Sunset Beach Resort and Spa

the hotel has had its share. The fact that it has 4* does not correspond at all. The room is nice, spacious, the beds are hard, the walls are dirty. Only the view was worth 4*. The neighbors changed every day, they were very noisy. The clientele was mainly Asian and the culture of these would-be travelers is at the level of monkeys. Another clientele were Poles...at 6.30 they put towels on the sunbeds and didn't come until the afternoon. He never checked. The restaurant was the last straw. I think that breakfast at a price of 500 CZK should correspond to 4*. Breakfast was from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Those who came first at 6:30 a.m. had a choice. Otherwise, at 7:00 a.m., all the food was already missing and it was not enough to replenish it, let alone harvest it and bring the tables back to use. It was a superhuman task. No wonder. Some Asian tourists still do not know that food is not thrown on the ground or on the tables. When entering the restaurant, sometimes it looked like after a big party. The food was cold, insufficient and the same every day. All for the Asian clientele. Bones from the ”meat” in the sauce were not enough to break a tooth. the pool was beautiful, well maintained. In the afternoon, there were always masses of Asian people, they didn't belong in the hotel, and until the evening hours they ran wild and hollered, including children. The music played insanely loud from 5 p.m. until the morning hours. For such money, we expected a standard hotel and not a passer- by
Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc

The Staff at the reception were amazing. Very welcoming, big smiles and so helpful. Requests were fulfilled immediately and I had a few :D anyway I asked for a quiet room on the top floor. I got it. I asked to be able to enjoy breakfast two times (at the opening at 6 AM and before closing around 10 AM). That in order to better manage my diabetes type 2 condition. They made sure I could get that too. The staff at the restaurant was not so welcoming. Just doing their job. For a nice start of the day smiles and a friendly welcoming attitude would help... The food for breakfast was plentiful and good. Items were replenished until the closing time. The room was not very large but nice. The bed was comfortable. There was a safe and a fridge but nothing to do some ironing. The bathroom was very functional. The air conditioner was efficient and not too noisy. The TV was unusable for me but I usually do not watch TV anyway. The big swimming pool with the large children section has very few lounge chairs...which anyway get promptly ”reserved” (and then left ”empty” with clothes, etc... to make sure no one can use them). But it is probably safer to swim there than in the polluted sea a quick walk away as the locals (and unfortunately many guests too) seem to have no environment awareness. Phu Quoc is from that perspective a very poor example in Vietnam. The location of the hotel is good. The free VinBus stops in front and it is next to the ”fake” Venice. There are plenty of shops around as well as restaurants and other eateries. The sea and the beach are hardly a 10 minutes walk away. The area is quiet and not visibly as polluted as the town. The town and the airport are easily reachable with the convenient and free VinBuses in 45 to 60 minutes. I would not hesitate to come back to the Wyndham Garden should I return to Phu Quoc in the future.

The best room type for my stay this time. The view in the room is really beautiful and highly recommended. However, the water quality is terrible. I was supposed to take a bath, but when the water went down, it turned yellow and I was scared to death. The breakfast was very ordinary, so don’t expect too much, but the location is really good. It's great. It's a one-minute walk to the exchange house for jewelry and a five-minute walk to the night market.

Overall, this hotel is good! Pros: - peace and quite, nice hotel environment for relaxation. - Pleasant staff, even when we check out, a staff comes to our room door to help us grab our baggage to the reception counter. - Spacious room, toilet and bath room (both shower and bath tube available). - 2-king sized beds, great! - Free airport transfer, better email the hotel directly to make your request at least one day in advance. - It’s a small scaled resort, but reasonable varieties of choices in breakfast. - Free minimal water for refill. - Welcome drink and fruit at room - free bike rental Cons: - the resort is located in a very remote area, like inside a village. Many taxi drivers not sure the location, so many times they lose their ways to the hotel. - Actually, not recommend for 1-2 girls to book this hotel, its remoteness is really a big concern, both day time and night time! - I feel scared in the toilet and shower area, because they install something like mosquito net only in window areas. That means I can see through outside, vice versa. I wonder I may see some eyes starring at me when I shower at night…. Scary! - Their hot water tap takes over 15 mins for heating, wasting lot of water to wait for shower… - Eco-friendly hotel, they provide plastic reusable sandals, so better bring your own sandals if needed

Very popular hotel with high occupancy, as evidenced by the huge crowd almost daily during breakfast hours (6.30 to 10.30 am). Peak hours is around 8 to 9.30 am, near impossible to find vacant seats, even though seating capacity is pretty large in the restaurant. Breakfast spread is substantial and is replenished regularly but the hot dishes (slightly different daily) are not really tasty/delicious. The usual staples are better, eg bread, ham/bacon, eggs, salad and fruits. Coffee is not great, I took a few sips and didn’t want it anymore. Pool is huge and reasonably clean but there are some missing mosaic tiles on parts of the pool wall which should have been better maintained. You can watch fireworks on Saturdays if you stay in a pool-facing room on a high floor. Rooms on the same side as the main entrance face trees and nothing else (fine for people who prefer greenery). The rooms on the other remaining sides either have partial sea-views or partial view of Grandworld/open field. The room itself is very plain looking - adding some decorations (eg hang some paintings/posters or place a couple of attractive cushions) would have enhanced the interior design. Overall, I’m pleased with my hotel choice – strong points: location, cleanliness, facilities and services are very good and it is excellent value if you get a good room rate in your booking.

Thank you for your service. All workers are extremely polite. Welcomed with welcome tea. Breakfast was very good and near from the houses. And you can sit outside or inside of the restaurant. The pool was very satisfying. It was 2.2m and has kids zone too. The spa was good, clean and i'd got massage everyday. And the room is super clean. The mini bar is free charged everyday. The bathroom is big. And balcony is clean. Mini fridge is perfect for cooling my beer. You'll have hairdryer, boiling pot, tv, umbrella, 2 types of slippers, beach towel in the room. You can rent moped from the hotel and it doesn't costs that much. It's better than taking a taxi. Location is middle of the island. So it's easy to get north or south. Near from the king kong market and night market. Best experience in my life. I will come to this resort again
Venice Hotel Phu Quoc - Free Airport Shuttle & Sunset Town Tour

Really love this place, so amazing. The location, the check in progress, the service, the breakfast, the intown shuttle, the room decorations, everything just beyond our expectations. This is the last day we stay at Phu Quoc Island, according to hotel policy, we suppose can not be used the free service for cable car as we need to get back to the airport the day after. They are give us the free show ticket instead, just a WOW experience. We really enjoyed the multi-expirience art show ”The kiss of the sea” and the fireworks show, it is the best memorial time of our family. All the staff just very nice, patient and really helpful, thanks so much.... Definitely we will back again....

This hotel deserve everyone to come here. First location is good(Sao beach is really close,) but I think beach that is 2 min walking from hotel is way better and clean, sand is white, not so many people as well..Service is amazing, stuff is so friendly and willing to help with everything. Only manager speaks good English, but overall all of them are so nice. This hotel should have 4 stars. Rooms are amazing, clean , they have wverything that you need, for someone will be important they have toilet seats like in Japan. Good TV, you can have rest with Netflix. They have lovely dog that will welcome you everytime when you come back to hotel. Boss is also friendly. Breakfast is like in Europe, you can choose what you want. The Jo's cucine is in hotel and pastas are sooo delicious. We ate lunch and dinner there. Coffee is soo good and you can order every coffee .So amazing hotel, so if you are willing to stay in Phu Quoc, this will be the best offer for this island. I will come here again for sure !!!
