We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms and the facilities of the rooms. Secure parking was great. Unfortunately there were a couple of things that were disappointing. The linens had hair in them and the restaurant that was supposed to be open until 9pm was not open on our second night at all. After being out all day in very warm conditions we were excited to come back to the accommodation and have something to eat we were not able to do so and there was no explanation provided other than it’s been closed all night.

The room is very good! The house I chose by the street was reserved for me in advance by this hotel, and I kept emailing them a week before I checked in. The hotel has been patient in replying to me, which makes me feel that the service attitude is very good. Although my booking software shows that there are no toiletries and you need to bring them yourself, in fact, the hotel has toiletries, but there are no toothbrushes, slippers, etc., I think this is acceptable. The hotel staff vacuumed, mopted and changed the garbage bags every day. During this time, my suitcase was completely open, but nothing was lost. The hotel is very close to all the scenic spots, which is very convenient. I went to 9 scenic spots in one day! It's just that there are not many shopping malls around here. I like this hotel very much. I will continue to book this hotel next time I come to Sydney.

The location is excellent, very close to the Royal Botanic Gardens. The cleanliness was also very good. I forgot my pillow at the hotel and called in the evening to inquire. We had forgotten the room number, and the front desk said they were busy but would look for it and contact me. It's been two days and I haven't heard back, so I've given up hope. There's no breakfast, but it comes with an induction hob, pot, cutlery, and plates, so you can cook something yourself.

Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour. Room is neat & spacious. Staff were extremely helpful, especially credits to a Front Desk Staff named Tristan settling my room arrangement & bill issue very efficiently. Highly recommend this hotel!

Just like in the photos, the room was spacious and clean, and everyone was friendly, yet it was still quiet. 🤗 There were lockers too, so I didn't have to worry about anything as long as I had my key. The other guests were well-behaved, and the staff were all charming and kind. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I was very satisfied. The location was also good; although it's a bit of a walk from the station, it didn't affect my sightseeing at all.

The surrounding area is nice, located in the high-tech zone with office buildings and apartments nearby, so you don't encounter any dodgy characters. It's a ten-minute walk to Macquarie University Metro Station, and there's a shopping mall right next to the station, which is super convenient. If you have enough time, you can also take a walk to Macquarie University – it really is Australia's most picturesque university in terms of natural scenery. All in all, this hotel is great for independent travelers with plenty of time and a limited budget.

The environment is nice, but it's too far from the city center. It takes an hour to get there from the Australian Museum by the 410 bus. It's suitable for those visiting Macquarie University as it's right by the campus green.

Only 3 pillows on a king-size bed No wine glasses provided; just two drinking tumblers No face washers in the bathroom. Restaurant food was very good. Only one staff member to wait on tables plus get drinks from the bar; nevertheless, the staff member was very friendly and did his best Only one person serving in the bar despite many customers.

* Location - Excellent, right across from World Tower. - Plenty of supermarkets nearby (Coles, Asian supermarkets, etc.). * Bedroom - Complete privacy and comfortable mattress. - Ample charging points and good space for luggage/generally clean. * Bathroom & Shower - Shampoo & body wash provided/hair dryer available. - Not too crowded, spacious, and generally clean. * Kitchen (seems to be the only downside) - Microwave, coffee pot, and toaster available. - Suitable for simple meals, but actual cooking is difficult/clean. - Refrigerator & freezer provided/plenty of space. * Currently, the elevator is under renovation, so only stairs are available, which is inconvenient (expected to be completed by September). * Overall, it's a good place to stay for the price.
