Reception and check-out were excellent. The concierge Ivo is a top in his field. We had a junior suite at the front. The room was really spacious. We think the bathroom and the bed are excellent. The cleaning could have been a little better for the level of this hotel. Clutter under the bed, stains on the carpet/curtains, dusty edges and surfaces. Breakfast in the room was initially messy, but the staff resolved it neatly. The breakfast was tasty, but not special at all. For the level of this hotel you would expect, for example, fresh orange juice, but not so. A missed opportunity! The staff at Des Indes makes the difference. They are very hospitable, service-oriented and ensure that we continue to choose this hotel.

The hotel was really clean. The photos we saw of this hotel all over the internet showed it to be close to the promenade, but unfortunately it wasn't like the photos and it was a long walk from many things. The breakfast didn't have the variety that a five-star hotel should have, it was about the same as a four-star hotel and there was very little choice. The Netherlands is famous for its cheese, and considering it was a five-star hotel and in the Netherlands, there was very little choice of cheese at the hotel's breakfast. The hotel didn't have slippers, it's a good thing we had brought them with us. We went to five- and four-star hotels in several different countries and they all gave us a bottle of mineral water a day, but here, no, there was no water and we bought it ourselves from the market. And another thing that really bothered us was the extreme coldness of the room🥶, to the point where it was like winter (we were there on September 1st). The air conditioner in the room was always on and could not be turned off at all, and they themselves confirmed this, and unfortunately I got sick there🥺😮💨. One of the towels and one of the pillowcases were also dirty. If they can't be washed, they should be thrown away. This brings down the quality of a five-star hotel. The menu selection was limited, but we had a very delicious fish dinner.😋

My first time at the hotel was great. The second time, towels had a smell of some dog. After a shower, I also had a smell of that dog. When you go to shower you don't think about sniffing the towels, and then after shower you have no choice rather than just use what you have. Funny on one side, disgusting on the other. I understand that some guests can use towels to wipe their dogs, which is I think disrespectful to other guests, I would never do that, however hotel housekeeping stuff could notice this smell, and simply place normal ones. For some reason, they didn't do that. Just an advice: smell towels in the hotels BEFORE you go to shower! Somewhat disappointed.

The hotel room in the villa was great. Do note, however, that it requires climbing two steep, narrow flights of stairs to get to it! This wasn't an issue for us, but it's definitely worth being aware of. They do clearly mention this on their website. The staff were friendly and helpful, and a minor problem we had was promptly and efficiently resolved. The hotel is truly right on the beach, just a 100-meter walk away.

A nice, spacious room on the third floor. The elevator went up to floor 2, so there was a bit of a flight of stairs. Upon arrival, the room was very warm (flat roof, window/French balcony couldn't be opened as far as I could see), but the AC cooled it down quickly. AAnonymous UserA nice, spacious room on the third floor. The elevator went up to floor 2, so there was a bit of a flight of stairs. Upon arrival, the room was very warm (flat roof, window/French balcony couldn't be opened as far as I could see), but the AC cooled it down quickly. It was wonderfully quiet at night, so I slept well.
