The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it is very close to the airport. It is very convenient to take an early flight. There is a free car to pick up and drop off the airport. It only takes two or three minutes to drive from the hotel to the airport, and it may take 10 minutes if you walk. There is only a shuttle bus to the airport on the hour in the morning in winter. However, the hotel's facilities do need to be updated and maintained. It feels relatively old, but overall I am satisfied.

Super value for money and recommend this place.
Modern and clean, spacious room
Short ride from main railway station
Daily free water bottle, daily house keeping.
Breakfast is plenty, lots of choices and different menu everyday.
Laundry room with full amenities for free usage, including detergent.
Places to eat at nearby.
Receptionists are welcoming.
Free tanghulu upon arrival.
Only thing is heating in winter January is not as warm in the room ( which is also the same in general in china). But the blankets are so warm.
Pillow is also on soft side
Overall, it's super value for money and definitely recommend it.
It is the off-season for tourism now, so the price is relatively affordable, but the overall cost is not low at all. The hotel is located at the junction of Harbin and Acheng. There is no supporting facilities around it, only a bus station, which makes it inconvenient to eat and relax. There are several main buildings of the hotel, but only one is open this year, which is quite desolate.
Facilities: The internal structure of the hotel is OK, but the lights are not turned on. The interior of the house is also good, but the disposable items are the supporting facilities of an economy hotel. There is no coffee, welcome fruit, and only two bottles of mineral water.
Hygiene: The overall hygiene is OK, and there is dirt in the corners regardless of the room.
Environment: The environment is good, but the supporting facilities are too poor.
Service: The service is OK overall. There are relatively few breakfast items. What is surprising is that there is a special person to watch the eggs. Each person takes one. The eggs were pulled away by the waiter before they were finished. Maybe they handled it internally.

The hotel I stayed in this time really surprised me! The location is very close to the airport, the hotel provides free airport pick-up, the room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, and people can get a good rest. The facilities are also complete, and all kinds of daily necessities are available. The hotel service is first-class. The staff is warm and friendly, the service is thoughtful, and any problems can be solved in time. In short, this hotel left a deep impression on me and is highly recommended!

Xin Yuhang, the employee that works in Sun Castle Resort Hotel is really nice, helpful and friendly, helps us with the difficulties we had throughout our stay there. Because of our language barriers , he was patience to translate it to us and despite the crowd that kept coming in and making him busy, he handle one by one with class, professionalism, and each person's help. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel and holiday in Harbin. Thank you so much for making our stay a great one. We'll rate this 10/10

This time I chose the newly renovated Grand Hyatt:
✅ Advantages: Thoughtful service and first-class facilities
1. **Warm and meticulous service**: The concierge took the initiative to help with luggage and guide the elevator. The front desk check-in was efficient, and the staff always kept smiling, which made people feel very considerate. Master Xia also helps with the elevator buttons and luggage, which is a thumbs up.
2. **Brand new and clean guest rooms**: The rooms are modernly decorated, the bedding is comfortable, the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, there is no odor, and the overall hygiene conditions are excellent.
3. **Rich and diverse breakfast**: The buffet has a complete variety of Chinese and Western options, including the local specialty tofu pudding and four kinds of porridge. It is very rich and the taste is above standard.
4. The gym is fully equipped and the experience is excellent. There is also a self-service laundry room which is very convenient!
❌ Areas for improvement
1. **The attitude of the breakfast noodle cooking staff is average**: The staff at the noodle cooking stall had no expression on their faces, their tone was stiff, and they even seemed impatient, which was inconsistent with the overall high-end service standards of the hotel.
2. **Room cleaning is not detailed enough**: When I returned to the room the next day, I found that the garbage in the room had not been cleaned up, and the used coffee cups had not been replaced. The detail management needs to be strengthened.
3. **Lack of makeup mirror**: As a high-end hotel, the bathroom does not have a makeup mirror with light, which is not very friendly to guests.
4. **Bathrobes were not replaced in a timely manner**: Bathrobes were not replaced proactively during the consecutive stay. It is recommended to increase daily replacement or provide replacement options.
5. When checking the hotel's existing self-service laundry guide, it was found that the English version contained many errors in expression, grammatical problems and inappropriate wording, which may affect the correct use of international guests. I hope to use a professional website to make corrections to ensure that the message is clear, professional and in line with international common expressions.
**Summarize**
The overall experience is good, the hardware and services are mostly satisfactory. I hope the hotel can strengthen training or adjust staff to improve these small details. I will still give priority to staying next time!

The hotel environment is good, but generally speaking it does not match the level of the hotel. First of all, in terms of hygiene, when I entered the room, I found hair in the leaking position of the bathroom, and there was dust on the bedside and cabinet glass in the room. Secondly, there is the attitude of the waiters. The attitude of some waiters is not as good as that of the waiters in a B&B, and it is still a four-star hotel. Another problem is the way of handling the problem. When I reported the hair problem to the hotel, the hotel did not respond at all and just took it away.
The room was clean and tidy, and my mother and I were very satisfied. The mattress was not hard but had good support, which ensured the quality of sleep. The supporting facilities were also relatively complete, so I didn't have to carry toiletries with me. When I opened the window, I could see the green that made me feel comfortable physically and mentally. The air was very high in negative oxygen ions, and it was indeed a natural oxygen bar. I had a lot of fun this time and I will come again next time.

Located on Gogol Street, the location is very good, whether taking the bus, subway or online car-hailing, it is very convenient. The electrical facilities are a bit old, but they can meet the needs of use. The service is very good, warm and patient. There is no pre-made noodle stall for breakfast, but hot dishes, cold dishes, noodles and pastries are all available, especially hot dishes, which are very rich, boiled shrimp, fried pork tenderloin and roasted chicken nuggets... Qiulin Company and Songlei Commercial are nearby, and it is also very convenient to go shopping and eat.

Excellent
WWei MinOverall this is one of the best hotels i have stayed in. Rich cultural history and uniqueness. I shall put the negative part first before I put the positives at the end.
Cleanliness I marked down because someone before me put flowers into the bathtub and there were random roses petals coming out of the knob that controlled the drainage of the bath tub. There were stains on the bathtub too.
Location I put 5 but actually I would rate it 4.5. The street that the hotel is on is extremely crowded and jam in the late mornings to night. It is highly likely that you will be dropped off near the entrance of the street and need to walk in if you cab. We decided to use public transport and walk in instead on the second time we came to the hotel. But early in the morning it was relatively empty and the cab could come in to pick us up. It is very near the walking streets / zhong yang jie. There was an event literally outside our hotel area. Got a chimney bread plus ice cream on the same street as the hotel but is diagonally on the opposite right.
This booking is for a lower tired room. But when we went there we were offered discounted upgrades. Not free but at least it wasn't the price stated. We upgraded to the highest tier, a suite with dedicated sitting area and bathtub.
Celebrated my birthday here. They prepared a cake. It was delicious 😋
Many costumes to try but most were too big. For reference i am 152cm 48kg. I managed to find a blue and white costume with a matching hat that was more fitting so I could wear it out of the hotel room to take photos in the reception area. The toilet staircase, the chairs in the reception, outside the elevator, a backyard and the restaurant are nice places for photo taking.
The ancient elevator closes at 5pm. I am not sure when it opens.
The restaurant had a promotion on dianping or douyin. Recommended for 4 people. But portions are typically huge and if only 2 people come likely to waste. We met another couple on our trip and we decided to share. Non hotel guests can eat in the restaurant too.
Just before we left, we had a door gift too^^

YYburnnavoyagesMy friend and I had the pleasure of staying at Grand Mercure hotel in Harbin, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we entered, I was struck by the spotlessly clean surroundings and the comfortable feeling that enveloped us. The high ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the ambiance, making it feel a luxury 5-star accommodation, all at a budget-friendly price.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the comfortable bed and fresh linens. I had the best sleep and woke up feeling refreshed, as if I had slept like a baby. The attention to detail in ensuring a comfortable sleep experience was truly commendable.
The hotel staff deserves special mention for their exceptional service. Despite some language barriers, they went above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and provide accurate information. I vividly remember ALAN CHEN or Chan, although I'm unsure of the exact spelling of his name. He was always attentive to our concerns and questions, taking the time to communicate and ensure we received the correct directions. Their dedication and willingness to assist made a lasting impression on me.
In terms of location, the hotel was conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easily accessible from the airport which is around 45mins or less.
The ride took less than 10 minutes to reach the high-speed railway station from the hotel. However, I must mention that there weren't many convenient shops in the immediate vicinity, which might be a minor inconvenience for some travelers.
Our only issue during our stay was the room temperature, which was quite warm. Despite adjusting the thermostat, we couldn't achieve a comfortable coolness. We resorted to opening the window slightly to let in some fresh air, but leaving it open throughout the night posed the risk of catching a cold. It would be highly beneficial if the hotel could consider providing a humidifier, as the air in the room felt excessively dry.
Overall, my stay at this hotel was truly amazing. The cleanliness of the hotel, the exceptional staff, and the convenient location all contributed to a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Harbin and would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit. The management may want to look into improving the room temperature control and addressing the dryness in the air to ensure an even more pleasant stay for future guests.

GGuest UserWe spent three nights in this hotel and found it to be a little further from everything we wanted to see and do, but that did not make our stay any less pleasant. The staff were attentive and incredibly friendly. The hotel looks out on a lovely pond that is frozen sold in winter and covered with a thick layer of snow. A perfect playground for young and old alike. Catching a Didi from the hotel is also fairly easy as it isn’t stuck right in the centre of the ice festival activities.

SSoudsathit VandixayWe had a lovely stay at Xana, staff do not speak English but it was not an issue at all, they were very helpful and took good care of us and our needs, while using a translation app to talk to each other. The room was not that large but functional and clean, bed is comfy, bathroom and toilet were clean and there was a free afternoon tea at the lobby with delish cookies and fruits. The location is top notch, right in front of Zhaolin park and just 1 mn walk to the commercial Zhongyang street and just 5 mn away from Songhua river, park. If you use DIDI TRAVEL on the Alipay app, the location of this hotel should be spelled as ”Xi'an Deluxe Hotel..”
Overall, it was a lovely experience for us staying at Xana and would recommend to our friends if they travel to Harbin

OOtautahianWe chose this hotel because there is a TCM place literally on the opposite side of the block and my sister could get acupuncture there.
All the staff were friendly, the hotel was modern and bright, and it was easy to get taxis outside.
My sister especially enjoyed the breakfast bigger because there was a lot of dongbei food and the hot dishes changed every day. While we were there (Spring Festival) there were free snacks at reception, like hulutang, frozen pears, egg tarts.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and tidy, the boss is very welcoming, and the room is super warm! I came to Erbin by myself and lived very comfortably. WWatcharinThe hotel is located just 150 meter far from the walking street. We are not happy with the room we stayed. During booking, we found that the room has a window. We then understand that there should be a view to be seen. The view is completly blocked by other big building which is located just 2 meter far from windows. The hotel should clearly indicate that. As foreigner, we need 3G 5G signal to connect to google facebook youtube using international sim. Unfortunately, rhe signal is very poor. Wifi is ok. Using wifi, google is blocked in China. We not happy with the room. Not recomend for foreigner.

GGuest UserA very good express hotel, just the way I like it, clean and refreshing. I booked a double room, which was not big but enough. The best thing is that although the room is at the end of the corridor, it is not like some express hotels that have to walk a long distance, but it is very safe and comfortable to reach the elevator. The room soundproofing and sanitary facilities are very satisfactory. And it is also very convenient to book and check out.
The room is on a big road called Maimai Street, which is convenient for transportation. It is adjacent to the First Hospital and there are food a few steps away. Here are a few pictures, the first one is outside the hotel window, and the second one is the ice sculpture of the nearby Zhaolin Park.

CCris RuffoloI love the location of this hostel. It was just right across the Zhongyang Street subway stop (Line 2). If you go to the Ice and Snow World Park, that's only three stops away for only, if I remember right, RMB 2. Make sure to read/check the other reviews for photos of the gate that will lead you to the door of this hostel. I arrived in the morning, about 10 a.m., and was welcomed by JP. After sorting out my things, I left my luggage to head to the Ice and Snow World Park where I stayed until 5 p.m.
I took the subway back to Zhongyang Street. I planned on walking from there to Saint Sophia Cathedral but it was too cold for me. I live in Beijing but I am originally from the Philippines so even if I was dressed warm - thermal clothes, hot packs, several layers, downjacket, scarves, beanies, ear muffs - it was still brrrr cold!
I took a Didi car from there to the cathedral and spent about 30 minutes there and then went back to the hostel. There was a social night going on downstairs but I was so beat that day I just decided to rest. I briefly interacted with a lady from Singapore named Megan.
The following day, I walked from the hostel to Hongzhuan Morning Market which is a culture of its own. Come hungry and happy! From there, I took a Didi to go to the No. 6 factory of Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Holding Co. It is dubbed as the ”Louvre of the East” but having visited the Louvre itself, it doesn't really come close. I think the moniker just came from the fact that there are several paintings and art collection in the building and the area outside feels a bit like you're in Europe.
Another Didi ride got me to Lao Daowai or the Chinese Baroque Street then another Didi to Central Street. Don't miss these two as they are filled with worthy buildings and spots to marvel, photograph of or buy trinkets from.
Harbin was the last stop of my northeastern China winter sojourn. Will I come back? Maybe. Will I stay in this hostel? Maybe.
I like the arrangement of the beds in this 16-people dorm for girls but the bathroom is a squat toilet and I don't like that. If I ever stay here again, I will choose the rooms with Western-style toilets.

JJeremy88I checked in very late at night and the front desk girl named Yue kindly shared me a piece of cake. She was very helpful in answering my questions too. Overall the ambience was good and I managed to hangout with few of our hostel mates to share meals cuz dongbei's food portion is really insanely huge compared to the southern China. Not to mention the location is really superb. Literally stone throw away from the train station.
