The Hotel Athena is perfectly located for exploring Athens, with professional, attentive and efficient staff. Rooms are immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed for actual use, avoiding common irritations such as unnecessary and unhygienic cushions cluttering the bed or the pointless tucking of the duvet at the sides. The breakfast room on the 10th floor is a real highlight, serving a generous spread of continental and cooked options alongside impressive views of the Acropolis. A perfect choice for visitors prioritising location and unpretentious hospitality.

The hotel's location is excellent; there's a bus stop right outside, and it's only about a 10-minute, two-stop ride to Syntagma Square. The cleanliness was good, and the hotel provided various toiletries and slippers, though there wasn't a toothbrush. For service, breakfast offered about ten different items, and the taste was decent. They had authentic Greek yogurt and freshly made coffee that was delicious. The biggest surprise was the bar on the top floor of the hotel, which offers stunning views of the Acropolis. It's a great spot to enjoy the scenery and order drinks.

I was happy that we were able to check in earlier than 3pm. Location was excellent because it's located in the middle of Monasteraki and Syntagma. Surrounded by varieties of restaurants and shopping areas.

A very good hotel to stay when travelling with kids. We were given an amazingly large room. The roof top breakfast bar was amazing, in terms of the view and food. Note: Another family who booked with us (with just 1 kid), for a slightly cheaper price, were given a much smaller, shabbier room with ground floor breakfast options which was not too good. So make sure you have clarity on that before confirming the booking.

Absolutely perfect stay at Utopia Emou Hotel! We had an incredible experience at this wonderful hotel in Greece. First of all, the location couldn’t be better – right in the heart of everything, yet peaceful and charming. The breakfast was a lovely surprise – not only was it included, but it was served on the top floor with the most breathtaking view of the Greek temple (the Acropolis / Parthenon view is simply unmatched!). Enjoying our morning coffee while looking at that ancient masterpiece was truly a ”no better” moment. To make things even more special, the hotel gave us a corner room – and it had the best view possible. From sunrise to sunset, we couldn’t stop admiring the scenery. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a magical stay in Greece. We will definitely come back!

The apartment and the rooms are very clean and new, surprisingly there has air conditioning. All facilities are working properly and the self- service is convenient. The only inconvenience which is the location is a bit far away from metro and bus station. Overall, it’s recommended☺️

Nice hotel, nice country, nice staffs, but minus one star for surrounding. Omonia smell like ammonia. No wifi for my stay. So no YouTube, no news for me to watch on tv. Big disappointment for that. Breakfast at 8th floor good view but only 7-10am. Such a waste because I couldn’t see sunrise nor sunset as 8th floor is closed. Should open for guests to have outdoor view at night there.

Our 2-night stay at this hotel in Athens was satisfying in terms of facilities and cleanliness, even though the location wasn't the best. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've arrived at a truly nice hotel. The view from its balcony makes you feel that you're exactly in Athens as it looks towards its streets. The receptionist was helpful and provided a luggage storage area for us on our check-out day. It met our expectations and I would recommend it, but keep in mind that it's located in the backstreets of Athens. You are likely to encounter homeless people and some sketchy individuals, so just be aware of the surroundings before booking. Thanks!

The hotel is an overall nice hotel in a very nice area, surrounded by quite a few good restaurants. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. However, the rooms have pretty old furniture, almost zero electricity plugs in the room (and the one next to my bed stopped working the second day).Ii would recommend putting a normal hairdryer in every room instead of the old wall-hairdryer that's in the bathroom, it is inconvenient to use (gets very hot) and it is very slow.

Lovely little hotel with helpful staff. The train station is across the road from the hotel, which is very handy. The room was spacious enough for me. It got cleaned most days. The hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk to the main attractions (or you can just get on a train). I just googled places and walked everywhere. Never felt in danger walking around (that includes night time, too). There are a couple of mini supermarkets around the corner from the hotel with a variety of different things (fresh produce, etc). My room had a nice view of the city, and the sun was shining on my balcony most of the day, I could watch sunset (see photo) My ONLY negative was the smoking. The cleaner would smoke in her cleaning room, and when I got fresh towels, they smelt of cigarettes. Smoke travels, and I always knew when she had arrived or when she was smoking. I noticed that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, but other guests were smoking on their balcony. Other than that, I had a nice, clean, and relaxing stay here. I would stay here again, super cheap and cheerful.
