It is still worth to upgrade extra night to scenic room with much wider windows for viewing the historic Bell tower. Room are a little larger and different from the other room we had stayed. Everything are as from reviews. While planning to be in Xi' an, this Hotel is highly recommended Hotel for those seeking for comfortable, best location and value for money. Service was above and beyond. They walked us through the hotel explaining the areas, served us welcome (non-alcoholic) drinks, were very helpful when we needed them.
The included hanfu-style photoshoot was even better than we expected, with the photographer being very professional, and knowing how to position us and everything.
Overall I would definitely pick this hotel again next time we visit China and we go to Xi'an.

We loved our stay especially for the price. This place is what we call a hostelle. It has all the hostel vibes but is immaculate like a hotel. Room was clean and fresh towels every day. Free water throughout, good wifi, great shower and toiletries. Movies on the tv in English, social atmosphere and a great location. And an added bonus free access to laundry and dryer! Lots of local food just outside and a metro 5 min walk. Only down side for us was the mattress was to hard but that is personal preference.

Hotel Experience Sharing
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right in the city center with an abundance of restaurants and shopping options nearby. As soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted by an elegant decor and a welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff were friendly, and the check-in process was quick and professional.
The guest room was spacious and bright, with a comfortable bed and clean, neat bedding. The room was well-equipped with amenities including free Wi-Fi, a mini-bar, and an LCD TV. The bathroom was clean, the shower had good water pressure, and the toiletries were of high quality. Although the room's soundproofing was generally good, the traffic noise from outside the window was still a bit disturbing at night.
The hotel's dining service was equally satisfying. The breakfast offered a rich variety, from freshly baked pastries to authentic local delicacies, catering to all tastes. Furthermore, the gym and swimming pool facilities were well-maintained, providing additional convenience for guests.
Overall, this hotel offers a comfortable and convenient stay for travelers.

If you looking for a place to stay at East Gate, this is the place for you. It right smack in front of East Gate of Xi'an Wall and exactly in front of the metro station. The hotel itself is only 2 storey at 4th and 5th floor with the receptionist, dining room, washing machine and gym on the 4th floor. It's actually very big as I think it occupied almost whole 4th and 5th storey building. The bulding itself share with other commercial tenant. The room I got is on the 5th floor far away form the lift so it kind of bit hassle to walk down let say to wash your clothes.
The breakfast is exceptional. Not big variety type but enough to fill your stomach in the morning. I got myself room with a verandah with Xi'an Wall. Just a bit put off that the parapet wall/railing is kinda high up to your chest fully opaque so in case you want to see the view you need to stand up rather than sitting down. I will be better a glass type of parapet wall/railing so you can bask in the view.
My opinion if you want to get a room maybe 4th floor is good enough with facing the city wall. I don't think got anything different than 5fh wall only they have verandah.

This hotel was by far the highlight of our trip to Xi’an. The interior blends Tang-inspired aesthetics with a modern minimalist design, creating a space that feels both refined and incredibly comfortable.
The communal areas on the ground floor and the tea space on the fourth floor are perfect for unwinding. Each day, guests are offered a complimentary coffee as well as drinks at the bar across the street, which is a thoughtful touch.
The front desk staff are also exceptionally professional — noticeably above the standard we’ve experienced at many other hotels.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with Metro Line 2 right nearby, placing it in Xi'an's main urban commercial district. This makes it incredibly convenient for dining, sightseeing, and shopping. On the first day, I booked a room with a large window, but I was planning to check out the next day due to outdated facilities. However, when I spoke to a staff member on the second day, they moved me to a newly renovated room on the 4th floor (renovated in 2022). I was quite satisfied and promptly rebooked to stay for another four nights. The housekeeping staff from the 'Shuyuan Gate' team even proactively wiped down my luggage while cleaning. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
A truly perfect stay! The hotel was clean and tidy, with comfortable, spacious, and odor-free rooms. The smart lighting control was excellent, offering four settings from 0% to 100%. The toiletries were high quality. I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is located at few minutes from the Bell Tower, a central location that allows a quick 2alk to some of the main attractions such as the Xi'an wall and the Muslim quarter. All the guides know the place which makes it very convinient for the trip pick ups.
The rooms are confortable, clean and with some of the most modern features we have seen. With spacious shower!
Highly recommend!

Facilities: Very complete. The shower and toilet are separate, and quite a distance from the sink, which makes the space very convenient. The hairdryer and hot water work exceptionally well.
Hygiene: Pretty good, both in the room and the restaurant.
Environment: Located in a bustling area, very close to the Bell Tower and the Grand Tang Everbright City. If you're heading to SEG Plaza, drive up the spiral parking tower to the eleventh floor, then take the express elevator down to the first floor. Enter through the front of the mall and experience Asia's longest indoor escalator – it's quite something.
Service: Very polite and attentive. They upgraded our room to keep us on the same floor for convenience. The breakfast selection is extensive.

MM423333****Very close to the subway and surprisingly quiet, with a cool retro decor. It was super convenient for getting around.
You absolutely HAVE to try the rice noodles for breakfast! I ate them for three days straight, haha. They come with a stir-fried meat sauce that's incredibly delicious.
The aunties and the front desk staff were all so thoughtful and accommodating. They helped with everything I asked for, even printing dozens of pages of my contract!
**Double Indulgence Afternoon Tea Buffet**: Highly recommended, with fruits, pastries, and coffee.
GGuest UserWe had a great stay at this hotel. Special thanks to Ivy at reception for the smooth check-in and check-out. The staff were very thoughtful — they even lent us contact lens solution when we asked where to buy one. We also received complimentary magnets and a free room upgrade. The rooms were big, spacious, and comfortable. It’s about 10mins walk to the Great Mosque, Bell Tower and Muslim street.
One tip: be careful when selecting the hotel on DiDi, as there is another hotel with the same name nearby. Our taxi brought us to the wrong hotel twice. I guess difference in the translation
@@luoyutingchanFive stars, highly recommended! The room was spotless and bright, and the smart amenities were a breeze to use. The bedding was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The staff were warm and incredibly helpful, making check-in super efficient. The overall environment was quiet and relaxing, and the location was really convenient for getting around. My stay exceeded all expectations and offered incredible value for money. I'll definitely be choosing this place again next time!
MM548724****The hotel facilities are good and it's clean. The bed is really soft and comfortable. The cleanliness is quite satisfactory; there are no stains on the bedding, and the floors are clean. The hotel is conveniently located near Keji Road subway station, making transportation quite easy. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea with black tea and parking vouchers.
MMaoninixiaopengyouThe location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter, yet it's not overly noisy.
Facilities: The room was very spacious with a well-thought-out layout. Plus, it had two 1.5-meter large beds, which were incredibly comfortable.
Service: The service was great, and check-in was very fast. A lady at the front desk even granted us a late check-out when she learned we had a late flight.
Breakfast: I highly recommend the hotel's breakfast. They offered a wide variety of Xi'an specialty noodles, and they all tasted excellent.
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel was excellent. First off, the location is unbeatable. There are so many attractions nearby, making it super easy to visit places like the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Shaanxi History Museum, and Datang Everbright City over a few days. The back exit even leads directly to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is incredibly convenient. I was also pleasantly surprised by how good the soundproofing was. I was on the second floor facing the street and was worried about noise, but with the curtains drawn at night, I could barely hear anything from the road. Breakfast was also very good. While it can't compare to a five-star hotel, the variety was as extensive as possible, and the hot dishes were of great quality. The mini roujiamo (meat burgers) were delicious, and the staff serving them were very friendly.
JJeffreycdThe hotel's location is fantastic, right by the Grand Tang Mall (Datang Buyecheng) – a quiet oasis in the bustling city. Just around the corner, there are restaurants serving authentic Xi'an cuisine. We booked a family room, which was very spacious, and the mattress was super comfortable. My child especially loved the sofa bed. The breakfast spread was generous, and there were plenty of bottled water bottles in the elevator lobby, so we could just grab a few on our way back to the room, saving us the hassle of calling for water. All in all, it's excellent value for money. We'll definitely choose Hampton again on our next trip to Xi'an!

HHaihai1314The room was spacious and well-arranged, conveniently located near the Bell Tower, with plenty of great food options right downstairs. My only complaint is that the air conditioning would switch to a 'health mode' in the middle of the night, and Xi'an can get quite hot. The hotel also has many spots where you can find 'Xi'an' written, perfect for photo ops.
