We had a truly wonderful Christmas Eve stay at The Lowry Hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. My husband and I booked a random night away. We are very pleased we selected the Edwardian in Manchester as it exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and tidy. The spa pool area was lovely and relaxing (our children were with their grandparents so we swam at child free times). It was a shame to see people playing on their phones in the spa area. I was not really concerned about filming etc. However, it was sad to see they couldn't just switch off from the world for an hour or so in that location. We didn't eat in the hotel and got breakfast on the go as we were heading to work in the morning. We chose to spend the little time we had in the morning in the pool rather than at breakfast. We would normally have booked breakfast but as we had to get to the office for 9am we picked the more interesting opinion. We would happily book again.

[Manchester Airport Hotel | Convenient and Clean, but the lack of an in-room phone and having to go down to the lobby is a real pain!] This place is super convenient if you're just looking to catch a flight or a train, but some small details really bring down the score. The Good: Top-notch location: Perfect for those catching early flights or making connections! It’s incredibly close to both the airport and the train station, just a few steps away. You won't even break a sweat dragging a big suitcase, and that's truly unbeatable. Clean and simple room: The room hygiene was well-maintained, clean and tidy. The decor is simple and comfortable, and the bed was pretty good for sleeping. Overall, it's a decent place to stay. The Bad: The iron was broken: I wanted to iron a shirt only to find out the steam iron was broken and completely unusable. The maintenance of the facilities is just average. No phone in the room! This is truly the most infuriating part! There was absolutely no phone in the room. If you wanted to contact the front desk or housekeeping for help (e.g., to replace a broken iron), you couldn't call anyone. To solve any problem, you had to personally take the elevator down to the lobby to find someone. Going up and down and running around was incredibly inconvenient and a huge waste of time. Summary: If you're just looking for a convenient and clean place to sleep for a night before catching a flight, this hotel is worth considering. However, be prepared that if anything in your room breaks, you'll have to go down to the lobby in person for assistance.

This hotel is super convenient, just a two-minute walk from Deansgate station, and close to other city center attractions like the art gallery and library. It used to be Manchester's tallest building, and it still offers decent views. They provide free breakfast; while the variety isn't huge, both the taste and quality are good. The room isn't very big, but the view from the window is nice. I really liked the scent of the shower gel and lotion. My only minor complaint is that the shower stall is a bit small.

Hotel near Manchester Airport. Hilton hotels are always a guarantee of polite staff, but this hotel needs a renovation. It's very outdated and old-fashioned. In the room, there was no minibar, no complimentary water, no notepad, and no pen. Dinner and breakfast were good.

No signage on how to get to the hotel from the tram. Lots of construction so it’s all different to what it will probably end up being and this has not been addressed by the hotel to put up temporary signage even. Frustrating & unpleasant experience checking in. Got to the room and it’s not made up so had to go back to reception and we were given another room. THEN when I asked the doorman where I would need to meet the uber driver to get our meal and was told the driver would be sent through. This was never the case. I had to speed walk to the opposite side of the stadium to meet a very upset uber driver. The only thing our experience had going for it was the location. There wasn’t even a microwave in the room. Don’t expect many amenities or that you might heat any food up in the room either. Would I stay again? No. I would be looking for cheaper and further away from the stadium and all the construction hassles.

Stayed five nights for a conference nearby. It was around 10 minute walk to both venues of the conference. The location is really convenient and has good access to downtown area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean when i checked in, however, when I asked for room cleaning after three nights, I found that some breadcrumbs and hair on the carpet was not thoroughly cleaned. Overall it was a very good deal to stay and i will recommend it.
