"The room was spacious and generally clean, but the soundproofing wasn't great. I was staying overnight for a connecting flight and was woken up by people talking loudly in the hallway. It's possible they were just very loud, though. The room had a window, but it faced the bathroom – luckily, there was a curtain to block it out. The hotel offers airport shuttle service, but when I tried to call the number they gave me from the airport, it was constantly busy, so I ended up taking a taxi myself. The drop-off service to the airport, however, was perfectly fine; I took the hotel's car."

"The environment is beautiful, clean, and tidy. The lady at the front desk was very polite, warm, attentive, and thoughtful. It's very close to the airport, so taking a taxi is super convenient. There are also many fun attractions nearby. The room was impeccably clean and tidy; the cleaning staff did a great job. The breakfast had a rich variety and tasted delicious. The cocktails were also really good. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I recommend everyone to stay here. Thumbs up!👍🏻"

The hotel's dinner buffet was simple but perfectly sufficient to fill you up. If you don't fancy it, there are many shops to choose from downstairs at the airport, which is very convenient.
The hotel service was a bit casual, but it fully met our needs.
Overall, I still highly recommend it."

"Perfect Stay Near Shanghai Pudong Airport – Highly Recommended!
At first glance, the exterior of Shanghai Pudong International Airport BOAI Hotel may look a bit old and not well maintained, but once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior is calm, quiet, and very clean, offering a truly comfortable stay. Although the hotel is only about 10 km from Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG), the surroundings are peaceful, with open land and a water channel nearby – the only sounds you hear are birds. It feels safe, private, and well secured.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even though they do not speak English. They communicate efficiently through WeChat and provide a dedicated contact number, making everything easy. The front desk is available 24 hours, and they respond quickly to any request at any time.
The rooms are excellent – new, spacious, and super clean. They are equipped with all essential facilities such as hot water, air conditioning, tea/coffee set, and 24/7 housekeeping. Everything was well maintained and exceeded my expectations.
One of the biggest advantages is value for money. The room rates are very affordable compared to other hotels offering the same level of comfort and service.
The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle service, which is well organized and always on time – no delays.

"I had an amazing stay at Shanghai Xin Lun Boutique Hotel near Pudong Airport. The free airport transfer, both pick-up and drop-off, was extremely convenient and well-organized. The hotel itself is spotless clean, beautifully decorated, and feels very cozy. Everything inside looks brand new.
The mattress and pillows are high-quality memory foam, which gave me one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a hotel. The bathroom amenities were also impressive the lotions, shower gels, and shampoos are of excellent quality, much better than what you usually find in hotels at this price.
The staff were very polite and always ready to help, although communication in English was sometimes a challenge. Still, their friendliness and effort made the experience positive overall.
If you’re looking for a clean, modern, and comfortable hotel close to Pudong Airport with reliable transfers, this is absolutely the place to stay. I will definitely book again on my next trip."

One of the staff specially took us to explore the different types of room so we can decide which room type to take which we really appreciate!! The location is so accessible!!We can reach the main tourist attractions like Xintiandi, Yuyuan and Nanjing road within 10 mins by their cab Didi and costs less than USD$3 only and the pick up and drop off point is just in front of the hotel which is so easy for us!!They even offer free popcorn and drinks and amenities like travel sunblock cream, soap, floss, body cream throughout our stay!!All of the staff were exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional — always greeting us with genuine smiles and going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable such as helping us to book ******* delivery and helping us to collect our taobao parcels.
Our room was spotless clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully prepared such as the toilet seat with a warm function. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, reflected the hotel’s high standards and care for guests.
Special mention to the front desk team— their friendliness and helpful recommendations truly made our stay even more enjoyable.

MMccaBWe made a one-night stop here on our 10-day trip, after exploring Hangzhou and Suzhou - and we were revisiting, having already enjoyed four lovely nights here earlier. The stay was pleasant and comfortable, with a appreciated free shuttle service to nearby spots. But the highlight was the complimentary supper every night after 9pm - delicious wonton, noodles, and rice noodles! The staff were friendly, polite, and courteous throughout, making our stay even more wonderful!

GGuest UserThe room was more spacious than I'd imagined, and the view from the window was quite nice, with Jing'an Temple visible in the distance. The walk-through area in the room was just wide enough to open a suitcase, leaving little extra space, but it was perfectly fine for a solo trip.
Soundproofing in the room wasn't great; noises from outside the door were quite clear (though this is a common drawback of hostels). This might be an issue for light sleepers.
Transportation is incredibly convenient, as it's only about a three-minute walk from the subway station, which really helps save on travel expenses.
**Cleanliness:** The shared bathrooms were exceptionally clean; an attendant would clean them immediately after each use, which was very reassuring.
**Service:** Upon arrival, a staff member showed me to my room and introduced the facilities. The lobby offered quite a few amenities; I recall there was an ice machine, and I even borrowed an umbrella from the front desk when it rained during my stay.
Overall, I was very satisfied and would happily choose to stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

Although the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are very well maintained. We booked a Pearl Room, and the front desk assigned us a fantastic room with a direct view of the Oriental Pearl Tower – it was incredible to see it so up close! The location is also superb, right in the heart of Lujiazui, with convenient access to IFC for dining and shopping downstairs. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully peaceful night's sleep.
Upon checking in, we mentioned it was our anniversary. Later that evening, we found a lovely small setup in our room, along with a complimentary cake and champagne – a very thoughtful gesture! A special thank you to Jessi from Guest Services for taking such great care of our child, even preparing drawing paper and kid's amenities. After dinner, our child enjoyed a swim in the pool, while we adults relaxed with drinks at Flair in the evening.
Furthermore, while the breakfast didn't offer the widest variety I've ever seen, it was by far the most exquisite. They even peeled and sliced pomelo and oranges for you – who does that?! You absolutely must try the potstickers; they're so juicy! There was a foreign female manager who was constantly attending to guests during breakfast, proactively asking about the food and helping clear plates. All the staff had smiles on their faces – I truly loved it!

PPandy016I communicated our pick up needs to hotel at regular intervals and keot them updated about our flight. Advised would be arriving a little early due to flight. Was told to call after landing - no answer. Tried messaging on we chat took a while for response. No clear directions. So arrived at exit after clearing customs and collecting bags. Then told to go back upstairs to gate 3 departures. Waited out there for a long time. Over half an hour. Many other hotels collected people with many others coming and going while we waited. One hotel had 3 vehicles with their name on it pick up patrons in the time we were standing there. I can now see why we were the only ones going to Novotel. Clearly the driver did not leave the hotel after long after we advised we had arrived. When he did turn up in a rundown silver van with no name on it. He drove like a mad man and dangerously. He think he was trying to make up for time. He was rather rude when he dropped us off, not a word from him. Check in experience was no better. Two girls on reception were talking **** about us - yes I had my translator on after explaining our check in details to them. Very poor service and actually unprofessional behaviour. Room service had finished so we weren't able to get anything to eat. Did not feel able nor did I want to speak with front desk again to ask for assistance in ordering some food. Only staff that was friendly or even acknowledged us was the lovely cleaning lady on our floor the following morning. Breakfast was okay. Laundry was a mess from another lady who pulled out all her washing dripping wet and made a huge puddle on the floor. If there had been a towel I would have cleaned up her mess! We wish we had gone straight to the hotel we had originally planned to but opted for the Novotel due to close proximity to airport for our late flight back into Shanghai. We would have been better off going straight to the original hotel over an hour away. I believe we still would have arrived earlier. We have stayed at Novotel Auckland Airport in New Zealand a few times and the service is impeccable. Unfortunately Novotel Shanghai Pudong Chuansha is not a good representation of the Novotel brand. Also considering this an airport hotel with many tourists likely utilizing it - very few things have English translation including the vending machine. The hotel building itself is nice and the only positive. Won't be back - step up your game. I usually do rave reviews and very rarely do negative unless warranted.

1. **Bedding Surprise**: The moment we opened the door, 'Happy Birthday' written in green leaves🍃 was spread all over the bed! 🥰
2. **Thoughtful Touches**: A small chocolate cake was prepared in advance, and it was absolutely delicious! 🥰
Even more amazing was the 'indoor swimming pool' – with heated, circulating water! Two essential oil diffusers were running indoors, filling the whole room with a subtle cedarwood scent. At night, the Oriental Pearl Tower sparkled right outside the window, and soaking in the water while watching the tower lights change colors was incredibly refreshing!
Also, a special shout-out to Vicky; she even messaged us after check-out to ask about our experience! 🥰
