GGuest UserStayed during the Chinese New Year, and the hotel's festive atmosphere was spot on. The lobby was decorated festively and tastefully, and in the evenings, there were small folk music performances that were very pleasant to listen to. The restaurant offered a special New Year's Eve set menu with authentic and high-quality ingredients; the dishes were fresh, tender, and flavorful. The room was as clean and comfortable as always, and they thoughtfully left a New Year's card and some small snacks. During check-in, the staff proactively informed us about the hotel's New Year activities and even helped us reserve a spot for the evening firework viewing. Penny's attentiveness added a touch of warmth and ceremony to this New Year holiday. This festive experience was just right—lively but not noisy, thoughtful but not forced, and overall very comfortable.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Fengxian, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, service, and modern design. Rooms: The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with thoughtful touches. The bed was especially comfortable, and I appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, contributing to a relaxing environment after a long day. Service: The staff was consistently professional and attentive. Check-in and check-out were both smooth, and any requests I made were handled promptly. While not everyone spoke fluent English, they were eager to assist and always did so with a positive attitude. Dining: Breakfast offered a good mix of local and Western dishes. I found the variety and quality to be above average for a business hotel. The restaurant staff was courteous and ensured the dining area remained clean and well-stocked throughout service. Facilities: The gym and public areas were clean and modern. I didn’t get a chance to use the meeting rooms, but they looked well-equipped. The hotel also had a calm, business-friendly atmosphere that made it ideal for both work and rest. Location: Situated in Fengxian, it’s a bit outside central Shanghai, but perfect if you have business in the area. It’s relatively easy to access via Didi or taxi. The nearby surroundings are quiet and safe, with a few local restaurants and convenience stores in walking distance. Overall: A solid choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking comfort and consistency in Fengxian. I would definitely consider staying here again and recommend it to others looking for a dependable Marriott experience outside the city center.

GGuest UserStayed at the Banyan Tree on the Bund with my parents during Chinese New Year. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly warm and patient. The rooms are genuinely spacious, and the scallion oil noodles for breakfast were absolutely delicious – a must-order every morning! The hotel's location is also excellent, in North Bund. When choosing a hotel, I was debating whether to stay directly on the Bund, and now I'm so glad I didn't. It's truly too crowded there during peak tourist season. This location is much better, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. And here's the best part: we got upgraded to a Bund river-view room, and the view was absolutely unbeatable. The room rate felt entirely worth it. Next time I'm in Shanghai, Banyan Tree will definitely be my top choice.

MMelody mengA very satisfying stay. The room was incredibly clean; even though it's an older hotel, it smelled fresh with no peculiar odors. The room facilities weren't outdated either, feeling quite high-quality. The service was excellent, with staff from the front desk to housekeeping being warm and attentive. The surrounding area has plenty of businesses, with a rich variety of Chinese and international restaurants and snacks. The hotel entrance is right at People's Square subway station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The only minor regret is that the classic red roses were replaced with pink ones. Personally, I think the red ones were more elegant and timeless.

__WeChat317249****First off, let's talk about the location. It's right in the city center, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. Yu Garden is just one subway stop away, and Jing'an Temple is two stops. Taxis are also very affordable, costing around ten-odd yuan to get almost anywhere. Of course, walking or biking can be fun too; for example, on the way to the Bund, passing by Fuzhou Road, I was pleasantly surprised to discover classic eateries like Lao Zheng Xing and Wang Bao He, and the sculptures on the foreign language bookstore's facade were truly unique! Then there's the hotel building itself, which has such a rich sense of history. Especially the staircase on the first floor – it must be original, with its delicate carvings and natural wear. Every time I went up and down, it felt like I was traveling back to the 1930s... The room was incredibly quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. Dining is also very convenient. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, there are places like Xiao Jinling and Xiao Shaoxing in the small street behind it, offering delicious and reasonably priced food. I stayed for several days and still couldn't get enough. If you prefer bolder flavors, there are also spicy crayfish, Ma Du, and Liu Dongliang Food Stall nearby. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel overall.  outdoor pool not available. Indoor pool & gym don't open until 9am which is very inconvenient for some.  Young children are allowed in the gym.  They made a lot of noise which is not appropriate. The room temperature is high.  during day time the room is hot and at night it's still too warm to sleep comfortably.

GGuest UserMy stay in the city view suite at the Regent Shanghai Pudong was excellent. The room faced east, so it had fantastic natural light in the morning and an expansive view, with the Shanghai Tower right behind us. Many jokingly describe the decor as 'KTV style' due to its bold color choices and unique decorations, like a green bedside lamp paired with a red accent wall. However, the strong contrasting colors didn't feel jarring; instead, they created a relaxed and stylish vibe. The shower area was very spacious and fully tiled, making for a great shower experience. The Executive Lounge deserves special praise; the service was incredibly warm and professional, and the food quality was top-notch. In the mornings, they offered à la carte options, and the view allowed you to see both the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai's 'three giants' (three tallest skyscrapers). The amenities were all good; the slippers were soft and durable, and the Perricone MD toiletries had a sophisticated scent. The gift bag even had a dragon pattern lining and was quite sturdy. The perks were generous too, including a complimentary mini-bar and free parking. The mini-bar even came with a bottle of champagne and a bottle of red wine, and the free parking saved us at least a hundred yuan. The only drawback was that the breakfast on the first floor was a bit too simple.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located for transportation and shopping, with a 24-hour convenience store downstairs. Marry Liu at the front desk provided excellent service with a smile. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good. There were even complimentary welcome drinks in the mini-fridge. Overall, it was a pretty good stay.

GGuest UserDuring our stay, we did not identify any significant shortcomings in the hotel. Its prime location, where it is easily accessible on foot to the Bund, was a notable feature. The room conditions were excellent, with thorough cleaning and hygiene measures in place, and the facilities functioned properly. The hotel’s amenities, such as the laundry facilities, added practical value and were more than just marketing gimmicks. The staff at the front desk, Xiao Qin and Xiao Wu, demonstrated professionalism and were able to efficiently address guests’ needs. Overall, considering the balance of cost and quality, this hotel is a safe and reliable choice, with strong performance across all aspects.
