The hotel is in a great location, with the city centre within easy walking distance, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. However, there is definitely room for improvement in the room amenities. When I asked the front desk, I was informed that only a toothbrush and toothpaste were provided. Basic essentials such as a shower cap, toiletries, and room slippers were not available, which was disappointing and below what I would normally expect from a hotel. Adding these simple amenities would greatly improve the overall guest experience.

We arrived to the hotel late at night, check in was quick and simple, had a good nights sleep then a great breakfast in the morning. Rooms are basic and missing some necessary storage or shelving.

I highly highly recommended this hotel we tried this one for the first time instead of where we'd usually stay due to difference in price but wow we were shocked, hotel staff especially the guy who checked us in was so nice and professional and friendly, the room is very spacious and comfortable bed, Aircon is amazing especially with this heat, up on 9th floor, there's shops within walking distance also if need of snacks or drink late at night. We would stay here every time we come Bristol now love this place nothing to say that was bad as there was not anything bad! 5 stars perfection Thank you so much!

The hotel was great and the staff were very helpful, but the location is ok as there is not much around the area and you are a bit of a trek from the centre of town & things to do. The lady who checked us in, I believe that she is Scottish, was so helpful and we cannot thank her enough for all that she did for us, she is a credit to the business. The room was comfy and quiet, and the breakfast was great. I would recommend staying here but for us I think we'd rather stay closer to amenities in future, when we revisit Bristol

Wow! Where do I even start? After a stressful time in the bus and getting wrong directions from the hire car GPS being out of date, arriving at this place made everything worthwhile. Firstly the place is incredibly classy and stylish, both inside and out. The place resembles a mansion. Then the room. Much larger than any I'd stayed in the UK up to that point and with fantastic central heating, couch and bay window. Then there are the many lovely lounge areas all through the facility as well as bar open long hours with Alfie providing first class help and service. Other staff worth highlighting are Alicia with her excellent attentive breakfast help. Lily and Shae at the front desk were both very helpful. In spite of a small issue, Shae went above and beyond to fix the issue even though it was late. This place is amazing value and I would recommend it highly to anyone visiting Bristol. Although it's a little out of the way, the extra effort in terms of car rental or Uber costs are more than worth it. .

Breakfast options are limited but of good quality, and dinner portions are generous. The swimming pool is clean and not too crowded. The environment is beautiful. I didn't have much time to explore the surroundings, but I was very satisfied staying at the hotel.

Very bad experience, my handbag was stolen! I and my family had a very bad experience during our stay at your hotel from 9 to 11 August. On 11 August morning, we had the buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant. I placed my handbag behind the back of my daughter while I went to get food. When I returned to the table, my daughter informed me that a strange man had come and sat next to her; she said the table was occupied and that man then left. I found this situation highly unusual, especially given that many seats and tables were available. At the same time, I discovered that my handbag, which had been behind my daughter, had disappeared! I noticed that my handbag was stolen by a man. My husband informed the hotel reception immediately and asked whether anyone had seen a stranger sit next to our daughter. We then walked around the hotel and searched for the handbag, but it could not be found. The hotel manager reviewed the CCTV footage and identified two suspects who were not hotel guests; however, the manager noted that there was no CCTV coverage at the restaurant entrance or at the back door, so they could not confirm how the suspects entered or whether they were the individuals who sat next to our daughter. I also questioned why, during buffet breakfast, all attendees should be registered and checked by room number before entering the restaurant, and how a stranger was able to enter and sit next to my daughter without being identified! During our holiday trip, we encountered serious security issues at the hotel, which we found unacceptable: a stranger was able to enter the restaurant without any notification, and there was no CCTV coverage at the entrance or the backdoor. As a result of these failures, we lost our handbag along with our wallets, cash, driving license, car keys, and home keys. We now need to replace all of these items urgently, and we are particularly concerned about the safety of our car and home because the driving license and keys were taken. Our daughter and son are understandably very worried and are afraid to remain in the hotel, given the perceived lack of adequate security. Therefore, we have had to cancel the rest of our itinerary and request that the hotel address these lapses immediately to prevent similar incidents.

Hi there, The only criticism I have is that when I booked the room, the description said that it had a view of the gorge. I have put two pictures below to show that the room, whilst lovely and had a large balcony, did not really come with a view of the gorge. I was hoping I would be in the room above, which I'm sure has a much better view. So the description was misleading unfortunately.

The front desk clerk who received the check-in was very enthusiastic. The room was cold after check-in. I called the front desk and arranged for a blanket to be delivered. The service was good. There are small snacks in the room, which is not bad.
