Jam. I was planning to stay 1 night in Mon Jam actually, however I didn’t noticed the homestay is another mountain from Mon Jam (called Pong Yaeng) which was Trip.com suggested to me when I search for hotels of Mon Jam.
I booked it for family trip, we called the Grab to send us to there so that we can check in and drop the bags first. I must to say, the way to get to the homestay was quite thrilling cause the last section of the way were rugged mountain road, luckily the driver was expertly to send us there safely.
After we settled down and want to go out to Mon Jam for sightseeing, there were no car to pick us up through Grab cause we were too far away from town. Although the host had help us to ask for the ride, there was no reply too. Even if yes, it cost around 400-500 THB which was very expensive tho. So we were stuck in the homestay to having the peace and silence. Luckily we can still order food from the host when we feeling hungry, having the meal with the mountain view and BBQ+hotpot for dinner were also some good experiences here.
Actually the place was quite good and the host was very nice, I’m sure there would be a good place to stay if you are not concerned about the location and looking for some peaceful stay. But I would strongly recommend you to rent a car, motorbike or even a driver, just in case you want to go somewhere else for sightseeing. Or you can go to play or sightseeing before going to the homestay, it’s all up to you😉
AAleksandrI stayed at the hotel for a long time and had a really pleasant experience. The location is beautiful—close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some rest. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated how calm the atmosphere was, even during busy days.
What stood out the most was the staff—they were always friendly, helpful, and made me feel at home. They went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The service was consistent and warm throughout my stay. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
LLogan SolamanI recently stayed at October Hostel located in the vibrant Nimman area of Chiang Mai, and I must say, my experience was exceptional!
Location: The hostel's location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Chiang Mai. Nestled in the bustling Nimman neighborhood, it offers easy access to the city center and is just a short drive from the airport, making it incredibly convenient for travelers.
Host and Service: Mark, the hostel owner, was incredibly hospitable. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel welcome and was eager to share his knowledge of the city. His insights and tips on where to go and what to do in Chiang Mai greatly enhanced my experience.
Accommodations: The rooms at October Hostel are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. While I stayed in a standard room this time, I was tempted by the option to upgrade to a much larger room. Given the quality of my stay, I am definitely considering this upgrade on my next visit!
Overall Experience: I highly recommend October Hostel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai. Whether you’re a solo traveler or coming with friends, the combination of a great location, warm hospitality, and excellent facilities make this hostel a top choice.
Tip for Future Guests: Don’t hesitate to ask Mark for local recommendations – he truly knows the best spots in town!
Looking forward to my next stay at October Hostel, and I can’t wait to try out the larger room!
RRAAAYnote that there are 2 Chaiyapol Homestays so it’s good to check with them prior.
i booked a Standard Room (B2) via trip.com and thought the location - as per the map - was a 10mins walk from Mae Kampong Village. lugged myself + heavy backpack up hills to find out when i reached that the homestay was located at the village itself (great location, walking distance to all the shops but wish i knew earlier!)
apart from that, had an absolutely lovely stay. the young staff spoke english and was really helpful and nice. room is nice and clean. snacks + drinks are available for purchase in the room but tip: bring your own mama noodles for mookata! they sell one set for 350 baht which i enjoyed eating outside at the balcony
staff also asked if i would like to join the sunrise at Kew Fin + Mae Kampong Waterfall for 100baht/person; pick up at 5.30am. glad i went! it was beautiful. it gets chilly on top so you can also take the white “bed runner” in the room as a scarf
breakfast is included and is at a separate restaurant, just a couple minutes walk from the accom, located at the cafe At-Mae-Kampong. it was a buffet spread with healthy options. absolutely loved the congee! it’s so good, must try
overall had a very pleasant experience. definitely recommend! homestay location is great and value for money. good for a 2d1n trip. i booked shared transport via klook from chiang mai
GGuest UserLoved my stay! Clean rooms, comfy bed, and friendly staff. Perfect location with great amenities. Breakfast was delicious. Only minor downside: [mention any issue, e.g., slow Wi-Fi]. Would definitely stay again!
