"The hotel is in a good location, very close to the beach, only 200-300 meters away on foot, close to Yuya Avenue and convenient transportation, you can take many bus lines to travel. "The hotel was a great option among local hotels of similar prices. It had a swimming pool. The only shortcoming was that it seemed understaffed. For example, when we checked in, there was only one young male manager surnamed Yang at the reception desk, who had to be busy dealing with many guests at one time. Overall, the stay was pleasant."

"Hotel room is very clean and staffs are really friendly . They went the extra mile to help us order MeiTuan as we do not have local line. You can order TaoBao and deliver here before you touch down in Sanya . At the reception , they have a small drawer which can provide you plasters , scotch tape etc . Hotel is located opposite to Yiheng Nightmarket . Hotel has 17 floor , so do expect a little more waiting timing for the lifts ."

"For the second leg of my Hainan birthday trip, I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Sanya. I booked a Guestroom with Courtyard-View, hoping for a luxurious and relaxing experience. The location is stunning—surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the South China Sea. It’s a bit secluded, which adds to the tranquility, but the hotel offers shuttle services to nearby attractions. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff greeted me with a warm welcome. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. We had to wait by the cafe as our room wasn't ready despite requesting for an early check in. in advance. However, they surprised me with a birthday setup in the room, complete with decorations and a cake! The room itself was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed, and stocked with high-quality toiletries, including full-sized lotion, bath salts and a Dyson hairdryer. The complimentary mini-bar with fruits and drinks was a lovely touch, and I appreciated the free photoshoot service around the resort. The in-house food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread, which featured lobster wonton and an assortment of pastries. The resort also offered a shuttle service to the city center, which was convenient. However, there were a few downsides. The air conditioner was weak, so we ended up sleeping with the terrace open. The pools weren’t as clean as I expected—there were leaves and insects floating on the cool pool and sand in the heated pool. The checkout process was painfully slow, causing us to miss our train back to Haikou. Additionally, the lobby toilet were shockingly dirty, which was disappointing for a hotel of this caliber. Overall, for the price, I expected better maintenance and management. But I would say that it's on par with most resort around the world."

"Our stay at the Westin Hotel was wonderful, special thanks especially to Lila, our room assistant. She promptly responded to all my inquiries and provided excellent recommendations for places to visit in Sanya. I’d also like to extend my gratitude to Calvin Han. He is super friendly and helpful, answered all my questions and even gave us suggestions on where to go with children. Definitely went above and beyond his role, providing exceptional service! Cuiye Yuan, our housekeeper, kept our room spotless every day & greeted us every morning. The entire staff was incredibly helpful. We will definitely return to the Westin Hotel in the near future. Thank you again for the yummy coconuts and fruit platters!"

"There’s nothing to complain about this gorgeous hotel. From check in to check out, the service was fantastic on the hotel’s end. They take care of the luggage as you get off the car. After checking in, the staff walked us to our room and explained where everything was and to contact her if we needed anything. They made sure we had the right size robes and slippers for the kids and sent us a welcome fruit basket. The view was breathtaking. Beds and linens were soft and comfortable. The restaurants gave excellent service as well. Room service was fantastic. The water park food stalls are the only ones that were rude. The only other complaint I have is the staff that works at the breakfast buffet. When other restaurant guests cut in line, they still serve them instead of telling them to get in line. It’s a big culture shock as 9 out of 10 people here don’t get in line unless the staff insists and not serve them. The water park could use clearer signs. And some slides were closed due to staff shortage. That was a bit disappointing. The hotel swimming pool is beautiful. Night swimming was one of my son’s favorite part of the trip. We did the beluga whale encounter and it was so worth it. The staffs were really nice. That definitely made an unforgettable trip. At the end, the hotel even left us a gift of 2 stuff animal whales. So happy they gave us 2 so my kids can each have one. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to Sanya. FYI, you’re going to need translation app if you don’t speak Chinese because other than the staff that was assigned to help us, nobody speaks or understands English."

"Location: the hotel is near the airport so it’s a great option if you want to catch an early flight. It’s also very close to the beach. The beach here is totally different than in other parts of Sanya. It’s less crowded. We enjoyed a little run at night along the seaside. Service: smooth check-in and check-out (we checked out at 5am and then got DiDi to the airport). Cleanliness: our room and the bathroom were super clean. The whole area amongst the villas is beautiful. It’s a peaceful surrounding where you can relax. The swimming pool was working as well. Amenities: the lobby area looks newly renovated and the rooms are also nice. It’s a great value for money. I can definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some cheaper accommodation options or want to catch an early flight."

"The overall environment is quiet and suitable for living with children and the elderly. The location of the hotel is slightly off. If you live there, it is recommended to drive by yourself. There is a farmer's market and fruit market in Linwang Community about 10 minutes' drive away. The price is reasonable and it is the living circle of local people. The hotel has complete supporting facilities and the service is also in place. There is a slight smell in the cabinets in the room, but it does not affect living. I saw the hotel pictures and found that the kitchen has a stove and cooking utensils. In fact, there is no gas appliances. You can rent an induction cooker 7-piece set to cook by yourself. In addition, it is said in the comments that the hotel will send children's toiletries. I don't know if this customer is a VIP or if there will be activities in the hotel. I also contacted the hotel in advance to emphasize that two children's toiletries are needed. As a result, we only got a small tube of China toothpaste (the finger-sized toothpaste that is usually used in hotels for daily use) and a toothbrush that is one size smaller, that's all. The comments are inconsistent with reality. If you have brushed the comments of the VIP, please pay attention to whether the actual situation is consistent. The main feature of breakfast is that you can eat enough, freshly cooked noodles are OK, and the quality of eggs is also good. Others are neither good nor bad."

"I was very pleased when I arrived at the J-Hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. The pool and thermal springs are lovely and clean and there is a selection of restaurants. I thought the location was good because it’s central between all main tourist attractions, and is a 5 min walk from coconut corridor and the beach!"
