GGuest UserWe stayed at this guesthouse with our kids for our trip to Disneyland. It's about a 10-minute drive from the park, and the owner provides a complimentary shuttle service, dropping us off in the morning and picking us up in the evening. We hadn't booked our tickets in advance, but the owner even helped us connect with a concierge service to get them. All the rooms are themed, which was a big hit, and it offers great value for money. Plus, the kids loved being able to feed the rabbits!

CClaire_PanFinding a hotel this time around took ages, and a lot of the reviews I saw weren't great, including other Huazhu hotels. Even though this place had decent reviews and a friend recommended it, I was still a bit nervous before checking in. **Environment:** The hotel entrance felt a little cramped, but once inside, it instantly felt comfortable. The light, minimalist style is exactly what I like. The room layout was also very pleasant; the lighting and space were both great. **Facilities:** The room had a coffee machine ☕ which was very convenient, and a fridge (with soft drinks inside). The lobby also had water brewed by the hotel itself. **Hygiene:** Very clean! This was my biggest concern, and I gave it a thorough look-over as soon as I entered. **Service:** I was genuinely impressed with the service this time. Staff members would actively approach and ask if I needed anything if we made eye contact, always with a smile. The cleaning lady even politely greeted me with a 'Good morning' as I left my room and asked, 'May I clean the room now?' Just a minor point: the front desk staff said the room they arranged had a better view (facing the golf course), but all I saw was a messy rooftop 🤣. However, it was quiet, which was a plus and didn't affect my overall satisfaction. **Food:** The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, covering Chinese and Western styles, coarse grains, fine noodles, and fruits. If you're not looking for steak for breakfast, it's perfectly adequate for a regular meal (didn't get a full photo, but there's also a coffee machine and toaster 🍞).

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying in a hostel, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! I was in Shanghai for a concert, and hotels were too expensive, so I booked this hostel just to try it out. The location is superb – right by the Changshu Road subway exit. There are many coffee shops downstairs, and lots of old mansions nearby, with plenty of great places to eat, explore, and do some city walking~ After checking in, a staff member showed me to my room and helped explain the locations of the washrooms, toilets, and showers. The room also came with a set of disposable toiletries. In the common areas, there was always a cleaning lady tidying up, and the restrooms were disinfected after each use, which was incredibly thoughtful! It’s also very close to the Mercedes-Benz Arena, making it convenient to get anywhere! I got back after the concert close to midnight, and there were many girls in the washroom area removing their makeup. I didn't have to worry about safety at all. The female and male washroom areas are far apart, and I didn't see any male guests during my stay, which is great for female travelers. After 11 PM, the hair dryers are put away, and the outlets are locked, so no noise disturbs anyone's rest. The room was very clean. If someone with潔癖 (germophobia) thinks it's clean, then it's *really* clean. The bedding was very comfortable, and climbing to the top bunk was easy. The room wasn't big, but it was just enough for one person, which made me feel very secure. Regarding soundproofing, if you're a very light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend it, as there can be some noise. However, I personally found it fine; I slept very comfortably. I only heard people opening and closing doors, but not sounds from the adjacent rooms. The reception floor has facilities for picking up packages and food deliveries, as well as a common area to relax. It's on a high floor with a great view. There's also a self-service bar for drinks, which I didn't try this time, but I might next time~. Regarding age restrictions, it seems they don't host very young children or very elderly people, but unlike some other hostels, there's no 35-year-old age limit, which is also fantastic! This stay was so good that I almost didn't want to leave this little 'nest'~ I've always wanted to spend more days exploring Shanghai, and next time I visit, I'll definitely consider staying here again. I absolutely loved it! Finally, ending with a checkout photo, because a clean and tidy space is key for a hotel stay~

GGuest UserThis was honestly one of the most memorable hotel stays we have ever experienced. We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong to celebrate my girlfriend’s 23rd birthday during our first trip to Shanghai together, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. Before arrival, Assistant Guest Recognition Manager Yana Ivleva kindly communicated with us by email and thoughtfully helped arrange everything for the celebration. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel welcomed even before we arrived at the hotel. The room decoration, birthday cake, handwritten card, flowers, and beautiful Bund view created such a special atmosphere for us. Every detail felt thoughtful and heartfelt rather than simply formal hotel service. The hotel itself was also outstanding — the room condition, cleanliness, facilities, swimming pool, and especially the incredible night view of Shanghai were all amazing. Flair Rooftop Bar was also a wonderful experience for enjoying the skyline and atmosphere. What impressed us the most, however, was the hospitality. Yana and the staff truly made this stay unforgettable for us, and thanks to them, our first trip to Shanghai became a memory we will cherish for a very long time. We are sincerely grateful to The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong and will absolutely look forward to returning again in the future.

QQingchunxiansenFive-star perfect review! An excellent choice for a Bund view! My stay at the Shanghai Orient Bund Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience, and I have to give it a full five-star recommendation! I booked through Trip.com, and when checking in, the staff were incredibly attentive. They proactively offered me a discounted upgrade to a river view suite, which was a truly generous gesture and made the value for money exceptional. The hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable. Step right out and you're on the Bund, just a short walk from the historic Bund architecture. It's incredibly convenient for getting around and sightseeing. I stayed in a room on the 21st floor, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed, expansive view. From my room, I could take in the entire Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and the Bund scenery. During the day, boats glided along the river, and the banks displayed distinct layers of scenery. As night fell, the building lights illuminated one by one, creating a dazzling and breathtaking night view. I could enjoy the city's top-tier views without even leaving the room – every picture I took looked like it belonged in a magazine. The hotel's overall ambiance is elegant and grand, with a high-quality finish to the decor. The public areas were clean and quiet, and the guest rooms were well-designed, clean, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches in the soft furnishings. I felt incredibly relaxed during my stay. The service was impeccable; the front desk staff were warm, polite, and responsive, while the housekeeping and service personnel were gentle and thorough. The entire experience was pleasant and comfortable. Whether for sightseeing or a relaxing getaway, this hotel is an excellent choice. Its prime location, unbeatable river views, attentive service, and the surprise room upgrade completely exceeded my expectations. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Shanghai and genuinely recommend it to anyone looking to explore the Bund! Cleanliness: Clean and tidy Environment: Beautiful Service: Five-star attitude

GGuest UserTerrible. Will not stay again. The check-in SOP was unclear, forcing guests to ask multiple questions, even for basic information like breakfast times and location. The room smelled of smoke, possibly due to old or poorly maintained air conditioning. The front desk staff denied there was a smoke smell and only after repeated requests did they show me other rooms, about half of which also smelled of smoke. Their service attitude was both arrogant and perfunctory. The operational procedures were also a mess; for example, after checking in, I found the room didn't even have a kettle and called to request one. Ten minutes later, housekeeping knocked on the door, saying they needed to replace the in-room magazine. It was bizarre to replace a monthly magazine after check-in. The kettle that was eventually delivered was wet inside and out, with a strong disinfectant smell inside. The ice bucket in the room also had water and already smelled foul when opened. The hotel management is riddled with loopholes everywhere; quality is in the details. The hard furnishings like the toilet and bathtub in the room were old, the shower handle was broken, and the water pressure was worse than a 3 or 4-star hotel. The linens were average. However, the bedding and mattress were good.

GGuest Userwe stayed here for the free shuttle to disneyland and pick up to and from the airport. disneyland shuttle only operates 720am (to disney) and 1020pm (back) its early but the park opens at 830am and we reached the park’s entrance after walking at about 815am so it works out. airport pick up has no timing, you contact the hotel to get their wechat and arrange for the shuttle. for shuttle to the airport they have hourly timing except the early mornings 4am, 6am, 8am, 10am then hourly. can check with the front desk. rooms wise it was so smelly with smoke and the sheets were obviously not changed because it reeked and they definitely knew because our windows were opened and the air freshener was plugged in. saving grace was the breakfast we paid for and shuttles

AAnonymous UserA huge thank you to Deslin for the incredibly thoughtful and attentive assistance during my check-in! From the warm, welcoming smile as I walked in, to patiently explaining the hotel's facilities and the surrounding area, every detail made me feel so comfortable. What moved me even more was how Deslin noticed my travel fatigue and proactively helped me upgrade to a quieter, more comfortable room, even thoughtfully preparing welcome fruit and a heartfelt handwritten note. The check-in process was efficient and smooth, and throughout, Deslin maintained a gentle tone, answering all my questions, which instantly helped me shed all my travel weariness. This genuine care and professional service truly define what it means to feel at home. Kudos to Deslin, and I look forward to meeting such an outstanding person again on my next stay! 🌟

GGuest UserStaying at the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund again, I was immediately touched by the thoughtful welcome gift upon entering the room. Aaron and Coco put a lot of effort into curating the gift box and snacks, and even the accompanying card was handwritten, showing genuine care rather than a perfunctory gesture. Their demeanor during check-in was gentle and their observations meticulous, noticing even subtle needs. This sincerity, evident in the gift, truly enhanced the warmth of this century-old hotel. My entire stay was comfortable and I felt a strong sense of belonging.

TThe Lonely TravellerMight I say, our entire stay at the W was marvelous from beginning to end. Upon arrival, we were greeted and helped with our luggage straight yo our room. The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. She even offered to upgrade us to a room with a better view seeing that we were celebrating and visiting Shanghai for the first time. Each staff seemed to acknowledge our existence all throughout the hotel. This made us feel like extremely important people. Our room was absolutely stunning and oh my was the view ever so perfect. Room service was excellent. Their burger was probably the most delicious. We visited amd stayed in many hotels around China and this one definitely left some beautiful memories. We would highly recommend staying here if ever visiting Shanghai. Every penny spent was worth it.
