This was a lovely quaint stay in Phuket, close to the Old Town but in a quiet area so it wasn’t noisy at all. I liked the decor of the room and it was spacious, feeling a lot more homely than other hotels. The staff were also very accommodating - I was able to organise a late check in at short notice with no issues! Would love to stay here again longer if I come back to Phuket.

We have now stayed at Sunprime 3 times. We love that it has the best beachfront location in Kamala, steps from the beach and sea. The staff are all lovely and provide a level of service that you'd hope for in a mid-level hotel like this. Breakfast is good with a wide variety and only really missing the barista coffee you'd get at a higher standard property (so no iced coffee etc.). The hotel's FOUR pools are a standout...you can choose from two beachfront pool or two massive pools in the resort interior...all have sparkling clean water and there are a couple of swim up bar options. There is an abundance of sun loungers so you should never struggle. We opted for the smaller and perhaps older deluxe room with partial sea view this time - it was not noticeably different from the grand deluxe pool view we've stayed in before, the setup was virtually identical but perhaps just marginally smaller. Aircon was effective but on the noisy side. Honest review: this hotel is not the last word in luxury, it doesn't claim to be. It is beloved of the European package holiday crowd. As an adults only hotel the average customer is definitely on the older side with very few to no groups of younger people. Enjoy it for what it is and what it does well and not what it doesn't offer!

Kalima Resort & Spa – A Hotel We'd Love to Return To We first discovered Kalima because of the Japanese restaurant on the hotel grounds. We were immediately impressed by the panoramic views and the famous infinity pool – so much so that we booked a few nights there almost immediately after dinner. And honestly, the hotel exceeded our expectations. The service here is truly top-notch, the infrastructure is excellent, and the staff are incredibly attentive. We appreciated the attention to detail: you can easily contact the reception, order services, and book activities through a convenient app, saving a lot of time on organizational matters. I particularly want to highlight the staff – all employees are very friendly, attentive, and respond quickly to any requests. Housekeeping was done daily and to a high standard, without any complaints. The breakfasts deserve special mention. The selection is truly impressive: Japanese and Italian cuisine, BBQ, a wide variety of fresh fruits, desserts, a chocolate fountain, and a DIY bar with mojitos and other cocktails. There's also a separate coffee bar where you can order coffee drinks or a matcha latte. We couldn't even try everything in just a few days. Another pleasant bonus is the recently opened sauna next to the main pool. It's very well-equipped, and thanks to regular cleaning, it's always clean and fresh inside, without any damp smell. The hotel is located a bit away from the main city infrastructure. However, this is perfectly compensated by the free shuttle service to and from Jungceylon, which runs throughout the day. Ultimately, we had such a wonderful time that we decided to extend our stay for an additional night. For us, this is probably the best indicator of how much we loved the hotel. A big thank you to the entire team at Kalima Resort & Spa for a wonderful vacation. I'm sure this was far from our last stay here – we will definitely be back again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our child. On the downside, there was a slight sewage smell in the room. When housekeeping came to clean, we asked them to come back in 10 minutes, but they only showed up 2 hours later when our child was asleep. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and responsive. We were particularly impressed with the play area, the clean swimming pool, the restaurant with its wide (and delicious!) selection of dishes, and the room with a PlayStation, billiards, and foosball. There's also a gym. It's an excellent option for families with children, and they've also thought of everything for guests with pets. We left very satisfied!

An incredible return visit — Cape Sienna never disappoints This was our second stay at Cape Sienna, and it was every bit as wonderful as the first — maybe even better. We stayed for 9 nights and were sad to leave. What struck us right away was that the staff remembered we were returning guests. That kind of attention to detail says a lot about how this hotel treats its guests, and it made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived. The views here are simply amazing — the kind you find yourself stopping to take in every single day, whether from the room, the pool, or the restaurant. Cape Sienna’s hillside position gives it a real edge, and it never gets old. The location is another huge plus. You’re close to everything you’d want — restaurants, beaches, and activities are all within easy reach, so you get the best of both a peaceful retreat and easy access to explore. A beautiful hotel with magnificent views from the pool, restaurants, and many rooms. It's more suited for adults seeking a quiet, secluded getaway. You'll hardly see anyone anywhere! There's a lovely small beach with great snorkeling, loungers, a cafe, and a restroom, and again, hardly anyone there! Make sure to bring your water shoes. The breakfast selection is small, with a menu for hot dishes and a small buffet line. The coffee is excellent. I had lunch twice; one time it was delicious – spaghetti with scallops – but the second time, the duck confit was old and not very good. For dinner, we either drove or walked to the promenade, where there are many budget-friendly options. The buggies are helpful for navigating the hills. The staff is superb; they promptly resolve all issues. When it rained, they ran to the car with umbrellas to help us stay dry. We even received a room upgrade and were allowed a late check-out, which was incredibly convenient. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

very good service . rooms were comfortable as the beds . location is further back from patong Beach and elevated on mountain side. Great views from roof top pool . elevator was good . . can walk 5 nin down hill to 711 and shops . could easily walk to beach but a bike is easier.

Overall we had a great stay at Dara hotel. The staff are friendly and the reception staff, in particular, dealt quickly and professionally with issues regarding faulty safes and the room not being cleaned on one occasion. The pool is about 20m and is cleaned regularly. We chilled here most mornings. The gym is adequate and I appreciated the hotel maintenance cleaning and removing equipment that was broken. I used the treadmill and weights daily. The hotel should have rules for using the gym though, as parents allowed their children to play on the equipment a few times when I was in there which is quite dangerous. The rooms were spacious and the room cleaning ladies enjoyed making our towels into different animals! They were super friendly too. We enjoyed the breakfast which was 350 baht each per day. The hotel had an extensive spread catering for western and Asian customers. I would stay here again as it’s close to 2 huge malls and about 30-40mins from Patong, Kata and Karon beaches, which we liked, but found the location of Dara hotel was an easier pace, less noisy and more suited to us.

A walk across the street to the best beach near Phuket Town makes this resort prime property. Ao Yon beach, while small, does not draw the big crowds like Nai Harn, Karon, Kata, or Patong. Also safer for swimming. Great breakfast venue called The Cove with front row seat by the beach just a 2 minute walk. The resort swimming pool is long, narrow, squiggly, and attractive, but has kayak boats popular for guest use, which can make swimming laps impractical unless using the pool at off hours. The rooftop has a smaller pool + bar. The room is on the small side, the mattress a little too soft for me, and the shower temperature control is erratic. Still, room has all the amenities one should need. There is a sauna room, one for men one for women. I needed help to open the sticky sauna door, asked reception twice, nobody helped. Finally a staff person passing by assisted. Elderlies may be put off by the younger demographic the resort attracts and the occasional party-like noise. Luckily my room was on top floor end of the building. Overall well worth a stay
