We had an excellent experience at the Doubletree by Hilton in Manchester Piccadilly …arrived early to drop our bags off and a lovely lady on reception (Camelia) checked us in straight away , she was very pleasant and efficient, restored our faith in customer service . I happened to mention in passing that it was my wife’s birthday and imagine her surprise when we got back to our room and Camelia had sent a birthday card and balloon and other goodies to our room for my wife to enjoy . It was a pleasure to stay at the hotel . Shout out to Joshua on the front desk who also was very pleasant and helpful .

An excellent hotel that I’m sure to return to. Check in was a doddle and the reception area and bar looked so welcoming with really vibrant and funky decor. The room itself was well laid out with the bathroom being a wet room. The bed was comfortable too. We were on the 6th floor and there was no noise to be heard from outside. Great stay!

I stayed the day before and booked an extra night but had to move room which was very smooth move. Firstly the was a poo stain on the toilet lid when I checked in and then later when I took a bath it was that hot that I burnt the bottom layer of my foot from the water. There is no way it should be running that hot. Then once I managed to cool my foot down and the bath. I burnt 2 of my toes just from touch the side of the taps. A very different experience from my first night stay and you can see from my review

As I had a 6am flight, I chose to stay the night at TRIBE due to its convenient walking distance to the airport. I also selected it over other nearby options because it's a relatively new hotel, and I was happy to pay a bit more for cleanliness and comfort. The hotel does look stylish from the outside, and the public spaces are well-designed. However, the room itself was a disappointment. Cleanliness was not up to standards, which was a major letdown. When I pulled back the duvet, I found dirt marks and hair inside the covers. It made me extremely uncomfortable, and I ended up not sleeping under the covers at all because it just didn’t feel clean. Additionally, they used off-brand coffee capsules instead of proper Nespresso ones, which felt like a small but noticeable cost-cutting move for a hotel in this price range. Overall, the location is convenient and the design is nice, but the lack of attention to basic cleanliness really undermined the experience.

Hotel Pool has now beeb decommissioned and no longer operational. Gym was available but not much equipment available. During my stay there was a maintenance malfunction resulting in two whole floors of the building having to endure loud drilling noise throughout the night as no onsite maintenance team to fix. Had to move rooms at 11pm and entire floor one stank of ******** - concierge advised the hotel have this problem frequently but they are unable to police guests who are smoking **** in their rooms. Not the best five days business trip overall although menu was great and staff were very friendly. Daily car parking charge of £5 per night for guests should be abolished in my opinion.

Hotel as expected. Clean and convenient. Room had everything we needed. We visited the wellness gym but our card didn’t work so not sure if this is an extra? Only downside was breakfast was very busy, had to wait for a table and they had run out of food items. I ordered a poached egg and waited so long I went for my breakfast and finished it before my egg arrived! Good selection of food if everything had been topped up! Not enough staff on though to cater for numbers waiting for breakfast….however this wouldn’t stop me staying again! Overall a pleasant stay :)

Perfect if you’re due to catch the train with your cabin bag, less so if you’re traveling with three large suitcases as the distance from hotel to station is just a wee bit too much and steep for us! Small straightforward lobby and reception but seemingly big adjacent restaurant for breakfast etc. Not much seating area but there’s an umbrella and uber machine guests can help themselves with. We got a room with double plus a single, a table and two chairs squeezed in the corner and coffee and tea facility. Sufficient for an overnight though if you’re staying in the weekend as we did, there’ll be some rowdy crowd staying in this central Manchester hotel too!

GGuest UserHotel is excellent room and views are lovely. Location is excellent and majority of staff were nice. Only a few issues they give and charge you for doubles in the bar when the menu only gives single prices. The response from the barmaid was you never specified a single when that should be as standard. Also take 50 pound a night for cover in case you spend in the hotel but only refunded 97.60 for the 2 nights. Although we didn’t spend anything on the room. The hotel is super but just those 2 things took the shine of a really great stay.

NNayomithedivaLoved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome. Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in. The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added??? But it was still good nevertheless. The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points. Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well. Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

Ttraveller2002Absolutely loved our stay at The Midland Manchester – everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely looked after, and the service throughout was faultless. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – we had some of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! The room service was prompt, professional, and the food was delicious – a real treat after a long day exploring the city. Speaking of relaxing – the spa was absolutely divine. Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. If you’re in need of some proper pampering, this is the place to be. Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!

Ccindy0072I discovered this hidden gem by accident. I had almost given up on finding a hotel that was close enough to the airport as well as to local shopping and had ac. There are only two things I have a problem with in regards to this place. Please note there is not an elevator or lift as the UK states. The other draw back is there is no way to shield the light in the bathroom area. It is hard to describe. There is a beautiful glass door to the right and left in the bath area with a sink in the middle of the space. If one has to get up to use the facilities the light being turned on glares in the face of the other one in bed. One other note is to be careful when closing the glass door. When I closed the door, my finger got closed in the door and it actually cut my finger below the cuticle. After 3 days, my finger is blue and sore. While the hotel is directly under the local airport's flight pattern, we never heard planes unless we were outside. The grounds are astounding as is the building itself. Make sure to check out the artwork throughout the place. If you like hidden staircases, watch out. The place appears to be kid friendly. There is a fabulous playground adjacent to the property. Make sure to purchase duck food for the locals. The bar, while somewhat limited in its offerings, was suitable for us. As to cost, the prices were comparable if not better than other bars/pubs we have visited.. We did not dine in the restaurant, but from what I say, the food looked amazing. The young man working reception was so very nice to help with our luggage as well as anything else we may have needed. The young ladies working in the bar were also very nice. In fact, they were so embarrassed by my asking to take their photo. They said no one had ever asked to take their photo.

JjS-A solid stay with all the essentials you’d expect from a standard hotel. Check-in was simple and efficient, making for a smooth start to the stay. I appreciated the nice coffee machine on the second floor—great for a quick caffeine fix. The rooms and common areas were clean, and the staff provided good service throughout. Overall, a reliable and pleasant experience.

CCoen FerrariAmazing hotel! The man who greeted me at reception for check in was very nice and professional. Rooms were very clean with complementary still/sparkling water in the fridge. Kettle and Teabags were also available if needed. The room did only have 1 chair at the desk which was a bit annoying, however not a major critique. Shower was very nice, towels and hand soaps / shower gels were provided. However the bathroom door did not have a lock on it as it was a sliding door. It was fine for us since we went as a couple, but is something to take note of. All in all, Great stay!!

EEllenStayed for one night and it was generally okay. Came out of Manchester Piccadilly station and it’s about 20 minutes walk from there. Close to Manchester Victoria station, though. Definitely not Radisson standard but not too bad. Room had stains on the carpet and the hairdryer bag was covered in hair. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was one person on reception at night and was difficult to get through because he was rushed off his feet. Breakfast was okay but pasties and flavoured yoghurts ran out very quickly and were not topped up. Wound I stay there again, probably not. Should you stay there? No harm in trying it out for yourself. Like I said, it’s not bad.

KKcjR21**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review: Perfect Stay for a Manchester United Match & City Exploration!** I recently stayed at Staycity Manchester, and it was an absolute winner for my trip to watch a Manchester United match at Old Trafford. The location is **unbeatable**—just a short stroll from Manchester Piccadilly Station, making it a breeze to arrive by train. But the real game-changer? The **free local bus stop right outside the hotel**! Hopping on and off to explore the city couldn’t have been easier, saving time and hassle. **Matchday Made Easy**: Getting to Old Trafford was seamless. The bus outside the hotel connected me to the city center, where I caught the tram straight to the stadium (about a 20-minute ride). No stressing over parking or taxis—just pure convenience. Post-match, I loved being able to unwind in the hotel’s cozy, modern apartment-style room. The kitchenette was a bonus for late-night snacks, and the comfy bed ensured I was recharged for more adventures. **Exploring Manchester**: Thanks to the free bus, I zipped around to hotspots like the Northern Quarter, Spinningfields, Chinatown & the Football museum with zero transport costs. **Final Whistle Verdict**: Staycity Manchester is a **top-tier choice** for football fans and city explorers alike. Prime location, stellar transport links, and all the comforts you need. I’ll 100% be booking here again for my next matchday weekend. **Highly recommended!** ⚽🏨
