It's definitely one of the most satisfying hotel experiences I've had recently. **Environment and Room:** The hotel is located by the Suzhou Creek, right next to the Waibaidu Bridge, making it incredibly convenient to get to both the Bund and Nanjing Road. The room itself was incredibly spacious, with a modern and luxurious design, impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. Most importantly, the soundproofing was excellent, allowing for a perfectly quiet night's sleep even in the bustling city center. **Dining Experience:** Breakfast was semi-buffet style, offering both a rich variety of choices and exquisite presentation. The buffet items were fresh, and the à la carte dishes were truly a highlight. Whether it was the Chinese dim sum or the Western omelets, everything was prepared with great care, and the taste was impressive. **Service Quality:** From check-in to check-out, the service was consistently excellent. Ellie and Moon were professional yet friendly, always responsive to our needs, making us feel comfortable and at ease. Overall, this is a hotel that perfectly combines location, facilities, dining, and service. It's highly recommended for guests who value quality in their travels.

SShazia Casoojee My second time staying at this hotel and yet another wonderful, comfortable experience! The room was big, bed was super comfortable. It's also equipped with a beautiful bathroom that has a lovely sized bath tub. The front desk staff are incredibly professional and friendly. I paid extra for the breakfast buffet which is well worth it. A nice variety of food, fruits and breads. They also provided free shuttle service to and from the MXGP track which was super helpful and convenient. Really enjoy staying at this hotel and I enjoy the peaceful feeling I get when I visit Fengxian. A cute, quaint little town.

AAnnisidelvxingbijiFacilities: Compared to some of the hotels in the old Bund area, Banyan Tree is a newcomer, so the overall facilities are newer. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all over 60 square meters, which is excellent for this location. Service: When checking in, since there weren't two adjacent rooms available in our original booking (we were a family of 4 adults and 1 child), they proactively upgraded our room type. The service during our stay was also very attentive. As it was my husband's and mother-in-law's birthdays the day before and the last day of our stay, respectively, they even sent us a small cake, which was a very thoughtful touch. Ambiance: With Christmas approaching, the hotel already had a strong festive atmosphere, especially the Christmas tree in the garden. It looked absolutely beautiful when lit up at night and was perfect for photos, haha.

GGuest UserDuring my recent stay at Chateau Star River Hotel, I found the facilities to be excellent and the interior decor tastefully designed, creating a luxurious and elegant atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished, contributing to an overall pleasant physical environment. However, the service quality did not match the standard expected from such a well-appointed hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk staff mistakenly assigned me a children’s room, which required me to return to reception and resolve the issue—a rather inconvenient start to my stay. While the room I was eventually given was comfortable and spacious, cleanliness left much to be desired. The bathtub, in particular, had two dead flies and a hardened stain on its surface, which was quite disappointing. I did encounter staff members who demonstrated professionalism—for example, the gentleman managing the breakfast check-in was courteous and efficient. Nonetheless, such instances were the exception rather than the rule. On one occasion, I decided to book a massage at the hotel spa to relieve some back pain. The treatment, which cost approximately $50, was average and initially unproblematic. Unfortunately, at the end of the session, the masseuse offered me an additional service, the nature of which I will refrain from describing here, but I trust it is not difficult to imagine. I declined immediately. Regardless of the hotel's level of control over this matter, given that the spa operates within the premises, I found this situation deeply inappropriate and upsetting.

GGuest UserLocation of the hotel is quite central and about 15-20mins walk to the Bund or Yu Yuan. Their room is generally quite clean and well maintained with some old marks around but overall was a pretty comfortable stay. The staff there were all very friendly and helpful making the stay pleasant. There is also free self service laundry for guest but the only issue is it only opens from 9am to 10pm which pretty much is only useful if you are staying in the hotel and not doing anything as there's not much facility in the hotel.

SSTEPAN LEVITCKIII recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Vista and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel perfectly combines comfort and high-quality service. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed—a comfortable bed, high-quality bathroom fixtures, pleasant touches like a tea set, and excellent soundproofing. I'd also like to highlight the staff: the receptionists were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help. Check-in was quick, and any questions were resolved promptly. A huge thank you to employee Jack for helping me with a late check-out. The location is also convenient—transportation, shops, and great walking areas are nearby. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, with an excellent selection of both European and Asian dishes. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and high-quality service in Shanghai.

GGuest UserHighly recommended. Mr. Li provided outstanding service throughout my stay. He helped me with multiple things, including changing rooms and finding items I needed. My Chinese isn’t very good, but he always listened carefully and communicated in a way I could understand. What impressed me most was that he assisted me right away even at midnight when I needed to change rooms. He genuinely gives his best to every guest. The hotel does have a few minor downsides and some facilities were a bit broken, and it’s slightly far from the subway but the excellent service made my stay truly memorable.
