The surrounding area has all the necessary amenities, and transportation is very convenient, with the subway station just a 3-minute walk away, making it super easy to get around. Service: The service is also top-notch. The staff are warm and professional, making both check-in and communication smooth. They are prompt in responding to any requests, making you feel right at home. The only minor drawback is that it can be a bit noisy at night due to constant traffic, which slightly affected my sleep.

The location is excellent, very close to the Royal Botanic Gardens. The cleanliness was also very good. I forgot my pillow at the hotel and called in the evening to inquire. We had forgotten the room number, and the front desk said they were busy but would look for it and contact me. It's been two days and I haven't heard back, so I've given up hope. There's no breakfast, but it comes with an induction hob, pot, cutlery, and plates, so you can cook something yourself.

Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour. Room is neat & spacious. Staff were extremely helpful, especially credits to a Front Desk Staff named Tristan settling my room arrangement & bill issue very efficiently. Highly recommend this hotel!

* Location - Excellent, right across from World Tower. - Plenty of supermarkets nearby (Coles, Asian supermarkets, etc.). * Bedroom - Complete privacy and comfortable mattress. - Ample charging points and good space for luggage/generally clean. * Bathroom & Shower - Shampoo & body wash provided/hair dryer available. - Not too crowded, spacious, and generally clean. * Kitchen (seems to be the only downside) - Microwave, coffee pot, and toaster available. - Suitable for simple meals, but actual cooking is difficult/clean. - Refrigerator & freezer provided/plenty of space. * Currently, the elevator is under renovation, so only stairs are available, which is inconvenient (expected to be completed by September). * Overall, it's a good place to stay for the price.

Traveling solo, I found the hotel's location to be excellent. The bed was surprisingly large, and it's a shared bathroom setup. They provided some complimentary snacks, which was a nice touch. However, the soundproofing in the room was a bit weak, and breakfast was just okay. Other than that, everything else was pretty good.

I loved my stay at this hostel. I met great people, the room was super comfy, very quiet. The kitchen + living room are super spacious, it's really nice here! Location is perfect, just a 15min walk from the botanical gardens + a view on the opera house. And a 2 min walk from Kingscross train station, from which you can take a train to most parts of the city + outside of Syndey. Lovely! If you stay in Sydney, I would 100% recommend London Plane Backpackers.
