THE YARD HOTEL BEIJING, Tian'anmen Square
9.4 (7,187 reviews)

THE YARD HOTEL BEIJING, Tian'anmen Square ★★★

📍 No. 26, Buxiangzi Hutong, Dongcheng District, Beijing

"⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5) The Yard Hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Qianmen Street and several metro stations. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping was good, and the room was generally clean. Unfortunately, the hotel has a noticeable maintenance problem. The bathroom needed attention: there was mould and rust around the shower, stained silicone, limescale on the bathtub fittings, and some worn finishes that detracted from the overall impression. These are details that should be addressed in a hotel of this standard. Another disappointment was the reception service. We needed assistance with transportation and local information several times, but the staff were not particularly helpful or proactive. International travellers often depend on the reception team, and a , more customer-oriented attitude would have improved our stay. Overall, The Yard Hotel is a good choice because of its excellent location and comfortable rooms. However, better maintenance and more attentive reception service would make it a much better hotel"

"I recently stayed at the Beijing Miyun Hiseaton Resort with my child, and the overall experience was fantastic – a truly healing family getaway in the Beijing suburbs, definitely worthy of a five-star recommendation! The hotel is built into the hillside, nestled within a forest oxygen bar. The environment is serene and peaceful, with fresh and pleasant air, far from the city's hustle and bustle. It's perfectly suited for both relaxation and family trips. What pleasantly surprised me the most was the exceptional service provided by our dedicated butler, Ethan. He was professional and incredibly thoughtful, making the entire experience outstanding! Before we even arrived, Ethan proactively contacted me to meticulously confirm our check-in needs and arranged the room perfectly in advance. Knowing we were traveling with a child, he thoughtfully prepared a full set of children's toiletries, a lovely and very heartwarming detail. After check-in, Ethan patiently and thoroughly introduced us to the hotel's entire environment, various amenities, and activity guides. His explanations were clear and comprehensive, allowing us to quickly familiarize ourselves with the hotel's layout. He was also incredibly considerate, proactively helping us book special hotel activities and a relaxing spa session, tailored to our itinerary. We didn't have to worry about any arrangements; his service was attentive and efficient. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including forest hot springs, a super-sized children's playground, a constant-temperature swimming pool, and recreational sports facilities – all catering to both adults' relaxation and children's entertainment. Our room was clean, tidy, and offered expansive views, making our stay extremely comfortable. The overall service was meticulous, and the experience was superb. Ethan's professional, thoughtful, and proactive service made our entire holiday feel incredibly warm and comforting. From the environment and facilities to the service, everything was impeccable. This is a hidden gem of a resort in the Beijing suburbs that's worth revisiting. I've already recommended it to friends and family, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again for our next vacation!"

"Super location near airport T2 for a brief overnight stay but no shop or amenity within walking distance; Good complementary airport shuttle (operationally 24hrs) as hotel is located not accessible by walking from airport terminal despite it is near T2; Airport pickup at either T2 or T3 is upon request by call (Internet call or VoIP via Trip.com) after collecting baggage with instruction of location to wait (our case .. level 4 gate 12); however airport dropoff is on hourly schedule (at xx:00); Room for 3pax as booked come with a double bed in a separate room & 2x single beds in living area."

"Quite quiet, about a 15-minute drive from T3. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the airport every hour. Drop-offs are pretty convenient, but the pick-up times can be a bit hit-or-miss. The cleanliness wasn't very thorough, but the service attitude was excellent."

VOYAGE INTERNATIONAL HOTEL (Capital Airport New National Exhibition Store) ★★★★
"Facilities: Comprehensive Hygiene: Good Environment: Very quiet Service: Exceptionally attentive When I booked on Ctrip, I thought the price was quite cheap, so I expected the service might be compromised. However, when I arrived at the hotel late at night, the front desk staff warmly checked me in. They even offered me a late check-out because I was worried about oversleeping. In the morning, as soon as I stepped out of the elevator, a front desk staff member came over to greet me and patiently asked if I was going to the airport or elsewhere. They also gave me a farewell gift upon check-out. Overall, the service at this price point far exceeded my expectations."

"Overall, for this price in Beijing, it's a really good deal. The bedding and cleanliness are also excellent, making it highly recommendable. The only downside is the shower pressure is too low, and the water flow is tiny, which makes showering a bit of a hassle. Sometimes it's also hard to adjust the hot and cold water."

"The staff came to pick us up at the airport however they were speaking mandarin on the phone when we called to be picked up. Luckily the shuttle bus was already there if not we would have had a problem. The room was clean and the location is great, next to local restaurants. a KFC and supermarket. Also the staff was kind and had a translation tool. However something weird happened on the first night when we took a shower the phone ringed in our room and it was a staff speaking in mandarin and translating in English that was saying we were smoking in the room and they would called the police 👮♀️ We had to explain it must have been the shower fog that was triggering the smoking detector and then she said ok good night 💤 However it was frightening you don’t want to deal with the police while travelling, especially not in China !!!"
