We have been traveling across China with 2 families for 5+ days (in this hotel 5 days). What I would like to admit is how the service is good (like the reception people are literally so friendly and welcoming, they always greeted us, helped us all the time and did everything they could) and the breakfast is amazing! (So many international people, multiculturalism). About the hotel: it was amazing too. The rooms are very cozy, nice, warm (they have a/c). The view was especially good, we had a nice view at the calm life of Shanghai and palm trees lol. The beds are comfy, warm. They do laundry by themselves, have free fruits from 15:00-16:00, foot massage. The reception helps with anything, I asked them for a latte coffee and pair of chopsticks at 3 am (they found it). The location is nice too, there is a subway station nearby (I had rode rent bikes every morning to subway). Overall, the hotel is very nice, with the best service from staff.

I’ve been visiting The Peninsula for a decade, and it’s a magnificent hotel. The location is brilliant, the indoor pool is one of the best in the world, the spa team is phenomenal. Yet on this recent visit, the service, while quite good, wasn’t the sort of impeccable, seamless joy one hopes for: the early staffing for breakfast was limited, without a dedicated host to welcome and seat guests; I realize it was a Saturday night on a holiday weekend, but a twenty minute wait just to be able to order room service is a bit much; over half of the deserts on the menu were unavailable. The room is wonderfully comfortable as always, fantastic housekeeping and amenities—I do hope they can get back to the very high bar they’ve set for themselves across all of their hotels. Plus truly stunning views if you’re in a river view room.

Our stay in this hotel was excellent. It surpassed our expectations on every level. The rooms were big, clean and the beds were comfortable. We booked the hotel with the breakfast included and we loved it all three of including our 7 year old daughter. In other hotels in Shanghai we did not like the breakfast but this really was amazing. They served at breakfast a variety of food such as croissants in different flavours, in the moment made sushi, cakes, sausages, a variety of chinese food and lots more. We were not let down at all. The service in the hotel was great as well, they called is a taxi when needed and used the shuttle service to the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is very good, just next to IFC mall and some shopping centres nearby. We stayed for 3 nights for our anniversary and the staff upgraded us to a room facing the Bund view. The room is nice, spacious and clean. Special thanks to Rosy for taking care of our needs and bringing us a delicious cake to celebrate. Overall, it was such a pleasant stay and we will be staying in Ritz Carlton again when we come to Shanghai.

His willingness to help at such a late hour, coupled with his calm and professional attitude, truly reflects the high standards of service associated with Waldorf Astoria. Please extend my heartfelt thanks to Jude — his dedication did not go unnoticed and made a stressful situation much easier to manage. 我想特别表扬 Waldorf Astoria 礼宾部的 Jude。尽管已是凌晨12点，他仍非常耐心并主动协助我处理寄错地址的包裹，服务专业又贴心。这样的敬业精神让我深受感动，也充分体现了贵酒店一贯的高水准服务。 The other team members in the concierge department also did a helpful job with our baggage. It’s just unfortunate that I can’t have my Meituan food delivery sent by the hotel staff directly to my room. This was inconvenient but I understand the food and hygiene aspects that they uphold. Generally, a pleasant stay with best location. The bund view is just too awesome!
