I stayed at the Riess City Hotel Vienna. It's very close to a Spar supermarket and not far from the inner city, about a 20-minute walk. A BOLT taxi ride was around 100 RMB. The hotel feels more like a guesthouse, with a strong unique personality. The rooms are named after different wineries. I booked a family room, which was very spacious. Slippers, shower gel, and shampoo were provided, and the room was cleaned daily, which was great. However, there was no kettle, toothpaste, or toothbrush. The hotel staff are generally young and few in number; the same group handles front desk, F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance. The hotel seems to be an old building, renovated in 2025. After entering the hotel, you need to go up a small flight of stairs to reach the front desk. But if you have luggage, there's a handbell, and staff will come down to help. Breakfast is from 7 am to 11 am, which is a generous timeframe, but the food is Western-style with lots of cheese, various breads, and cold cuts. The most unique feature of the hotel is probably its elevator, which has a pull-door entrance and a very retro feel.

Nice hotel that’s very well appointed and comfortable. Great value for a single room for 100  Euros. Location is a bit out of the way, though still very walkable to the old town where most tourist sites are located. Nice thing is it’s out of the realm of tourist feeling area. Would stay there again given the value for the money.

The hotel was good, but there was some confusion with the payments. They upgraded us to a studio room for free on the first day, and on the last day, they asked for a €50 extra charge. They even sent an email for payment later. I'm not sure what the confusion is/was, but that left a negative feeling for sure.

Great location, close to the central station. The room was small but clean. The front desk service was good. What was not so great was that even though check-in time was stated as 2 PM, we were told to come back after 5 PM. Also, during check-in, we were asked to fill out some forms, but no one mentioned it was for a membership registration. I later received an email confirming I had become a member. The room didn't have a mini-fridge. We booked two rooms, and the air conditioning in one of them was broken, blowing hot air on a sweltering day. After talking to them, they moved us to another room and even gave us two drink vouchers. The restaurant downstairs also served decent food.

The cleanliness here was a huge step up! I had to check out of another hotel because the bedding there had obvious stains and hair. In contrast, every mirrored surface here was sparkling clean. It's also great that there's a shared kitchen if you want to cook, and the room has air conditioning and blackout curtains, so I slept very comfortably. The only minor downsides were a slightly damp smell in the bathroom and, as other reviews mentioned, the door doesn't have a deadbolt. Staff would often open the door without knocking, which made me feel a bit unsafe at night. I hope they can add an interior deadbolt or guests remember to bring a doorstop. As for the location, it's about a 20-minute drive from the city center, but the tram stop is right outside, so personally, I didn't find it to be an issue.

Nice room, extra clean, gives off a luxurious feel. We would appreciate more space for storing personal belongings (wardrobe) and hanging towels, a small kitchenette (coffee maker, tea/coffee) and . We were given a super comfortable bed and bowl for our dog to use. It would have been good if we had received 2 pairs of slippers since there were two of us (you only get 1 pair).

The hotel rooms are in dire need of renovation. The rooms are outdated and worn. Upon arrival, we even found a sock from a previous guest under the bed. Outdoor sockets are used for outlets indoors. There was only one power outlet on one side of the bed. In the bathroom, the renovation coating on the bathtub is peeling, there's mold on the edges, and the shower head is a maximum of 1.65 meters high. A positive point is the well-functioning air conditioning. The breakfast is good, as long as you're not lactose intolerant or need gluten-free options. There were three preparations of eggs, sausages, mushrooms, and bacon, all served warm. Also, of course, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, muesli, jam, Nutella, and fresh fruit. Unfortunately, the Kaiser rolls were too hard and dry every day, but the croissants, on the other hand, were good.

The hotel is easy to access from central station by tramO, about 5 mins walked from rennweg junction. Wooend furnitures. Good breakfast. If you were hungry during night, opposite the hotel has 24/7 goods machines which is fun.
