"The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow!
**Location:** Just a few minutes' walk from Shanghai Railway Station and the subway, not far from the main road. There's a FamilyMart and some restaurants downstairs.
**Facilities:** A proper hotel with an elevator, air conditioning, and self-service laundry. The shower had good hot water. The wooden furniture looked a bit dated but seemed durable and of good quality. It appears to have been renovated, and the renovation quality is decent. However, I have to complain about the Wi-Fi speed – it was excruciatingly slow!
**Soundproofing:** Average; I could hear conversations from the next room.
**Cleanliness:** Relatively clean.
**Environment:** Both inside and out, it was neat and orderly.
**Service:** They proactively offered a room upgrade (perhaps due to fewer guests during the off-season) and could store luggage for us.
**Breakfast:** Although breakfast was included, they actually provided a 15 RMB voucher per person to use at a neighboring restaurant. You pay for what you choose, and anything over 15 RMB needs to be paid out of pocket, which felt a bit like a rip-off. However, if you plan carefully, it's manageable. The breakfast quality was relatively average, but it was available from 6:30 AM, which is convenient for early travelers."

It has free washing machine & dryer to use. Easy to find many kinds of food around the hotel, mini supermarket just beside the hotel, friendly staffs and comfortable beds. Need to note that this hotel might has some few stairs to reach some rooms, so for elderly, make sure to inform them and request rooms to reach without stairs. Overall, a good and recommended hotel to stay in Shanghai."

"The place is in quite bad condition and the staff very unfriendly. I read on Google that they would take your phone to leave a great review with it so I refused to give it to them. He still “needed to take a picture of my booking info because being short sightseeing” but then could read my translation app no problem… The room itself was good and the shuttle came to bring me to the airport (just a couple minutes late). The elevator stops one floor before the rooms so I almost left my suitcase downstairs but all the suitcases there were absolutely empty… it made me feel like they try to have people believe that they can leave they luggage down for the night but not with the best intentions. Regardless, I decided to bring it up and carry it in the stairs to feel better overnight. Cheap and okay room for one night near the airport, that’s all."

Upon check-in, I received a small snack platter. My room was tidied and cleaned every day while I was out. The breakfast had a great variety, fresh ingredients, and tasted delicious. The location is super convenient; Yuanshen Road Station on Metro Line 14 is just diagonally opposite the hotel, about a 400-meter walk from the station entrance. There are also shared bikes right outside the hotel. Overall, it's a great hotel, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Shanghai."

GGuest UserI've stayed in the family room, twin room, and king room at this hotel. The first two are the same size, while the king room's bedroom is a bit smaller than those two. However, the other facilities are just as good, and the beds are equally clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff is meticulous and responsible; they clean the rooms immaculately. The service is friendly, and they're always happy to answer any questions. The front desk staff, Lucky and Steven, are exceptionally good – very professional, responsible, and caring. Oh, and there's also a young, handsome front desk guy who speaks fluent English and can communicate seamlessly with foreign guests. This place truly has hidden gems!

It's been quite cold in Shanghai these past two days, and the hotel staff made sure to turn on the air conditioning in advance. There are daily shuttle services to Disneyland and the airport, which is incredibly convenient. Plus, there are restaurants and a supermarket just 20 meters from the hotel, making daily life very easy.

Llulu333100% recommend!!! I always stay in this hotel whenever I come to Shanghai! It's in a great area of the city and right across the road from Changshu Lu subway station (which has two subway lines on).
The hotel has many rooms and is spread out on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors of the building. Which means that there are incredible views of the city! I recommend paying a little extra and getting the room with a window, just for the view!
The rooms are very clean with amazing bedding and pillows. You also have a personal TV, aircon, toiletries pack, bottle of water and slippers etc. There are water filter machines on each floor and usually free tea on the lobby floor. The staff are there 24 hours at the front desk, so you can check in anytime. The bathrooms are always really clean, and the cleaning ladies are always in out, making sure everything is nice.
Bonus: The famous SYSTEM night club is also in the same building (around 3rd floor). So you can party and then go up to your room on the 19th floor!

WWenxiaomoxywThe hotel is quite old; the facilities really show their age. I wouldn't recommend buying access to the executive lounge – it's a total rip-off, seriously. There are no freshly cooked hot dishes, and the lunch selection is incredibly sparse. On the second day, I went up to the 52nd floor for breakfast because I just couldn't face the lounge again. The room amenities are also quite dated. During evening turndown service, they only replenished the water and toiletries, but didn't even restock the toothpaste. On the positive side, the staff at the executive lounge and the front desk were all very friendly. Parking is also self-paid. It cost me 188 RMB for one night, though I used IFC points to cover 80 RMB of that.

HHunter Jackson TonyI booked the Novotel Shanghai Pudong Kangqiao for my classmates visiting Shanghai this time, and the experience absolutely exceeded expectations – I have to give it a glowing review!
First off, its biggest highlight is the location. It's incredibly close to Disney! The hotel offers a dedicated free shuttle bus to Disney, which takes about ten minutes. This saves the hassle of taking a taxi or the subway, making it super convenient for those who want to get to the park early for queuing. Plus, the hotel also provides airport transfer services. My classmates were able to take the hotel's car directly from the airport, saving them the trouble of lugging luggage around and navigating, which was incredibly stress-free.
I booked a family room for the three girls, and the space was very generous, not at all cramped. The beds were also just the right size and very comfortable to sleep in. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable; it was spotless, which made their stay very reassuring.
The hotel environment is also excellent. The decor is modern and elegant, and the common areas are great for photos. My classmates mentioned that the lobby had a lovely fragrance, and the check-in process was very smooth.
I must give a special shout-out to the service here. From communication during the booking process to fulfilling various needs during their stay, the staff were responsive and enthusiastic. My classmates accidentally left something in the room, and when they contacted the hotel, it was quickly found and safely kept, which made them feel very reassured.
The only minor detail is that some facilities might not be the newest models, but they are very well-maintained and completely functional, not affecting the overall experience.
All in all, this was a very successful booking experience. Whether it was the location, room comfort, or service level, everything was impeccable. It's especially suitable for friends visiting Disney – highly recommended! If I have friends coming to Shanghai again, I'll definitely choose this place!

GGuest UserSuch a delightful and comfortable stay! This was my first time experiencing a Banyan Tree property, and it was truly a unique experience. The overall color scheme is on the darker side, but when combined with the various aromatherapy scents, it creates a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere. The pillow menu was comprehensive, and there was even an aromatherapy menu to choose from – I picked the sweet orange, which smelled absolutely lovely.
The front desk mentioned an upgrade to a room with an even better view, and they weren't kidding. The Oriental Pearl Tower and the 'Three-piece set' (referring to the three iconic skyscrapers) looked like a giant painting hanging right outside the window – simply stunning!
Both the à la carte and buffet breakfast options were delicious.
The service was also excellent. We had a WeChat concierge add us in advance, and we could ask questions throughout our stay. Cynthia and Deslin were fantastic!
