The room was clean and fresh, with all the amenities you could ask for: a fridge, air conditioning, washing machine, and hairdryer. The service was warm and friendly, and the location was excellent, making it easy to get around. Plus, the famous Wukang Building, a popular photo spot, is right downstairs. Highly recommended for travelers!

It was my birthday, and the front desk lady surprised me with a birthday cake. They also quietly upgraded me to a suite, which was a lovely surprise! When we arrived, there was staff directing us where to drive. After parking, a shuttle took us from the parking lot to the hotel lobby entrance. Someone also personally brought our luggage to the room. The room was very clean and quiet, with the bedroom, living room, and bathroom all separated. I particularly liked the toilet design; it was placed behind the door, which is great for privacy if two people are in a hurry – one can get ready while the other uses the toilet. The door also separates the wet area from the main resting area. Welcome fruit: The fruit was fresh and delicious. My friend ate all the grapes before I even got a chance, haha. Hotel photoshoot: It was beautiful! The photographer guided our poses, and the selection assistant gave very professional advice. When I was little, I used to take a set of photos every birthday to remember the occasion, but I stopped once phones could take pictures. It was a wonderful way to commemorate my birthday this year~ Room service offers wontons and special drinks, which are delivered to your room – very convenient. I didn't get a chance to use the gym or pool, but they looked well-equipped. The hotel courtyard views are also exceptionally beautiful~ It's very close to Wukang Road, so it's convenient to go out and explore.

Very good communication via WeChat about checking in and out procedure, quick response if we needed anything or had questions. Room was very nice, big and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped. Shower was ok, but the water wouldn’t drain well… Overall pleasant stay in the quiet area. Would recommend 👍

We had such a wonderful stay! The place was incredibly cozy, clean, and felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed, making our trip to Shanghai even more enjoyable. The host was exceptionally kind, responsive, and accommodating. They patiently answered all of our questions before and during our stay, and even generously allowed us a late check-out because we weren’t quite done with our shopping. That thoughtful gesture was truly appreciated and made our departure so much more convenient. The location is another huge plus—it’s close to all the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and attractions you’ll want to experience in Shanghai. Getting around was easy, and everything we needed was within reach. We highly recommend staying here and would absolutely book this Airbnb again on our next trip to Shanghai!

This was my second stay, and I've successfully recommended it to my friends too. The hotel has its own garden and is housed in a building from the last century. Despite its age, the hygiene is excellent. The only downside was the showerhead. It's very quiet and super close to Hengshan Road Metro Station. There are several restaurants and cafes nearby, so you could easily spend a leisurely day just exploring the vicinity. All in all, I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai.

Highly recommended 😍 Four years ago, I stumbled upon this hotel, thinking it was an art gallery... the artistic atmosphere was so strong. This time, I brought my kids, and it was still a beautiful experience. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and had a balcony with a stunning window view... It puts you in a good mood, whether it's rainy or sunny. The breakfast was abundant, with both Chinese and Western options, so much so that I couldn't try everything... The location is great, quiet yet close to all the action. You get an immersive experience of Shanghai life; you can get to almost anywhere you want within 10 minutes by subway, walking, or cycling. The front desk staff spoke so gently, fully showcasing the lovely softness of Wuyue speech... It was an exceptionally good trip, and I will definitely come again ❤️

Great value for money! Our flight got canceled due to Typhoon Bailu, so we had to stay an extra night. The host mentioned that many flights were grounded and couldn't reach Shanghai, which is why they had available rooms. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. I'll definitely bring my family here next time we travel. The room can sleep 4 people, making it excellent value.

Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews at all. My experience was excellent from beginning to end. I arrived in the middle of the night, and the 24-hour reception made check-in incredibly easy. The staff was always kind and helpful whenever I needed anything. The room was spotless. Everything was clean, organized, and exactly as it should be. The lighting was great, everything worked perfectly, and the whole hotel felt very well maintained. I had zero issues during my stay. Everything I needed was provided, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. If you’re hesitating because of some of the reviews, don’t let them stop you. This was one of the easiest, most stress-free hotel stays I’ve had.

I've stayed at Blackstone many times, and every visit has been a very pleasant one. The service is excellent! William was incredibly thoughtful; when I mentioned not feeling well, he immediately brought cold medicine and warm water. My friend was also very satisfied. The area around the hotel is great for photos, and all the hotel amenities are clean and hygienic. All in all, it was a very comfortable and heartwarming trip.

My husband and I had a 9-night stay at this apartment and we are very happy with our choice. The place itself was very cosy, we loved the views and the washer/dryer machine worked perfectly. The location was one of our favourite features, with the best cafes and bakeries at under 5 minutes walking distance. Room cleaning was done under request, on the same day and we were never missing anything. We would stay at this apartment again if we revisit Shanghai!
