"This was my second stay here. The shuttle bus driver was very experienced, knew exactly where I was, and accurately estimated the time needed to get to the pick-up point. The hotel is on the 4th floor, and on the 1st floor, there's a snack shop similar to 'Haoxianglai'. If you're catching an early international flight, you can enjoy some last-minute shopping and food experiences at this physical supermarket. The 2nd floor is full of restaurants, including Sichuan, local Shanghai cuisine, Northeastern, hot pot, and Jiangnan-style – pretty much everything you could want. Within 50 meters, you'll find KFC, bubble tea shops, fried skewers, dine-in fast food, lottery tickets, fruit stands, SIM card vendors, KTV, flower shops, spas, and internet cafes, also offering a wide variety of choices."

"Newly renovated, and honestly, it was a really good stay! The biggest pluses were how quiet and clean it was; after a long day of traveling, it was great to get some proper rest. The staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out were quick. There's also a convenient minimart, which was super handy for grabbing snacks, drinks, and ice cream. Hotel near People's Square,Shanghai
"Our check-in experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. We arrived after 4pm, and at that time only my friend and I arrived first to check in for 2 of the 3 rooms we had booked. We expected to check in and start enjoying our trip, but the rooms were still not ready. We ended up spending around 2–3 hours waiting at the hotel for the rooms to be ready. What made it even more frustrating was that after waiting for so long, the rooms we were given were not even the room type we had booked and paid for. We had booked 3 rooms of the same room type — South Island with a big sofa, which was also the more expensive room type. However, we were initially told that only 2 rooms of this type were available. The staff later suggested that we upgrade the room so that we could stay together and asked us to pay an additional RMB 50 per night. They try convince us that it will be a better facing of window. However, it seemed that the hotel had actually run out of the room type we booked. Instead of clearly admitting this, they tried to arrange an upgrade with an additional charge. We insisted that we were willing to wait for the room we had originally booked. Eventually, they offered to upgrade 1 room for free after multiple communication. When the rooms were finally ready, the rooms we were given did not have the Lshape big sofa we had booked and were located near the lift lobby, where renovation work was ongoing. The renovation noise was extremely loud and disturbing. We even saw a repeat customer returning to the counter to request a room change because of the renovation noise. This made us wonder why guests were still being assigned rooms in such a noisy area when the hotel was already aware of the problem. After making a fuss at the counter, the second room was eventually changed to the correct big-sofa room. However, the third room still could not be changed. We were told to stay in the wrong room for one night and that they could only change it to the correct room type the next day. As a gesture of goodwill, the hotel offered us some complimentary fruit. Unfortunately, it was just a whole pear and a small amount of grapes, and the fruit wasn't particularly tasty. After spending 2–3 hours waiting and dealing with the room issues, it felt more like a token gesture than a meaningful solution. The breakfast was also quite disappointing, with a relatively limited selection of food. There wasn't much variety, so we did not feel that the breakfast offered very good value compared with what we expected from the hotel. The most frustrating part was that we had already paid for the more expensive room type, yet we had to spend 2–3 hours waiting, repeatedly negotiate with the hotel staff, and still did not get what we had booked immediately. We understand that rooms may sometimes be delayed, but this situation wasted a significant amount of our holiday time. We could have been out sightseeing or enjoying our trip instead of spending several hours at the hotel trying to sort out rooms that we had already paid for. Overall, the poor room management, delayed check-in, inconsistent communication, attempted extra charge, incorrect room allocation, loud renovation noise, limited breakfast and underwhelming goodwill gesture made the stay quite disappointing. The hotel really needs to improve its room preparation, communication and handling of renovation works, especially when guests have already paid for a specific room type."

"This hotel's facilities and services exceeded my expectations. Not only do they offer airport and Disney shuttle services, but even though I arrived very late, past 2 AM, the front desk staff warmly welcomed me and even gave me a generous snack package with Coke, Sprite, and eight bags of various snacks—more than I could eat! The room was even more of a pleasant surprise (see pictures). For just over 200 yuan, staying at a hotel like this is incredible value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again whenever I'm near Pudong Airport."

"The location is super convenient! You can spot the hotel sign right outside the subway exit, and it's located above the Youngor building. There's even a crab roe noodle restaurant downstairs. The hotel is newly renovated and feels cozy. I definitely recommend the deluxe king room over the business room – much more comfortable! Although the window faced another building, it didn't detract from the overall experience. Room 707 was great; I've stayed on the 5th and 6th floors too, but they weren't as comfortable as the 7th. The front desk staff were all efficient and young, and the complimentary lemon water was a nice touch. Overall, I'm very satisfied!"

Although the hotel breakfast doesn't have a huge variety, most items are freshly made. The vegetables change daily, and the soy milk is freshly ground and delicious. The hotel gym is also great, with powerful treadmills. It's also very close to Chuansha Station on Metro Line 2."

Hotel near Qiantan,Shanghai
"Before my recent trip to Shanghai Qiantan, I stayed at the Atour Hotel Jianye near the Oriental Sports Center. It just opened in 2026, and I was a bit worried about a new-decor smell, but there was absolutely none, which means the ventilation is excellent. I felt comfortable bringing my child along. The location is genuinely convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Oriental Sports Center subway station, and Qiantan Taikoo Li is within walking distance, saving a lot of time for dining and shopping. Ordering takeout was also super smooth, with robots delivering directly to the room door. The room was clean and had all the necessary amenities. Atour's bedding has always been quite comfortable, and I slept pretty well. Breakfast deserves a special mention; while not overly extensive, it covered both Chinese and Western options. The mini wontons were freshly made, with thin skins and a flavorful broth. Plus, they didn't charge for my child's breakfast, which was a nice human touch. Overall, I had a good stay, and the value for money is decent. I'd likely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai."

"Shanghai Nanjing East Road Atour Hotel – A New Opening Experience I recently stayed at the newly opened Atour Hotel, and my overall experience was excellent. The location is truly prime for tourists, situated right in the heart of the city, adjacent to the core Nanjing East Road commercial area. Stepping out, you can immediately explore old Shanghai's distinctive cuisine, go shopping, and easily access attractions. For travelers, the location advantage is simply unparalleled. However, the hotel's entrance design might be a bit surprising for business travelers. The hotel is located on the 8th floor of the Landmark Plaza, and the street-level lobby entrance is next to a popular silver jewelry store. During the day, there's a heavy flow of people, making the overall environment quite crowded. First-time visitors might find it a stark contrast to the usual quiet ambiance of a typical hotel entrance, which is a rather unique little detail. I stayed in a standard king room, which was spacious, bright, and well-arranged, offering good living comfort. Although the room didn't have an exterior street view, it cleverly incorporated an indoor artificial mini-garden, effectively compensating for the lack of outdoor scenery – a very ingenious design. As always, the bedding was of Atour's high-quality standard. The Atour Planet pillows and dedicated linens were soft, skin-friendly, and provided just the right amount of support, making for a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable sleep experience. All the facilities and equipment were brand new, in perfect condition, and very well-maintained. The most impressive aspect was the front desk service. The staff handling check-in and check-out were gentle, friendly, responsive, and meticulously attentive. The entire experience was very pleasant."

"This hotel has one of the best locations you could ask for. It is literally close to everything you might need during your stay. Right outside the building, there are countless restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and small shops, making it incredibly convenient for everyday travel. Whether you need a quick snack, a meal, or any daily essentials, everything is just a few steps away. Within a short walk, you’ll find a large shopping street filled with almost everything imaginable, from luxury designer brands to popular fast fashion stores. There are also endless dining options, including local restaurants, cafés, dessert shops, and international food, so you’ll never run out of places to try. Just a little farther down the road, you can enjoy an amazing view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, making the location even more special. It is an excellent base for exploring Shanghai, with many of the city’s most famous attractions easily accessible on foot or by public transportation. The room itself was very clean and well maintained. Although it was on the smaller side, it was thoughtfully designed and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Considering the location, cleanliness, and overall convenience, I thought it offered excellent value for the price. Lastly, the hotel staff were exceptionally polite, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. They were always willing to answer questions and assist whenever needed, which made the overall experience even better. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to stay in one of the city’s most convenient locations."
