We stayed at this hotel for three nights while we were on our way back to China after studying abroad, as we planned to go sightseeing and shopping in Shanghai; the hotel was conveniently located near the airport, and they provided shuttle services to and from the airport; the staff were very friendly and helpful; they even upgraded our rooms for free and took care of our luggage; the hotel was clean, well-maintained, had large windows with plenty of natural light, and was equipped with all the necessary amenities; the location was also excellent, and there were plenty of dining and lodging options nearby; I highly recommend it.

With free pickup and drop off services staying at this hotel is the best alternative to hanging around at the airport for 14 hours. There is an opportunity to have some sleep, shower and stretch your legs, and watch English speaking channels on TV, so the long journey to New Zealand is not so stressful. All amenities are working well. You have free bottled water, a kettle, some glasses, a USB port by bedside. Maybe just carpet flooring needs to be replaced for a new one. Staying at BOAI hotel met my expectations. The receptionist was friendly and fluent in English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to make your layover in Shanghai easier, especially during summer time when it is hot in Shanghai. Value for money is excellent! it is close to the metro. Only around 2 minutes walk. I found it really confusing to find when I arrived. The mattress was REALLY thin and hard. But I still slept fine. The bathroom was really dirty, but my bed area was clean and tidy. For the price it’s a fine place to stay. Good amenities close by. I had really good dumplings, and there’s a convenience store across the road with snacks etc. Thank you:)

The staffs are friendly, polite and really helpful even they can’t speak English but tried their best to communicate with customers. The location is excellent, just 300m. from metro station and the attraction tourist points are not too far from the hotel.

The service is good and the hotel location is OK. There is a shopping mall around it, but it is not close to the main road so there is no noise. But the toilets are so bad. Why do you use container-type toilets if the entire building is your hotel? Not only are the walls of the toilet made of thin panels that make loud noises when knocked on, the floor is also hollow, so flushing the toilet or taking a shower also makes loud noises. The toilet seat was dirty, and the hinges on the bathroom glass were even dirtier. Except for the bathing area, everything else is OK.

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the safari park, so that we can quickly return to the comfortable room to rest after a tired play. We reached Shanghai Pudong Airport at 120am so decided to stay near the Airport before we moved to the city the next day. Maxinge is good for transit. Clean hotel. Room size is okay for couples with 2 luggage. The hotel looks old but it is clean and comfortable for a good night's rest. Airport transfer is free upon reservation. Pick-up is available every hour with intervals of 30 minutes or 1 hour. The pick-up location is T2 Terminal P2 Parking Lot H6 Meeting Point. The mini-bus License plate number is 3399 or 4382. Yes, aeroplanes are flying over but they give earplugs. Good price for a good night's rest.

The location was very good, in the city center, near the metro station. We had a room with window, this room was good (I would not recommend the no-window room!). The carpet in the hallway was really gross. There were almost zero amenities in the room. All in all good for budget travellers.
